1 COMPATIBLE not only XP ,but with 2003 server!
This machine compatible not only with XP,but with the latest one( 2003 server),if you get problem with it,just make sure slowly follow the instruction of the cd driver,then you will get them all.
2 Excellent Scaner/Printer/Copier
My Family enjoys the speed and versatility of the A3000. I see other customers have complained about the scanner, but I has been a life saver for us. It can scan textbook pages as images or into Character recognition software for easy implementation into Word processors. Scanned images are saved to a folder you specify as jpeg format images. (You do have to run the A3000 utlity or ABBY when scanning - others may not have known this).
It prints faster and quieter than our HP890 inkjet. It takes Lexmark ink cartridges, which are widely available. The A3000 footprint is small and fits on a roller shelf under my desk. HP does have a download site for the driver, but has limited support since they bought Compaq and the printer doesnt use HP cartridges. But this was a well designed product and after nearly 2 years of service we use it almost daily and it still works and acts like new.
3 Scanner Compaq A3000 all in one
I bought this Compaq A3000 at a local store and ever since I got it the printer and copier work fine but the scanner does not work and hasn't work since I got it. I think they gave me the wrong disk for it. I have a new Compaq Presario 6000 Windows XP. Could please advise me what to do to get this to work. I have emailed and called the Compaq Service and still do not get it to work.

All I have to say is that I have Windows XP and with the drivers from the Compaq website, the A3000 works like a charm.

Ive had 2 o fthese. The drivers for XP dont work. DOnt waste your time.
6 What a great deal
I got this printer because of price and features. I recieved even more than I expected. To do it again is a defininate YES, even at a higher price. I print a lot stuff for the kids school projects and is more than capable of doing any job they ask. Print quaility is outstanding and fast. I have an access to a HP (HP135d)costing twice the price and have found this machine can out perform the "Big Dogs"! No regretes! TWO THUMBS UP!!

9 A Good All in One
The Compaq A3000 is a good all in one. I didn't buy it here but I do like Compaq printers. I had one for years until it broke and I replaced it with this item. Its a good copier, printer, and scanner. The only problem that I have with it that I have to set the printing scale for better resolution when printing at higher speeds. Haven't tried printing photos yet will try and let you know. All in all a good all in one for the home.
