Belkin Leather Flip Case for iPod w/ Dock Connector Designed for iPod! This case gives you constant access to your iPod’s display when closed, and flips open for docking to keep all your controls easily available. Just secure it with the suction cup inside the Case and you’re ready to take your ten thousand tunes on the road. Featuring fine-grain leather construction and high-quality handcrafting, the case combines style and sturdy materials—so you can protect your iPod, no matter where the music takes you.
1 Good, but not great
This case is heavy duty. It's a little bulky, but it's secure. The iPod fits securely in the case's "cradle," and it even comes with a suction cup for extra hold.

The one BIG drawback is that there is no opening for the TouchWheel, so to access the controls, you need to flip the case open.
2 Horrible Purchase
This was one of the worst purchases I ever made. First of all, it does not fit a 40 gig Ipod as it says it does. Second, it makes any Ipod so bulky that it defeats the purpose of buying an ipod. Third, there's no access to controls. Fourth, the sides are velcrow, and my velcrow wore out within 3 months of purchase. Definitely look elsewhere.
3 Kind of Defeats the Entire Purpose
Got mine as a gift. Very thoughtful, but the design is terrible.

It's huge, first of all. Therefore the whole "my cool little iPod" thing is completely lost.

The design purposely conceals the controls, so you can't actually *use* the iPod.

So you're walking down the street, someone stops you to ask for directions, and you can't pause the Audiobook, therefore losing your place and it's not like rewinding is all that easy, and you have to take the damn thing all apart just to get to it. AND THEN, because it's winter, you get snow all over it.

What a terrible idea.
4 Solid case for 3G ipods -- practical, affordable
While the click wheel, 4G iPods might pose problems for this case, I've had none of the sort with my 3G 20GB. This case was the latest in a long line of attempts to find a suitable way of transporting my iPod.

I tried the PodSleevz -- spiffy, but no protection. The Sportsuit convertible is far too bulky, not to mention poorly crafted. The included Apple one would be nice...except the iPod slides right out of it. Finally, the Action Jacket scratches the bejeebuz out of your iPod.

The F8E533 solves all the problems associated with these previous attempts. While I'd admittedly like more protection on the bottom, it does allow easy dock access. The suction cup -- an 'obvious' idea but one that goes a long way -- is brilliant. No scratching here with a velcro enclosure either. I'm pleased with the case as a whole.

I will, however, echo sentiments of wishing for a better all-around solution. This seems to be the best stop-gap case for the time being.
5 bulky, but protective
Very protective. I feel better knowing that it's in this case.

BUT

it's bulky. it was mistaken as a tape player when it was clipped to my belt. Very annoying, having to pull the velcro on each side off to get to the controls.

overall, im satisfied with this case, but there has to something better out there.
6 What A Piece Of Garbage
I tried this case for my 4g 40gb iPod. When I closed it with the velcro sides it pressed my click wheel down and caused problems shutting off. I have had problems shutting off since trying this case. May be ok for the 15 or 20gb, but did not deliver the help for the 40gb I was looking for. If you need a case, the Xtremity System looks to be one of the best.
7 Keep An Open Mind And Keep Looking
I bought this item at Target, and was very excited initially. As soon as I opened it though, I discovered its internal shell (which is lined, so as not to scratch) was too small for my 4th gen 40 gig. Im not sure what the exact dimensions are of the older model or smaller ones are, but I do know that the 20 gig 3rd gen is smaller. If it had fit my iPod i would be stoked! It has a really cool flip feature so that your iPod is totallt protected from minor bumps and scratched when closed and playing, and it has an opening for charging or updating your iPod (which I dont recomend if your uplaoding over 5 gigs at a time, the iPod tends to get warm anyway, so there is my neautral stance, but bulk and wearability are not big selling points, really it isnt THAT BIG, and compared to the iSkin which literally is responsible for ruining my 3rd gen 40 gig (so sticky and cheeply made) Id say its the next best thing since gucci started naking ipod cases!
8 Not worth it to save $
I thought this product would be a alright product and I would be able to save but its cheap and big it sticks out at my waist and is big, velcro is not a good thing for an ipod, and its hard to take out the suction cup broke after like a month of use, it sucks dont buy it unless your desperate, now I carry my ipod loose but im planning on buying a jamcase that is silicon and only cost about $20 and is the same size of the ipod so it doesnt bother in your pocket. but ive seen the official ipod belt case thats slim and doesnt bother at the waist, $50.
9 Sleek no more
i just put my new ipod in this thing. my once sleek , cool looking mp3 player is now this big fat chunky thing in my pocket. i don't think belkin quite got the idea here. it attaches to the ipod with a plastic suction cup. that's laughable. it got two stars cause instead of one cause it does protect the ipod. i sure wish someone would make one that maintains the "sleek" though.
10 pretty good
When i first got my ipod, i didnt think i would really need a case until I saw how fragile it was. so i came on amazon and bought this case. it is good. i would give it 5 starts if you could use the ipod buttons while its in the case, but tahts not a real problem for me
