1 Enjoyable from start to finish
This is not the type of book I would normally read, but I'm glad I took the time to read this one. Interesting story that kept my attention from start to finish. Character development is well done, as we learn throughout the book about what they are facing within themselves and their relationship as well as what they are facing externally as they struggle to survive one obstacle after another; raging wildfire, whitewater rapids, and a bear. Not at all "predictable", I found it hard to put it down as I wanted to continue reading on and find out what happened next all through the book. A good read that's worth taking the time for.
2 A great adventure tale
Bearclaw is an exciting wilderness adventure that kept me hooked. The action was intense - it really put me in the middle of the wild fire. It's a lot of fun to read.
