The setup is promising: The Romano mob family know that they're being betrayed by a hidden FBI informant in their ranks, so they decide to send a family member under cover to destroy the evidence against them--but the only family member the FBI won't recognize is the family black sheep, Corky (Chris Kattan), a touchy-feely aspiring veterinarian. But once Corky goes undercover, his klutzy ways accidentally make him the star of the FBI, sparking envy from his fellow agents and arousing suspicion in the mob. Though the script of
Corky Romano declines as the movie goes on, Kattan actually keeps the picture going; his spastic, sniveling, childish energy is engaging, and at its best the production bubbles over with silliness. It only falls flat when Kattan has to behave in a remotely adult manner, which fortunately doesn't happen very often. Cheerful dopiness. Featuring Peter Falk, Peter Berg, and Chris Penn as mobsters.

1 Very disappointing
I almost turned this one off after the tired shtick Kattan played out in the vet's office. But I must say the part with the accidental cocaine buzz right before speaking in front of a bunch of kids was pretty damn funny. Aside from this, I could barely stand it. Some might call this mindless entertainment. Mindless? Very. Entertainment? Not really.
2 Corky Romano!
Corky Romano has got to be one of the best movies EVER!!! It is doesn't drrraaaagggg on like other movies do, so it's easy to watch over and over again without getting bored. Plus, it's hilarious without being crude like you may find in other comedies. I've seen this movie 4 complete times being said on 3/22/2004, but by the time you're reading this, it may be twice as many! I've memorized entire scenes, even a chapter! Corky is relativly family friendly, though some things some people might find inappropriate for younger people, primarily the swear words. Pops Romano, a mafia father is having charges pressed against him, so he sends his son, Corky, to go undercover as an FBI Agent and destroy all evidence against him. His new fake name is Corky Pissant, which he claims is pronounced "pea-sont," and his fake resumˇ says he knows five different languages, has an olympic gold medal for sharpshooting, and is a black belt in some fighting style. Now Corky has to try and get the evidence while trying to live up to his fake resumˇ. The movie takes place over only 3 days or so, so it is fast-paced. Overall, "Corky Romano" is a fun movie to watch and I would recommend it to anyone.

Version of Corky Romano Reviewed: Touchstone Entertainment Widescreen DVD, 2003
ABOUT THE FILM
The Premise: Corky Romano (Chris Kattan) is the black sheep son in a dysfunctional, quirky mafia family. He's not a fan of the family business--he's much more concerned with animals (he's an assistant veterinarian), helping people, and spreading good cheer and hugs (think of a less "flamboyant" version of Richard Simmons). Because of this, after his mother passed away, his father (Peter Falk) and brothers (Peter Berg and Chris Penn) disowned him. However, when the family business is threatened by an informant working with the FBI, they need someone whom they can trust, but who isn't a known link to the family, to pose as an FBI agent and find out what they know and how they know it. Corky is unwillingly recruited for the job.
Facts And Assessments To Help You Decide Whether You Might Like This Film:
This is a fish-out-of-water comedy, and more specifically, would fit into a "Saturday Night Live comedy" genre. The Saturday Night Live comedy genre, with Kattan being the formal link to Saturday Night Live here, usually plays something like a film-length skit from the show, with more expensive production values, and a more formally structured plot. Although a lot of the humor can be sophomoric (which isn't meant as a value judgment--a lot of people, including me, enjoy sophomoric humor), Saturday Night Live comedies often have more sophisticated comedic subtexts, too. Corky Romano is heavier on the sophomoric and slapstick side.
Fans of the genre, and especially Chris Kattan fans, are most likely to enjoy the film. If some of Kattan's work on Saturday Night Live could get on your nerves, you may quickly grow tired of him in the film. If you're primarily interested in Corky Romano because you like other actors in the film, such as Peter Falk, be aware that besides Kattan, most of the other roles are more like "bit parts".
ABOUT THE DISC
Compared to a lot of recent releases, Corky Romano is a bit slim on special features. There are two "extended scenes", each only a few minutes long. One was definitely an alternate take. The other may have just been edited. In my view, both of these were even funnier than the versions that ended up in the final cut--this can be either positive (in that it's quality material as an extra) or a negative (in that it makes you realize that the film could have been even funnier), depending on how you look at it.
If you are interested in the process of filmmaking, the best extra feature for you would be the "All Access" extra, which is about 10 minutes long. Although there is no narration to explain what is going on, you see video footage of the director, cast and crew at work doing multiple takes of one particular scene. This will help you understand the idea of shooting "coverage", and implicitly demonstrate the importance of post-production sound processing, editing, and the strong effect that the addition of a score has on a film. On a positive/negative note again, much of the material that was cut out of this scene in the final version of the film was funnier to me.
Unfortunately, there is no commentary track provided, and this is one of the many discs where the box art lists items such as "Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound", "Widescreen (1.85:1)", and "Spanish and French Subtitles" as "Special Features", in order to make the disc look more substantial. Also, when navigating the menus, one of which is amusingly animated (and again this has the unintended negative effect of making you notice that the other menus aren't animated), they included a special section for a sole trailer for another film, Bubble Boy, as if that were some outstanding special feature.
4 put a cork in it Corky
man, Kattan is so annoying in this movie, I, I just wish it was never made for some reason but I cant deny that this was ok funny, yes I say it it was ok funny. the highlight is when Corky is wacked out of his skull on cocaine and he starts acting crazy in front of the kids, so hilarious. otherwise its a movie full of unfunny and dry jokes and nonstop nagging and whining from Peter Berg and Chris Penn(whos gay in this one and is wrong). Peter Falk(Columbo) is wasted as Pops Romano. one bad, wrong joke of a movie
5 Kattan is Fall Down Hilarious. We Want 'Mango' Movie....
Kattan is definitely one of those actors who is seemingly from another planet. His manic posturing, his wide eyed stares, his innocent, well meaning klutz stance all serves him well in this sometimes over the top comedy with a preposturous premise on how a gangland family has the 'nice' vetinarian son infiltrate the FBI in order to grab hold of the pater familias' record on a series of mob related incidences. The FBI has taken to Py-ssahnt's penchant for wearing obnoxious ties and flubbing his way thru serious undercover assignments. His co-stars Falk, Penn, et al, seem to be enjoying themselves in this comedy. It's big fun for folks who don't mind laughing at something in this vein. Kattan is a Jerry Lewis clone without the 'Hey, Laaaaadaaaay' goofiness. But he's still very funny and very goofy. Can't wait for a Mango movie.
6 Corky
When I first saw this movie, I could not stop laughing. So I watched it again and again. You need to buy this movie for your collection. If you do buy it and don't laugh yourself to death, you have no sense of humor. You need to buy this. One of the reasons this is so funny is because of Chris Kattan(Plays Corky). He is a star of the current Saturday Night Live Show. You want to get this.
7 greatness
this is an example of a good comedy from ex snl other than will ferrell who is hella funny chris kattan is the funniest person to come off snl in the past few years. it is a great comedy and it's worth watching.
8 IT'S A GOOD LAUGH!
I really enjoyed Corky Romano because it is one of those so dumb it is funny movies and really movies are supposed to take your mind off your everyday life and problems. Well guess what, this one does accomplish that whether you enjoy it or not. I have watched it several times and just do not tire of it as it always cheers me up! It gives the cop going undercover a twist by a mobster family member going undercover as an FBI agent and the rest is all the silly stuff that would never occur in normal life, its worth a viewing.
9 SNL diehards beware
In a movie that combines unintelligent comedy with the FBI, Chris Kattan gives a performance that you'll either love or hate. Most popular for his roles on SNL (Mango, Mr. Peepers), Kattan might just wear out his welcome midway into the movie. `Corky Romano' seemed to be a theater blockbuster back in 2001, though it is really nothing we haven't seen before. The cast is pretty limited as Kattan is really the only one who shines; but Peter Falk and Chris Penn do allow for some good laughs in their supporting roles. I was not very impressed with the film as a whole. I found it to be reminiscent of a `Naked Gun' movie, but with more seriousness. Playing the title character, Kattan fumbles around for 85 minutes of supposed-to-be comedy. Some parts were hilarious, while others were down-right dumb. Still, it's the few amusing parts that make this movie watch-able.
The story is based on the character of Corky, who is a forgotten son in a infamous mafia family. When the family comes upon hard times, with their father (Peter Falk) set up for jail, they ask Corky to go undercover and steal the evidence that would convict him. The entire script is weakly developed; as Corky, who is an assistant veterinarian, is allowed to become an FBI agent with, seemingly, no questions asked. As I said, all Kattan does is fumble around and act stupid; while somehow becoming famous for solving cases and catching criminals. Even with a dismal story and poor casting, Kattan does manage to bring some laughs to the screen. His fake FBI name is Agent Pissante (it's French, but everyone likes to pronounce it pxss-ant). The fact that one of his brothers is gay and the other can't read is also silly, but I did enjoy the part where Corky tried to compare his [gay] brother to Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. As you probably know from watching Kattan on TV's Saturday Night Live, he brings his own blend of comedy to the screen. That comedy is certainly an acquired taste, and it's very hard to attain a liking here. If you find his SNL characters Mr. Peepers or Mango to be stupid, you won't like this movie. It almost seems like `Corky Romano' is aimed at teenage girls who smirk and snicker over anything. In spite of everything bad I`ve said about this movie, it's still somewhat enjoyable. If you like those `Dumb & Dumber' (but dumber) or SNL-type movies, there's a good chance you'll enjoy this one.
I gave this movie 3 stars because I think it was worth my time. However, I probably won't watch it again (any time soon). There were some good one-liners (i.e. the groovy tie club excerpt, the Matthew Perry poster, the "we could all take a page out of Pissante's book" quote), but overall the humor was rather one-dimensional. The music put the movie was also daft and clichˇ; "We're Not Gonna Take It" was playing when the family comes to rescue Corky. I don't know if there's a soundtrack, but if there is don't buy it. As for the ending, I think it was fitting. I won't ruin it for you. Anyways, `Corky Romano' is not all it's cracked up to be. It's a bad twist on FBI-related films and not as good as `A Night At The Roxbury' or even the `Naked Gun' series. This film is the epitome of helpless, slapstick comedy and is definitely not for everyone. SNL fans will probably enjoy it, but if you flip the channel when Mango appears, you'll almost certainly dislike this movie.
10 I should buy a boat! AWESOME MOVIE!
Ok. This is... one of the FUNNIEST movies ever. If you saw it in the theater and you weren't too impressed, give this movie another shot because I was the same way. It didn't do too much for me in the theater, but I rented it later when it came out on video and I was cracking up! Now it's one of my favorite movies... I know it's a little hard to get at first, but after that it is soooooooo good! I looove this this movie and YOU WILL TOO.
11 Not great, but not bad either
If you don't like Chris Kattan, you shouldn't even be reading this. If you like Chris Kattan, you will probably like this movie. Chris is perky, energetic, adorable, and rather silly in this movie ... everything you'd expect from him really. The plot is better than most would probably like to admit. Yet, this movie still is not a stand-out. Perhaps it's too perky, energetic, etc. I can't put my finger on what was missing or what was saturating in this movie that prevented it from being a great comedy, but it just wasn't. But again, it wasn't bad either -- worth a watch or a rental, but maybe not a purchase.
As you've probably deduced from the previews, Chris' character is a bubbly and likeable, albeit clutzy, veterinarian who happens to be part of a mob family. This is the obvious irony and source of most of the humor in the movie. Chris feigns FBI agent for most of the movie, which is as funny as it is unbelievable. There is the mandatory love interest who is also an FBI agent. And Chris of course learns a thing or two along the way. There's nothing particularly shocking or innovative in this movie but it does generally do its job -- it makes you laugh ... or at least chuckle.
12 corky romano
I don't recomend this movie to you because it's supposed to be a comedy but it wasn't very funny. Well maybe some parts were funny but not really. That's just my opinion but you could see it if you wanted to. But i'm just saying it wasn't very good.
13 Don't expect a lot and you might be surprised....
Chris Kattan of Saturday Night Live plays the title character in this send-up of mob movies. His character is the disowned son of the mob boss currently being investigated. While his two brothers are enforcers in the family Corky is a lowly assistant vet with aspirations of owning his own animal hospital.
When it is discovered that someone in the family is turning informant and feeding the Feds information they decide that someone should go undercover in the FBI to retrieve all the incriminating evidence. Corky is picked and forced to do this. His cover is designed as that of a super-agent and suddenly he finds himself leading a few different task forces as while as trying to protect his real family.
Possibly having low expectations concerning this movie helped, but there were some scenes in it that just about had me on the floor I was laughing so hard. It is well executed and Kattan is great at the physical comedy required for this role. Is this a thinking person's comedy? Not at all. This is strictly something that you watch if you want totally light fluff and don't have high expectations. Be prepared though, it just might surprise you.
14 Some Funny Scenes....
Corky, the incessantly perky A-HA listening Veterinarian's assistant in his yellow convertible with the 'free hugs' sticker stuck on the back, is the prodigal son of a mob boss. When his dad is framed for murder, what's the solution?
Send in Corky to infiltrate the FBI, and get the papers back!
What follows is a series of comedic skits, where Corky embarrasses himself, but ends up inadvertently saving the day.
If it weren't for the over-reliance on 'potty' humor, I would give this movie 4 stars, because there were actually several funny scenes. (I particularly liked the scene where Corky's cousin is substituting for him at the Vet's office. Too funny).
15 AS FUNNY AS A HOT POKER IN THE EYE
A more apt title for this movie would be DORKY MORONO. Corky Romano is the son of a mafia boss who must go undercover as an FBI agent and steal evidence that could put his father in jail. But somehow the bumbling fool manages to unwittingly become the most indispensible agent in the bureau. This raspberry fest is bought to you by the producer of BIG DADDY and THE WATERBOY, and I wouldn't be surprised is Adam Sandler had rejected the script; it's too feeble even by his standards. But if you have an IQ of 15 you might derive some entertainment from this movie.
16 Chris Kattans First Starring Film
Chris Kattan is very funny in this movie. He plays a quierky son of a big mob boss. With the help of his brothers he goes undercover as FBI Pissant. This movie was a great low budget film.
17 Wow...
Honesty hurts. It sinks deep, and sometimes hits harder than we would like. Corky Romano isn't stupid humor, it's rediculous. It may very well be the dumbest waste of time I have ever applied.
Corky Romano is like rewinding your dvd's. It serves no purpose, and its embarassing. Jerry Lewis covered everything in this movie, with more talent, and skill, decades ago.
The Plot, if I dare mention the word: a single bafoon, with a counterfiet piece of paper and a suit, announcing that he is tapped (and high, and along the way teaches a kiddie class...also high) infiltrates the F.B.I. in a matter of minutes - Its amazing what your cliche' hacker can get you from his basement when you give him a good threat and a slap in the head. Im guilty of liking goofy movies... the "Bill and Teds" are among them, but as a friend, which I hope you consider me to be...don't see this junk. It's a mistake, it stinks. I hate, hate, hated, it. Best of luck to Kattan.
If you liked it, that's great. Terrific for lovers of stupid humor.
18 Ifantile and immature, GO BUY IT!!!
this is a good movie, some people said it was for very immature people, Isnt that how most good comedies are?
There's a scene where Corky accidentally gets some cocaine in his system and then has to give a talk to some gradeschool kids
about fighting crime that is hilarious.
anyway it was pulled off nicely and everyone who appreciates good
comedy will like it.
19 CORKY ROMANO = NON STOP LAUGHING
Corky Romano is a movie that is funny, silly ,and disgusting. Once I saw this movie, I couldn't stop laughing. I really liked the part where he had to translate words in languages such as Vietnamese and Thai. I also liked the part where he talked to a group of second graders on being an agent. If you like to joke around or be funny, Corky Romano is the right movie for you. The movie is about the Romano family being betrayed by a hidden FBI informent,so they decide to send a family member to erase all of the evidence. They had to send Corky Romano(Chris Katten) because he's the only family member that the FBI won't recognize. Corky's silly attitude accidentally made him becomes a star after going undercover. I give Corky Romano 5 siily stars.
20 Why Guys like Falk or Roundtree Is in This Awful Slapstick?
If you are a fan of Chris Kattan, a funny man of SNL, you will love this anyway, so please don't read the rest of my review. Just buy this one, and enjoy yourself.
The fact is "Corky Romano" is so awful that it is a kind of perverse fun for non-Kattan devotees. It is about a guy "Corky" Romano, a vet, who happens to have once been a member in a mob family, but now is kicked out of the circle because he is too unsuitable for the family business. But as now they need a guy who has to be an undercover FBI agent (!) for some reason I forgot, they recruit him again and dress him up with FBI uniform. But he is so terribly inept that nobody realizes his true identity; instead, they think he is a first-rate investigator who has his own method of cracking a case.
The premise is funny, and it kind of worked in such films like "Blue Streak," but in "Romano" Chris Kattan is reduced to very limited capacity of making laughs: worst kind of slapsticks -- he is always wiggling his arms, screaming and sniveling, for more than 1 hour. If this is not a film about Shakespeare, it doesn't mean that the film needs no character or reasonable situations because the movie is, unlike sketches of TV program, a piece of work through which audience must sit in the dark. But if you get a DVD, then it's alright. Just stop whereever you want. Even though the gags are all unimaginative and too predictable.
If this film stopped there ... but the film commits a great crime in casting veterans like Peter Falk and Richard Roundtree, whose names should be much more respected here. Falk, fondly remembered as Columbo, plays the boss of the mob, but isn't allowed to do nothing; and the hero of 70s blaxploitation films Roundtree is made to praise Romano character every time he commits stupidity (like his brandishing a firing machine-gun in a crime scene) so that great Shaft looks like a real fool. This is atrocious.
Again I say, "Corky Romano" is, like "A Night at the Roxbury," for those who love Chris Kattan. If you're not one of them, stay away.
21 Worthless
I don't know who the other reviewers are, and although they are entitled to their opinion (perhaps they were all under the age of 16),this movie is almost a complete waste of time. Peter Falk must be short on cash, for I can't imagine why a distinuished actor like him would involve himself in a clunker like this one. The characters are completely void of any depth or interest, the adolescent references to farting and burping got old in the first five minutes, the stereotypes are trite and unimaginative, and the story line is, of course, as trite and ridicululous as the rest of the movie. The acting is uneven, the editing is horrible, and even the sound was bad. The one and only redeeming feature of this film is, of course, Chris Kattan. Like Robin Williams of a generation ago, he can make almost any scene funny with his facial expressions and body language, and he was worth the 99 cents we paid for the DVD rental. If anyone else, including maybe even Robin Williams, would have played Corky, this would have been THE WORST film of the year. As it is, it is only one of the worst.
22 Corky Romano=Nonstop laughing
This is the only Chris Kattan movie I've seen so far, and I had alot trouble trying not to laugh. It's a story about a family called the Romanos who also happened to be the mob. The FBI has everyone on file:
-"Pops" Romano, Father and the leader
-Paulie Romano, oldest son, good with a knife, and he can't read.
-Peter Romano, youngest son, the muscle in the family, and homosexual
-Leo Carrigan, Pop's right hand man.
The FBI has everthing they need to send the Romanos in the slammer but when Pops all have sudden gets sick, the FBI has to wait until he gets better. The only way for the mob to get out of this mess is send somebody to pose as an FBI agent to get rid of the evidence that the FBI holds. The only guy they have in mind is a family member who the FBI doesn't have on file, the family who really is Pop's youngest kid, the family member who didn't even know his family was the mob. And that guy is Corky Romano. But the only problem is, is that Corky happens to be a dork, there are times when he even acts like a kid, he never stands up for himself. As Corky goes undercover as an FBI agent, he somehow accidently does stuff that makes him the #1 FBI guy. He is being so famous in the FBI that he cannot seem to get enough time to steal the evidence against his family. You"ll through all zany messes Corky goes through and what happens in the outcomes of these messes. The movie is a little stupid but still good. Get it.
23 Corky is Chris Kattan's finest hour!
A hilarious , stupid , silly and sometimes gross comedy starring SNL star Chris Kattan. He is a member of a family full of mobsters , but he is an Assistant Veternarian. The family makes him go undercover as an F.B.I agent because The F.B.I is sending people undercover as mobsters too. If you like silly comedies with Chris Kattan , buy this immediatley! Starring: Chris Kattan , Vinessa Shaw , Peter Falk , Peter Berg , Chris Penn ,
Mathew Glave , Vincent Pastore , Richard Roundtree and Fred Ward....
24 Quirky
Led by SNL funnyman Chris Kattan, Corky Romano is a hilarious movie that surpassed all expectations that I levied to it. I did not have much hope for it since lately, whenever an SNL star goes off and does something on their own, it seems to be a total a complete failure that just humiliates themselves and the show to a maximum.
Well, Chris Kattan does a great job here. He's fresh and quirky. There are not many people in Hollywood that can pull of humor like this, and Kattan does a brilliant job.
The movie has a strong script with a strong supporting cast. I didn't much care for Peter Falk's character, but everyone else was very well played. There were many one-liners that caught you off guard.
I don't give it five stars because the film did take a long time to get going and at the end it kind of dropped off. But, besides that, Corky Romano is one of the year's most surprising movies. 4 Stars
25 One of the funniest movies all year!
It's rare now a days to find a movie that's actually funny and not offensive. Corky Romono is definately a one of a kind, not only is it so funny you'll fall on the floor, but it's a movie one could watch with their mother, father or kids. Looking for an escape from reality for a couple of hours? Well watching this movie you'll be too busy laughing to even think about the outside world and it's problems! Chris Kattan is absolutely brilliant in his "odd one out" role of Corky the Vetrinarian turned FBI imposter! The entire cast sparkles with the funniest chemistry in a long time! I just can't say enough good things about this movie! I've seen it quite a few times already and made quite a few people watch it, and every single one, even the most cynical of people found it to be the funniest movied they had seen in a long time!
26 Great movie & DVD, lousy extras...
I must say you will either love or hate this movie. When I buy a DVD, I'm looking for a worthy movie, great picture and sound quality, and a bunch of extras.
The movie itself is very silly which translates to entertaining in my book. Those who do not like SNL skits or are looking for some serious comedy may find this movie not to their liking. If awkward situations and crude humour are to your tastes, this will fit the bill.
The picture on this DVD is wonderful. The picture is very crisp and will make those who have digital TVs appreciate their purchase. Sound quality is also top-notch.
Here's the downside: extras. DVDs have become synonymous with extras. This one disappoints. Go to deleted scenes. You will find two extended scenes that were cut short... and for good reason! I found myself feeling a little jilted by the lack of extras on this disc. It's for pure movie-watching only.
Overall, I loved the movie and would recommend it to any fan of slapstick comedy. The DVD looks and sounds great, but it will leave you searching in vain for the "DVD goodies". They weren't included.
27 FUNNY SLAPSTICK COMEDY WITH FUNNY MOMENTS & TWISTS
Corky Romano is a friendly but very clumsy assistant vetenarian, as his father and two brothers a mobsters and need someone to go undercover as a FBI agent to steal evidence to keep his father out of prison, so they pick Corky as no one will suspect him of being part of the Romano family.
With his FBI resume being so good as it says he can speak in different languages, a black belt, bravery awards, any way you get the hint.Everyone looks up to him to be a super agent.Corky knowing nothing at all manages to get everything write. This so called super agent who is named agent "Pissant" brings down some of the toughest gangs and Drug dealers and the way he does it is Hilarious.
It is all fun and laughs in this movie with some familiar actors, Chris Kattan (TV's SNL, Any Given Sunday), Vinessa Shaw (TV's Chicago Hope, Cop Land), Chris penn (Rush Hour, True Romance, Reservoir Dogs) & Fred Ward (Joe Dirt, Road Trip).
The movie will remind you of Blue Streak, but dont get me wrong its not like a rip off of it.From the Produces of "Big Daddy" & "The Waterboy" brings a Comedy that delivers and is a must see, although i suggest hire before buy, but either way you shouldnt be dissapionted.
28 Corky ROCKS!
Corky Romano was easily the funniest movie I have ever seen in my life. If you love Chris Kattan you will not be disappointed. It's absolutely hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard since Billy Madison!
29 Ehhh...
I am a giant fan of "Saturday Night Live" and admittidly a fan of A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY and SUPERSTER, heck, even THE LADIES MAN. I like Chris Kattan. I thought he was great in MONKEYBONE. But his latest movie goes a bit too far. Yes, it does have it's funny moments, but ultimatly falls flat. I laughed, actually, I laughed a lot. But I wondered why I was laughing and sometimes felt bad. There are a lot of missed oppurtunities and way too much slapstick. Kattan does comedy (and physical comedy) well, but in CORKY ROMANO, his routine is dry and shctick way over the top. C-
30 the best movie ever
chris kattan is hilarious are serg. pissant, i didnt stop laughing through the whole movie! at the end i was in tears from laughing so hard! when i walked out of the thearter, my side ached- this is definatly the best movie ever made- and i would recommend it to anybody who wants a great laugh!!!!
31 Best Movie Ever
This movie was great. I saw it at least 8 times and would see it again if it were still in theatres! I can't wait for it to come out on VHS/DVD!
32 GREAT just great
kattan was great in night at the roxbury and saterday night live
but this has to be his best movie ever you will die laughing
33 Corky is the best
Corky Romano I think is definetly one of the best movies ever made. It is filled with non-stop laughing and it makes you want to go back and see it a hundred more times.
Its about a guy named Corky Romano (played by Chris Kattan) who is a guy trying to become a vet. He is called in to help save his father (played by Peter Faulk) He must go in and pretend to be an FBI agent and get evidence to help out.
However, that will not be so easy. He falls in love with a fellow agent and there are many more things that just get in the way but also make the movie better. However, I can't say anything because i dont want to ruin the rest of the movie (just see for yourselves)
I think that everyone should see this movie because it keeps you laughing all the way through. Once you see it, your gonna wanna see it 100 more times. One of the best movies of the year with a great cast. Chris Kattan rocks!!!!
34 Pure Corn
This movie is pure cornball. It's one of those movies that is almost so bad that it is good. This movie is all about the situations that Corky Romano gets placed into based on his own aspirations and his "family's" needs. A man has to do what a man has to do. It's dumb but very funny as Corky's evolution into greater things or maybe not-so-greater things go into motion. I enjoyed it but you really have to see it to buy into it.
35 Okay for a bargain matinee
This movie has its funny parts, but sometimes it's a bit too corny. The Corky character has its moments, as he tried to make good in the mob family he's been estranged from. Also, it's good to see Peter Falk is still working. And the ending is actually pretty good, as Corky succeeds in getting the goods on his father away from the Feds and is reunited with his now adoring family. Go see it at a bargain matinee.
36 The laugh of your life
Corky Romano is a great laugh out loud movie. There ins't a moment whrn the fun stops.
37 Hilarious! Chris Kattan Shines!
Corky Romano has got to be one of the most hilarious comedies to be released lately that doesn't use gross out humour to get the jokes across. Corky is the black sheep in a family of mob-like people. He's been shied away from his family and lives a too happy life as an assistant veterinarian. His life dream? To become THE veterinarian. When his family enlists him to go under cover as an FBI agent, Corky resists but has no other choice to take the position. And this results in some very wacky chaos and antics.
This IS Chris Kattan's movie. He was hilarious, and almost all of his jokes came across as funny. The guy can pull stuff off very well. A simple face reaction could make you laugh from him. The supporting cast are all great. Vinessa Shaw is very stunning and as Pops was full of great one-liners.
The story was well put together, and of course with this being a comedy, not all that happened in the movie would happen in real life. But still, hilarious ensues and comedy is there in a plenty. You do actually have to be in the mood for the comedy though, or you'll just stare dullfully at the screen. If you don't like it, you'll actually hate it for it's humour. But everyone I've talked to who's seen it has liked it because of that.
Corky Romano is a hilarious gem, and should bring Chris Kattan into a whole new perspective.

43 Corky Romano
I think that the movie is the best. Chris gets two thumbs up from me. In this movie Chris Kattan plays Corky Romano. Corky is a vet that gets a call from pops(Peter Falk), an underwold crime lord who has been indicted by a Grand Jury. The evidence against pops is Corky, who is vanished from the "family" for not fitting in. Corky's brothers intimidate a computer hacker into creating a fake resume to get Corky in the FBI. I won't tell you anymore of the movie. See it in theaters on October 12, 2001. The movie is rated PG-13 for drug and sex-related humor and for language.
