1 Laughter, Support and New Friends!
My story, The Fisherman, is in the newest release, Chicken Soup for the Single Parent's Soul. Had I known at that moment, I'd share that evening to thousands of unknown faces in unknown places, I would've put on better perfume.

As a writer and a single parent, it is a compliment to share the journey. The compilation of heart-warming stories in this volume makes me shout, "I wasn't alone after all."

Treat yourself or give it as a gift. Celebrate the stories and draw laughter, comfort and joy from realizing it's okay to be a single parent. 2 Chicken Soup for the Soul fan
Finally! I don't know what took so long, but it's about time Chicken Soup did a book for Single Parents! Chicken Soup for the SINGLE PARENT'S Soul is an awesome book, and one of the best Chicken Soup books yet. I especially love the stories "I Love You Daddy," "Divine Order," and "Small Moments." There is also one from a boy who is autistic called "Forgiving My Dad" that is really beautiful. I bought the book for myself (I'm a single mom of three) and bought it for two of my single parent friends. It is a great way to say "I believe in you" and "you're going to make it."
3 A Single Father is inspired
I thought the "Chicken Soup for the Single Parent's Soul" would be more for single moms, but was really surprised to find it a great book for single dads too. As a newly divorced single dad with six children, I need all the inspiration I can get - and this book has it! Some of the stories were real heart-tuggers, others made me smile and feel good, and some just made me laugh. All in all, whether you're a single mother or single father, this book is a terrifc read, especially for those times when you're really overwhelmed...as single parents, that can be quite often!
