1 Bad printer
I could never get this thing to work. It has only printed a couple of pages the whole time i have owned it. Dont buy this unless you want a paper weight
2 terrible service
My wife and I wasted hours and hours trying to get HP service. HP has outsourced customer service to several developing countries, and each time we called, the representatives were unable to locate the record of our previous call. We were told time and again that we would be contacted by a "case manager" but that never happened. After weeks of trying, it became obvious that we need to discard the product (still under warrantee) and buy a new (non-HP) product ourselves.

3 Great printer but not perfect
This is a good quality printer but there's still a few problems. First, ink only lasts about 100 to 120 pages so it's not good for constant printing, and second the description says "quiet and smooth", this printer does run fairly smooth but isn' that quiet. This printer also does not come with a USB cable needed to operate this printer so you'll have to buy a USB A/B cable.

But overall I would recomend this product for home/small office use
4 A great printer for it's price
Even though it didn't include the usb cable it is a very good printer. It's b&w prints are of high quality. It prints 14ppm in b&w,which is quite fast.It just spits it out.It also is very quiet and small.Keep in mind the usb cable it needs is the Belkin Pro Series USB 2.0 Device Cable (USB A/USB B] NOT the Belkin F3U133-06 USB Device Cable
5 Good, inexpensive printer
I bought this printer in replacement of another HP Deskjet printer (I wore it out after 4 years). It is super quiet and fast! It was easy to install as well. Like most printers, it did not come with a USB cable - but it is easy to find a cable for it (2.0 or 1.1 USB Cable will work). I bought my printer at Wal-mart and it came with two cartiages (color & black). It actually cost less without the shipping/handling at Wal-mart.

The print quality appears to be very good. I recommend this printer for those looking for an inexpensive printer.
6 COMPLETE JUNK!!!!! DO NOT BUY !!!!!!
This seemed like a reasonable buy for simple printing projects.
The first problem was that my HP computer had trouble recognizing the software. Once I sorted through that problem, when it came time to print the test page, the paper jammed. After 10 attempts and 10 paper jams, I returned, exchanged, thinking I received a defective one, and the next printer did the same thing. I recommend NOT wasting your time and money on this low quality, cheaply made piece of junk.
7 Great Printer Product
I have to tell you that this little printer is totally impressive for such a low price. Only minor complaint is no USB cable, but I happen to have a spare. Minor bugs to sort out at first and one call to HP tech help and they answered the phone on the first ring everything has been really perfect. Far better than the Epson C80, more reliable fairly fast printing and the ink won't break you as I get about 300 full printed pages of word documents from a black cartridge for under $20.00 bucks in perfect form. I highly suggest this little simple HP printer big time for everyday printing, and the few color PICS I've made there not bad either. No question this was worth every cent paid hands down! I've had at least six other printers that all costs more but didn't show me the kind of product results this little machine dose, don't be fooled thinking its junk because the HP people have figured it out.
8 No USB cable
I havent even tried this printer yet so maybe its unfair to critique it but i was extremely annoyed to find that it is missing an importnat cable. I looked all over for it and finally found in small letter on the box "USB cable not provided". So now i have to buy the cable and i think that is just downright unfair.
9 lousy printer do not buy
this is very lousy printer ..its circuitery blows for no apprant reason ..inside the parts are of very poor/cheap quality and break easily leaving you no choice but ot buy a new printer as the replacment parts are so costly.
if it prints it prints well..but it doesnt last long max is six months.
10 Great for home use, but consider ink costs as well
This is an excellent printer for those who don't print a lot. It will print documents at a very reasonable speed, and wonderful photos on 4x6 tabbed paper. The hardware has proven to be pretty reliable, as this new printer is based on HP's older Deskjet 3500 series.

The software has been improved greatly over last year's products. There is now a much lower chance of problems with installation. The extra software that's included isn't too large, so this printer is good for PC's close to the minimum requirements.

If you print more than 100 pages a month, or if you have a business, I'd recommend the Deskjet 6540 instead, as the ink costs half as much. Due to the higher ink cost, the 3745 is a good choice only if you don't print a lot. Otherwise, it is an excellent printer for home use.
