Built to run with the fastest video, publishing, and database network applications, the EtherFast LAN Card is a high performance network adapter for 32-bit PCI local bus computers. The 1/19/98 issue of Computer Retail Week said this "easy-to-install" card comes with an impressive diagnostic software suite, and includes documentation that is "truly inspired." Boasting an incredible maximum data throughput of 132 megabits per second, it includes a combo, auto-detecting 10BaseT/100BaseTX port, which means that you can begin using the EtherFast now - even if you don't plan on upgrading to a 100Mbps network right away. The Linksys EtherFast 10/100 LAN Card is now fully manageable - use the Wake-On-LAN feature to boot up PCs from anywhere on the network. Fully software configurable and Plug-and-Play compliant, the EtherFast installs in minutes. 32-bit multimaster concurrency technology lets it communicate directly with your PC's CPU, bypassing sluggish interrupts and I/O channels. The EtherFast is available in single, five, and economical 10 packs, making it the perfect choice for rapidly expanding networks. And each one comes with built-in support for the widest range of PCI motherboards, networking hardware, and software - which means you don't have to worry about compatibility. If your mission critical applications require blinding network speed, the EtherFast LAN Card is the best value for your networking dollar.
1 THE BEST CARD EVER!!
When I first saw this card being sold for 9999 dollars, I thought to myself "wow, i'd never even think about spending that much money on a network card", but after much consideration (and talking with the wife ofcourse) I realized that this is the card for me. I bought it and its great. A+ quality. Never have I had a network card so incredible that it transfers at blazing speeds of 10Mbps, or a whopping 100!!! This card is indeed a great buy.
