1 970Cse
We use an HP 970Cse. The black and white works ok, but the color doesn't come out well in the 970Cse. So we replaced it with an Epson Stylus C84 and are much happier. Also, the HP 970Cse printed REALLY SLOOOWWWWW in color....we tried all sorts of options to no avail.
2 worry free
I originally was a little concerned after reading what a few people had written here, but for once, it wasn't bad. I ordered. After 3 days I worried so I shot off an email to them and they immediately replied with the cartridge's status, saying it would be 3 more days and sure enough. It arrived all the way from one coast to the other in fine shape. No complaints here!
3 Great Service, Cartridge Like a New One
Ordering was fast and easy. Could not detect any inferiority in the cartridges and will order them again.
4 Wonderful Ink Catridge
Ever since I got to college I have needed to print off a variety of things from papers to documents, and this Ink Catridge lasts forever. I was worried that I would run out of ink quickly, but it seems never to run out. It finally did run out and I was forced to run out and buy another one, but I went through alot of documents and papers before that finally happened. Really highly recommended.
5 Always stick with OEM
I always stick with OEM equipment for my printer/computer perhiperals. What else can I say? It's worth to get HP stuff for your HP printer because you know it will work near perfect.
6 No Mess
Have you tried one of the "Guaranteed Refil Kits". Right, just a joke. Stick with the original and you will not be dissatisfied
7 Quality of the real thing at a price
The manufacturer says to use their ink in their printer. Of course they are. Is it for a real reason, or just so they can make more money? I don't know. I go with the real thing, and haven't had any problems. Probably wouldn't have any with refills or generic brands, but the differance in price doesn't make the experiment worthwhile to me.
8 Great Cartridge. RECOMMENDED!
This Cartridge is great. I use it with my HP DeskJet 932C and it is awesome! It's NEVER smeared, it prints clear and the ink dries fast. The only problem is it runs out of ink a little too fast. Just keep an extra one around in case you run out. Otherwise it is great!

10 Gets the job done
Let's face it, how much can you really say about an ink cartridge? Using this on my HP970cxi produces very good print quality. The biggest problem I've had with the cartridges has been a tendency to dry up more quickly than they should. A couple of them have gone dry far too soon after purchase both in terms of time and the number of sheets printed. Fortunately, most of them hold up for a reasonable period of time. The bottom line is that you need ink cartridges to use your printer and this is a good cartridge even if it isn't perfect.
11 HP No. 45A InkJet Cartridge (Black, 51645A) - N!CE
This is the ink cartridge I normally buy. It prints well on my computer, and although it's just ink, and practically all other colour ink cartridges are just as good, I can't see anything wrong with this and I think it deserves five stars!!!!
12 Oops
Heh, when i bought this i wanted to buy 2 black ink cartriges. I recieved 2 color.... that was my fault, they work fine i just wanted them switched around. Dont make my mistake. happy printing
13 What can you say?
As a printer catridge it works fine and I since this is a pretty unexciting product there is little more to say other than it is reliable and works well in my printer. I give it 4 stars because I find HP cartridges to be generally overpriced and I think that generics probably offer much better value.
14 What can I say...
Reviewing a printer cartridge isn't rocket science. I've purchased many of these particular cartridge. I've never had a problem with them.
15 I only use originals!
Generic refills are cheaper, but the text isn't as vivid and the circuitry isn't as reliable! Stick to the name you trusted your printer with to begin with, HP!
16 Why I do not attempt to store inkjet cartridges
The cartridge supplied with the HP Deskjet 932C doesn't hold much ink, so when I purchased the printer 3 months ago, I bought a 2-pack of 45A -- I hate to run out of ink. I just ran out of ink in the small cartridge, and sadly found that both 45A cartridges had completely dried out. I sure wasted a lot of color ink trying to decide what was wrong! I went back to Office Depot where I purchased the printer, and was advised that I don't use enough ink to warrant buying a 2-pack because they are almost sure to dry up before I would need them. So I bought a single... and voila, the printer is back to its normal wonderful self... Yes, the cartridges that dried out were still under warranty with both the store and HewlettPackard, so I have been reimbursed.
17 Great Ink
This ink is great and lasts a long time and compared to other models, the ink isn't outrageouly priced.
18 Refill Kit from Dataproducts works
I agree with some of the reviews that the cartridges don't last very long and are expensive. I tried a refill product from Dataproducts for both b&w (51629A)and color cartridges (51649A). Both work well. I didn't trust the cover for the color refill and used the old one by attaching it with tape. Works fine so far. Hope this helps.
19 What software supports this well?
I've enjoyed my HP printer -- it uses the 51645A and the cartridge has been awesome. All I need to refine is my selection of photo editing software. Great product -- needs more ink for the dollar -- but what else is new!
20 Adequate.
This cartridge performs adequately. The ink dries quickly to a rich black. However, I wish it held more ink for the money. The black cartridges for my other printer, an aging Lexmark, last much longer.
21 A good Product - Very Reliable!
Some reviewers complained that this cartridge has a low ink supply. I suppose that may be true for someone running a very active office or home-office with very demanding print needs. However, in my Deskjet 882C (an excellent printer) used at home with moderate printing (in a home-office), these cartridges last just fine. I have been using them in my 882C since March, '99 and am only on my 4th one - 4 in 16 months is not too bad. But even more importantly, is the excellent performance: clear black text, never smudged or faded, very professional looking - on practically any paper. A good, safe, relaible product.
22 OK, But needs more ink!
This cartridge holds a nice deep black ink that makes great smudge-free print. My only gripe is the cartridge should last longer than 500 pages before I run out of ink. (sigh) If only HP made these like their test equipment.....
23 Hewlett Packard 45A Black Ink Cartridge
A great work horse! I've used 20-25 of these cartridges over the past few years, with consistently excellent results. The print is always clear, I seem to get over 500 text pages per cartrige, and unlike some earlier generation models it doesn't clog when the ink level runs low.
24 Does the job well
I've had the HP DeskJet 722C for over a year now. I have been happy with the performance of the black inkjet cartridge, and have only had to replace it twice. I don't have especially heavy print needs; I am a computer professional, however, and I estimate that I am perhaps an average printer user. The ink dries quickly, and I have not had the "smudge" complaint that I had heard from a friend (who told me AFTER I purchased this printer)
25 Low on Ink
It does not have much ink in the cartarage compaired to the price. If I need to print very many pages at one time it goes dry. I used up one in two and one half weeks doing a research paper. That is too expensive.
