I purchased this little guy about 3 weeks ago - I got it for $ after rebate, + $ for a 128MB Smartmedia card. For the total price, this can't be beat.
It's basic - no song title information, setting up playlists, etc. But it holds about 40 songs, has really good sound (4 preset settings - stick to Rock or Jazz), and best of all is the size of a beeper and weighs 2 ounces. I live in NYC and travel the subway every day - this player is so small that I can put it anywhere (shirt pocket, around my neck, etc.) and not feel it. Great for joggers, etc.
This thing is LOUD, and gets about 12-15 hours on 1 AA battery. The software is very simple - just drag and drop MP3's onto the player using UBS cable - downloads are pretty fast. It has basic features (FF/Rewind/Pause) and has a hold button so it won't get turned on by itself.
Downsides? Won't play VBR files. No belt clip (although it comes with a cute felt sack that I use for my electric razor). That's about it. For value you can't beat this player.
You are a taxi driver. Your cab is yellow and black, and has been in
use for only seven years. One of its windshield wipers is broken, and
the carburetor needs adjusting. The tank holds 20 gallons, but at the
moment is only three-quarters full. How old is the taxi driver?"
The final delusion is the belief that one has lost all delusions.
