Fujifilm FinePix 1300 1.2MP Digital Camera

Compras Nikon
Bluetooth
Compare a scooter to a motorcycle. The scooter is a fraction of the size, power, and price, but around town, the scooter is as quick and fun as the motorcycle, and you can even take it some places the motorcycle won't go. The Fuji 1300 is the digital camera equivalent of a scooter--inexpensive and lower tech than some digital cameras, but really quick, easy, and fun to operate. And for the average camera user it will produce pictures very nearly as good as those from a substantially more expensive camera.

The 1300 is a revised version of Fuji's well-loved but short-lived MX-1200 camera. For the 1300, Fuji redesigned the case to make it (slightly) more stylish and replaced the serial transfer plug with a much faster USB connection. Otherwise, the camera remains essentially the same as its predecessor.

Compared to virtually every digital camera on the market (and especially its 1-megapixel peers), this camera is a speed demon. If you don't need to use the flash, you can turn the camera on and take your first shot in under a second. There's virtually no shutter lag (the shutter clicks a split second after you press the button), and the camera is ready to take another shot in less than 5 seconds. Though some cameras' LCD screens are slow, streaky, or choppy, the Fuji has a fast, smooth display.

Technophobes have little to fear: this Fuji is as easy to operate as a point-and-shoot film camera, automatically setting shutter speed and white balance and activating the flash, if necessary. Users looking for more creative control can adjust the exposure compensation, white balance, flash, and other settings manually. The camera also has a macro mode and a self-timer.

Cons:
1 Batterys last forever
i read someones review saying that this cammera drainded batteries, not at all i survived 2 weeks with 1 set of batteries, mabey the person never turned the cammera off, when in natural light you cant tell weather the cammera is on or off unless you have the display on beacuse the green on light fades and is hard to see.

3 Only get it if you want to haul around extra batteries!!!
This is NOT a very good camera for the price. If you leave the batteries in the camera, they are drained in a day. I finally figured out that the best way to go about it was to keep a separate bag with the batteries in it and put them in the camera before I use it. This is very annoying because then it wants you to re-set the time when you start it back up again. Not good for close-ups or low light. (I tried to use it to photograph my jewelry but got poor results.) Also, it does not have a zooming lens. For everyday shots of my family and friends outdoors or indoor with a flash, this is an OK camera. Still, I have found that you can get a much better product at a comparable price in the 35mm format, which you can now get "developed" and put on disc at most major film development outlets. And for only $50 - $100 more you can get a good quality digital Canon, Nikon, or Olympus that zooms and they might not have the battery problems.
4 Terrific camera for everyone
this is such a great camera, I got it for my birthday and it has worked perfectly. it takes wonderful pictures, and can take a few fallls, the one bad thing is it cant zoom, it only can switch modes (close up and distance shots) but it works great and is realy easy to use. Its just a great camera.
5 fuji - it does what it says and more
This is an excellent beginner digital camera - I used it for one year and loved it to death. It is simple to use - gives great clear results, and doesn't blow the bank. I am only selling mine now because I've upgraded to the fuji f601Z!
6 A great digital snapshooter !
This camera is just great !

It's very easy to understand and use the controls. Inserting media and retreving it is also easy.

Image quality straight out of the camera without tweeking is great and people that don't use Photoshop or don't know how end up getting great pictures hassle free.

Battery consumption is very good and while we've had the camera for over a month and picture taking averaging 4 to 5 pictures a day, it's still working fine with the original set of alkalines we bought.

I bought this camera as a gift for my 18 year old son and now he carries it everywhere, he loves it!

7 Excellent Beginner Camera!!!
After my mom bought me a Sipix camera (terrible device), I went on a search for an affordable, quality camera. After reading several reviews from different sites, I decided to purchase this camera. It has been absolutely great and didn't cost an arm and a leg like the others. Highly recommend this camera for beginners
8 My first and the best
After a going thru a lot of reviews I finally brought Fuji finepix 1300. The camera is very tiny and can be carried very easily. This is the best camera for the beginners with little knowledge about digital cameras. Compared to other digital cameras coping the images to the computer is made easy through USB. If you are using a XP operating system the computer automatically detects the camera. The camera comes with a 8MB smart media card (Not enough if you take picturs at high resloution --16 photos). The camera is compatible upto 128MB smart media (around 200 pictures)

I am using this camera for the past one year. I have tested in all conditions and it worked great. Its a point and shoot camera and comes handy when you are on vecations. Need to have spare chargable baterries at all times. I will give a A+ to this camera at 1.3 megapixel category.

9 Terrific compact & lightweight camera
The Fuji FinePix is really a great digital camera. It is a great starter camera, if you are just moving up from 35mm camera's. It has many cool features that will customize your shots. It is also fairly easy to use. Works well with Windows.
10 A piece of rubbish
I bought this camera on 9/21 and already the viewer through the LCD screen is broken.
Can I take pics? Yes. I just can't view them on the screen before I take them anymore.
Not that I really want to keep any of these pics. I know it's a cheap camera but the amount of white flecks on the jpgs I do get is ridiculous. No matter how still I am, they are almost always grainy and blurry.
The only way I can clear them is by shrinking them five times smaller and working the levels in photoshop.

Honnestly, this is the most regretable purchase that I ever made.

11 Good pictures, bad build Quality
Takes good pictures, but the build quality is awful. I have owned this camera one year and it is falling apart. I have been pretty careful with it as well. It has a tempremental problem of powering off when it wants to or not switching on. I have heard similiar from other owners.
It does take pretty good pictures, especially in low light, but the build quality has put me off fujifilm for good.
12 Great value! Awesome camera
This camera is worth every penny! The price is VERY right for this high quality camera.

The build quality of it is above average, though the hinges of the smart media door have some wiggle room, its not alot (less than a millimeter). Overall, its got a hefty solid feeling to it.

The veiwfinder is very hard to use for people with glasses though.

battery life is average from what you'd expect from a digicam.

Image quality is pretty good, not great...Great camera for the money, if you're looking for a simple point and shoot camera to easily store all your memories, THIS IS IT!

This was taken using the macro mode (closeup pictures) at the max resolution and detail.

Great camera for the money, if you're looking for a simple point and shoot camera to easily store all your memories, THIS IS IT!

14 very good camera
I bought this camera about 8 month ago and I really still like it a lot. It's a really good camera for a good price. The quality of the pics is really. The only thing I don't like is that you have to change batteries a lot because the batteries are used up pretty fast.
15 Fuji takes finepix
This is a great product. I got it for christmas and love it. It takes wonderful pictures. Even though it is supposed to clear out the red eyes it doesnt to well. But i still love the camera
16 Great bang for your buck
The FujiFinePix 1300 really is a great bang for your buck. It has great picture clarity, very easy to use, very quick to download pictures with usb connection, and the software that comes with it is a snap - if I can do it, anybody can do it! Highly recommend getting 2 sets of rechargable batteries. I like to keep my setting on fine and that seems to use up more juice, as does using the LCD monitor (hint: if you use the eyepiece to take the picture instead of turning on LCD monitor to take the picture with it uses less battery juice) I have been thouroughly satisfied with this camera so far (it's still new to me). Wish it came with a camera bag, .... If you are someone like me that always wants to take pictures but never remembered to bring the camera (didn't have a great camera to begin with) this is a great inexpensive investment. Takes up to 64mb smart media card and came with an 8mb sm card. I've seen the 64mb cards for as low as $19.99 (shop around). Recommend having a few of these too - The higher quality image you want the more juice it uses on memory cards. I didn't shop around much before I bought but have been telling everyone to get it. Remember it's a high end beginner level - great starter camera.
17 ...a very useful camera!
I bought two Fuji FinePix A101 a few days ago, and I have to say it is a good camera. It is accessible (cheap) and easy to use, one big advantage is that downloads pictures really fast.
Maybe is not an impressive camera, but it is very useful.
18 Great little no-hassle camera.
The FinePix 1300 offers good image quality and enough features to satisfy most casual photographers. The camera's size is convenient for carrying along on the spur of the moment. It's fairly easy on the rechargeable NIMH batteries I use with it. The flash works well. The camera's menu system is simple enough for almost anyone to grasp. The built-in LCD isn't huge, but it does a good job of viewfinding, reviewing photos, and displaying menus. Buy a larger SmartMedia card and you can store tons of photos before you need to download them to the computer. 32MB and 64MB SmartMedia cards are quite reasonably priced right now. Photos are stored as JPEG files, so it isn't even necessary to use the software that comes with the camera. I insert my SmartMedia card into a Zio SmartMedia reader and transfer photos directly from the card, or even open them in Photoshop without trasferring them first. It works great on both Macs and PCs, and saves battery power since you don't have to power up the camera to do a transfer.

The only features I might add are an optical zoom and a better macro mode (for very close shots). Great little camera.

19 Ok Beginner Camera
This camera is easy to use and to take pictures BUT I think it would have been better if it had a lens cover!! The camera does not come with a camera case and there is really no place to get one that truly fits this camera. Since the back screen and front lens are exposed it poses the danger of getting scratched or banged up.

I also found that this camera uses up batteries quite quickly althought some of the reviews I've read in the PC Magazines said that this camera lasted a long time...weird.

Overall the pictures are quite clear and the colors are good but I think I would have paid a little more for a tad more features.

20 Fuiji FinePix 1300 1.3MP digital camera
I have had this camera since July and I love it. It is easy to use. It has clear instructions. The battery life was short, but it was the batteries that came in the camera. I don't know if the new ones will have a short life, less than 50 pictures.
21 Great camera!
Easy to use, good documentation, small & practical design. Great deal for a 1.3 megapixel camera. Excellent for beginners.
Only downside I found: batteries run out fast!
22 Got what I want.
I took me several days to figure out how to get the best result. But once I knew the tricks, I got crispy pictures both on the sunny beach and in the dark room! I love it.

White dots may appear in the pictures when the dusts land on the lens. That's annoying. Well, bear with it. I got what I want at such a price.

23 ghyhhdggg
i dotn actually have the camera, i have a really bad one...but one of my best friends has this one and im gonna get it pretty soon, i liek it alot. its really nice.
24 Great Camera
This is a great snap and shoot camera. I broke my Nikon Coolpix 770 and didn't have the money to replace that camera. This is a much friendlier camera to use and tooks almost as good of pictures. This is a great starter camera and by no means am I a novice. Great Buy!!
25 Great!
I got the Fuji Finepix 1300 for my birthday and boy is it a great camera. The usb connection is speedy, the pictures are pretty clear (sometimes blurry because of shaky hands), and the price is right. The LCD screen is very clear and responsive. The only thing I dont like about this camera is that it does not have a lens cover, so be very careful. Its recommended that you get some good rechargable batteries.
26 Easy, Good, Cheap
I shopped around for digital cameras for a month before deciding on the Fuji 1300. Its low price makes it a fantastic first digital camera, and photo quality is excellent.
I bought the camera a few days before heading off to France on vacation, and was up to speed on the camera's features within the first day.
Installing the program onto your computer is a bit of a beeyach, but only took me a few minutes. I've never had any problems since installation.
My biggest recommendation? Get two sets of rechargable AA batteries--like most digitals, the 1300 eats batteries.
27 GREAT first digital camera
This camera is alot like Apple computers, easy to use for a beginner, alot of options for more experienced people, and most of all great quality for price. i bought this camera mostly, because of the price, right before a vacation hoping it would work out ok. It turned out great.

First off this camera is a great start for people not accustomed to digital cameras. This camera is incedibly easy to use, novices can just use it as a point and click camera, with the camera automatically setting if flash is needed, and other more complicated details, which a more experienced person can set manually. You can take two different sizes of pictures, one normal and one smaller for use on the internet. The camera has 3 quality levels, but to tell the truth the normal is almost just as good as the fine level.

I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about but i had no problem loading the pictures. All the hookups are included, and it works on PC and Mac.

The only complaint is the lack of a zoom. On the smaller sized pictues you have a 2x zoom, but that's it.

But overall this is a great, high-quality camera for the price, you can get 2-32 megabyte memory cards with it and still be under the price of many other cameras. This is a great purchase, save you money in the first year, never buy film again.

28 A Little Ripper
The easy to use intuitive controls which allow total flexibility in how you set up your shots, whilst also having auto functions if you haven't the time are just fabulous. I am impressed with its weight (it's featherweight and palm sized) the range of different settings for the flash, & the easy to use zooms. The speed with which it takes a shot and is ready for the next, the continuous shooting (sequence for web animation) and the impressive battery usage (+ 250 shots, 50% with flash, on one set of 4AA) and the ability to use rechargable batteries makes it an absolutely brilliant camera. A great optional accessory is the floppy disk adaptor for the flash card, if travelling it's a must - allowing you to upload pictures to the web from any floppy drive wherever in the world you may be. I highly recommend this camera!
29 Amazingly capable and a best kept secret for value
I was introduced to this camera when a friend sent me some stunning day and night photos taken in and around Kuwait City (one of the cleanest and most beautiful cities in the world). I thought he had taken the shots with a 35 MM and scanned in the prints. I was shocked when I found out that not only were the pictures taken with a digital camera, but with what is considered a low-end digital.

Here are some strong points: the camera does a wonderful job of night shots without added equipment. It is literally point and shoot, with both an LCD display and optical viewfinder. It uses high-speed USB, which is a significant improvement over serial connections for uploading photos into your PC. Also it's small. It fits easily in a man's jacket pocket or woman's purse (well, not my purse because I happen to carry three cell phones, a pager and a Palm VIIx - a girl needs her toys).

The software with which it ships is, well, not so good. I use Paintshop Pro version 7.0, which will directly download the photos and allow me to perform corrective action. If you get this camera get Paintshop Pro 7 too!

All controls are intuitive and easy to use. It will also take close-ups well if you set up the shots properly. I have a highly detailed photo taken with this camera of an intricate 1/4" object that was taken 8 inches away. Every detailed came out in high contrast and high resolution. However, to achieve this I had to use a mini tripod to absolutely steady the camera and play with lighting (at 8" the camera and photographer cast shadows that need to be compensated for with strategically placed lighting).

Some people may view this as an entry level camera, especially with all of the mega pixel models out there. However, I am completely satisfied with the quality of the photos, which print beautifully on my Epson 770 printer using glossy photo paper. If you are a professional who is looking for a bridge between film and digital, perhaps this one is not for you. If, however, you want a decent digital camera that can take low resolution shots for e-mail and web pages, or high resolution shots for printing and keeping, this might be all the camera you need. I doubt if I'll outgrow it anytime soon. 5 stars for ease of use, gorgeous photos and value pricing.

30 Great starter camera
I did not have any problems loading the software like some of the people who posted reviews here. As soon as I plug the camera into the usb port the Fuji software automatically downloads the pictures to their viewer software. The pictures are very good quality. On a epson 870 photo printer the results are excellent for a 4X6 print (I have not tried to print anything bigger). It is not a replacement for a 35mm camera with a zoom. I still use my Canon Sureshot 135 camera if I am shooting alot of pictures, like when I go on vacation, but if I only want to get some quick snapshots (which is most of the time) this is the camera I use. I can only get 10 pictures on the 8meg smartmedia card at the highest quality setting. I will probably get a 32meg or 64 meg card soon.
31 Bad Software
I purchased the Fuji Fine Pix 1300 a couple of weeks ago. I have an AGFA 780 which works fine. The Fuji camera took great pictures. However, when I went to download the software, I kept getting an error message. I was not able to sucessfully load the software. I notice several other people are having the same problem. My computer is a Compaq 750 mhz with Windows 98. If I can get the software to work properly the camera would be great.
32 SmartMedia was missing, technical support blew me off.
This probably would have been a great camera if I'd been able to use it. If you're interested in how well some of its features work, the other reviews will probably be more helpful. However, if you want to know what to expect from Fuji technical support (which is an often overlooked feature of a product), I can tell you: Absolutely nothing.

The camera I got was missing the SmartMedia card needed to store the pictures you take. When I called Fuji's technical support and navigated through a labyrinthine phone-menu system, I was told ... was apparently not an "authorized dealer" or some stupid thing, and I would have to return the item. They refused to simply ship me a replacement SmartMedia, instead forcing ME to go through the hassle of returning an item because of THEIR mistake.

Are there any COMPETENT digital camera manufacturers out there? This is the second camera I have bought in the past 6 months that I've ended up returning because it either didn't have the features it claimed, or was missing parts. In both cases the technical support was utterly useless. I don't think I'll ever purchase another digital camera again.

33 Great camera-terrible software and tech service
I did a lot of research to determine what camera I wanted to start with. This is my first digital camera. I purchased the Fuji because I wanted an easy to use, simple, starter digital camera for a reasonalbe price. The camera itself is great. Very simple to figure out and use. THEN-I loaded the USB and editing software into my WIN98, pentium 2 Dell computer. Everytime I connected the USB cable to the camera to download images, my computer gave me fatal exception errors and crashed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times and went to Fuji website and downloaded the software from them. Still, same results. I contacted Dell, in case something was wrong with my computer, they said I needed to talk with the camera manufacturer. I tried to email Fuji tech service through their web site, it gave me a message "no host found". Well, after days of this, I am fed up. No starter camera is worth this. I'm am returning this camera and going with a Kodak.
34 Great, if you're into beginning digital.
This camera is...convenient. I was first introduced to digital by an acquaintance who was shooting after the film ran out of my own camera. He said the shots "aren't the best," but they're quick to send via the Internet, etc., in other words, a brief recommendation.

I'm not sure, though, how much I'm "into" digital photography. There are more wires off the back of my computer than there are mens rooms on the Pentagon, and many of them are attached to devices I could probably do without (including an MP3 player the software for which I can't even figure out!) Then, the memory card or whatever you call it on this camera is NOT cheap. And the memory card that it comes with, yeah, it's convenient (again), i.e., if you need to take a picture, you can delete one that's already on it, and take another one. But there's not that much room on it.

But if you're into anything fancy, forget it, this camera doesn't give you that many options.

Oh, and I tend to agree with an earlier reviewer about the software too--to reiterate what I'd stated on the MP3 thing above: it's not the easiest to figure out.

Overall, yeah, get it if you want to try it out. But remember that the software takes up more of your hard drive, you can't do that much with it, and, oh, well, read all of this again.

35 Great camera, great features, great for newbie
This is my first digital camera and I am extremely proficient with computers and the Internet, even so I was amazed at all the things that this camera can do. You can go from just taking it out of the box to taking really great pictures and it's fairly fool proof. It does use quite a lot of batteries and I will need to buy a larger SmartMedia card, especially since we go on a lot of trips. That said, I couldn't be happier with it, it is possibly the best present anyone has ever given me! And the software is just amazing, it has great possibilities that I am just now beginning to discover!
36 Good for P&S but noisy in low-light
I've had this camera for a while and taken it on several trips. My APS P&S camera has been gathering dust ever since. The FinePix is very easy to use. It responds quickly upon power-up, so you can leave it off between shots, which makes batteries last a long time. Downloading pictures to Win98 over the USB interface couldn't be easier; you just drag and drop. Picture quality is decent at the maximum resolution in "fine" mode, but poor at the default "normal" compression mode. (I wish more digicams would offer uncompressed output modes!) Get additional memory; I have found that 64MB is enough. At the high-resolution mode picture preview and time between shots is a little sluggish. The LCD preview has a nice high frame rate but is slow to respond to its on-off switch.

On the con side, the biggest problem I have with this camera is its poor performance in low light conditions. Even fairly bright overcast conditions sometimes result in shutter speeds that preclude handheld use without blurring. Even with a steady camera, shadows and darker areas in medium-to-low light conditions show a lot of digital noise.

The macro mode is frustrating to use because it's fixed-focus. I wonder why this feature made the cut.

The color balance is on the saturated side, though you can adjust the color balance in manual mode. In general, skin tones are a bit reddish for my tastes, but nothing that Photoshop can't fix.

And lastly, there's no lens cap. Although I have yet to scratch the protective cover over the lens, I'm afraid to, so I always carry this camera in a bulky bag which makes it less convenient.

Overall, I'm very happy with this camera which got me into digital photography with a minimum of expense and fuss. I have taken some very nice pictures with it and when I show friends 4x6 prints from it almost nobody can tell it from film. But for available-light photography I stick with my 35mm SLR.

37 So far, so good, on both Mac and PC
I got the camera today and proceeded to try it out both at work and at home. I had no problems whatsoever setting up the drivers and software either on my iMac at work or on my Win98 machine at home. The camera's really easy to use, the only possible drawback is that all the menu items appear as tiny little icons on the LCD screen - perhaps not a good choice for those with bad eyesight. We've been taking pictures all night, and everything seems to be working out fine. Obviously, I haven't tested it in all possible conditions, and I know that battery life will be an issue. I did a lot of shopping around, and this really did seem like the best bang for the buck. ...I'd definitely recommend looking around on the web, taking your time, reading reviews, and deciding what you'd like out of a digital camera. If, however, you're a novice user, would like something that's easy to set up and equally easy to use, I'd definitely recommend the Finepix 1300. The USB interface is quite speedy, it's lightweight and portable, and picture quality is pretty good. I'd think about purchasing some rechargable batteries, a carrying case (there's no lens cap), and perhaps a wall adapter (especially if you'll be using it for Ebay or something like that). Anice beginner's digital camera, with a lot of good deals out there if you look around.
38 Finepix in the Classroom
I bought the camera to take pictures of students in my high school classes for an end of the year slide show. I did some research and did not find any cameras that matched this one for the price (USB interface, LCD, 8 MB smartmedia card along with a 16 MB bonus disk upon purchase). I had some difficulty getting everything set up. I had to buy a Scandisk to download pictures into Windows NT, for example. Once I got it all figured out, however, it was an extremely simple camera to operate, and the pictures are extremely high quality. It will chew through batteries, but only if you use the LCD panel extensively. I use it sparingly, preferring to take pictures the old fashioned way: through the viewfinder. My LCD went out just this last week and it is currently being repaired (under warranty). The problem with the LCD is that you can't program the camera or change settings without it. I also worry a little about the camera's durability.
39 Fuji FinePix 1300 Digital Camera
This is the first digital camera that I have ever owned. Within minutes of opening the box I was already taking pictures. The software was also easy to install and use. The only con that I have found is that it eats batteries like crazy, however I am told that most digital cameras do the same. So I would recomend you get rechargable batteries. This is a great camera for the money.
40 This Camera is great.
If you are not sure which one to buy, I would recomend this one. The quality is really good for it's price. My first Digital Camera was a Samsung Triple in one (Digital Camera, Video Cam + MP3 Player). This was the worse camera I ever bought. The FujiFilm 1300 is easy to use and has a fine LCD screen to preview pictures. The software is easy to use and USB connection is a plus. I even bought a new one as a X-mas present to my syster. GREAT CAMERA. Alex
41 Best camera in its class
Having used some other low-end digital cameras in the past, I must say that this one is a welcome relief. Most of these other cameras have what I feel is a critical flaw - a long wait between pushing the button and when the camera actually takes a picture. Some of the other cameras can take as long as three seconds between "clicking", and when the photo is actually taken. While this doesn't sound like a big issue, I can guarantee that you'll end up with a lot of pictures of floors and ceilings with the other models - especially when someone unfamiliar with the camera pushes the button and then looks at the camera to see why nothing happened. Of course, you can erase these errors without any cost involved as the camera's digital, but there's no guarantee you can replicate the moment you were trying to capture. Thankfully, this camera eliminates this concern. The resolution of this camera is certainly adequate for web and email pictures, and would be ideal for anyone who needs to take digital pictures for online auctions like ebay. Plus, it comes at a very affordable price for people who would like to experiment with digital photography.
42 Best $200 digital camera
This is my first purchase of a digital camera although I have used both a SmartMedia and floppy disk-type digital camera. I was looking for a digital camera that was around $200 and I came up with this. I started at a great website that has reviews of most digital and non-digital cameras on the market. You can access them at www.dcresource.com. Choose a camera from the drop-down menu. They show you photographs of the camera you review from all angles (top, bottom, side, front and back) and they give you sample photos taken from that camera. They also have great reviews. I picked this camera over the Kodak and Fuji 1400 because of the features along with price. You either get 640 (Normal) or 1280 (Fine) resolution. You also get an easy-to-use timer. You also get a USB connector which is key when using this type of camera. You don't want a serial connector unless you want to sit at the computer for an hour while the photos download. The only problem I found with this camera (and knew this when I bought it because of the reviews I read) is the LCD screen. You really can't use it to take the photos because everything appears dark even in the lighter setting and the pictures have minimal quality on the playback feature. But, the rest of the camera makes up for the cheesy LCD panel. I used the viewfinder to take pictures and that worked fine. You can view the finished picture good enough on the screen to see if you want the picture or not. And, the quality of the photos is wonderful. It is worth the price. They also give you a hardcopy manual to use when figuring how to use the camera. The menus are a little confusing for a newbie but if you read the manual you can figure it out. And, to save money at Amazon.com go to Flamingoworld (www.flamingoworld.com) and look for current coupons. I saved $50 on this camera with a coupon. Enjoy!
43 NOT SO EASY
The finepix 1300 does a good job and Im satisfied with the quality of the pictures. This being my first digital camera,I found the instructions confussing.I also expirenced difficulty trying to load the software into my computer with "Windows Me".As of this review Im still unable to download Fuji's software.

The camera is a great deal for the money. This is the first digital camera I have owned, and I am very pleased. The camera takes very clear photos. There are options found on this unit that equal more expensive cameras. The software is very easy to load and understand. The only faults I found were, it eats batteries like mad, and the picture taken does not match what you see in the viewer as far as size goes. That takes some getting used to. Very pleased
