The 47-watt (RMS) system features an elegant, stand-alone decoder box with 2 digital inputs and 1 analog input alongside a host of intuitive features such as automatic surround-format detection and individual output channel level adjustments. This makes it ideal for Xbox gaming, or for experiencing DVDs in enveloping, 5.1-channel surround (front left/right, center, rear left/right, and subwoofer). In addition, any stereo input--including those from Sony PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube video games--can be rendered in 5.1 using Dolby Pro Logic II.
Matched to this decoder is the powered 5.1 speaker system with timbre-matched satellite speakers and a powerful wood-enclosure subwoofer for explosive, high-impact action sequences. The GD580 also features dual headphone jacks for private listening with a gaming or video partner. The supplied wireless remote control lets you adjust your system with ease.
What's in the Box
Three front speakers with attached 6.5-foot (2 meter) cables, 2 rear speakers with attached 13-foot (4 meter) cables, 1 subwoofer, 1 decoder box, 1 wireless remote control (batteries included), 1 removable center speaker stand with screw, 5 removable speaker grilles, interconnect cables (optical and coaxial digital audio, stereo analog audio, RCA-mono input, and an audio cable to connect the decoder and subwoofer), DIN-to-DIN (6-pin) power cable to connect decoder and subwoofer, a power supply adapter, a quick-start leaflet, and a warranty and technical support booklet.
