HP No. 78 Large Tri-Color Inkjet Print Cartridge (C6578A)

Hewlett-Packard 78 Tri-Color Inkjet Print Cartridge (Large).
1 This IS NOT a bargain price
The cartridge is just fine, I use it for printing cards and like the quality of my prints, but Amazon is acting like they are giving us such a bargain. I'm disappointed by this. You can buy this same cartridge at regular price directly from the folks who make the printer for a whole whopping 70 cents more than this supposedly 20% mark down sale price. That is not a sale, it's highway robbery. Now the price for the regular sized cartridge IS a sale, it's cheaper than you can get it directly from the people who make the printer for this cartridge or any other place I've seen so far.
2 HP 970Cse prints SLOW
We have an HP 970Cse for the last few years and have tried everything under the sun to get it to printer more clearly and faster, and nothing has worked, including this cartridge. We replaced the 970Cse with an Epson Stylus C84 and are 100% happier.
3 Don'y buy HP 78 from this company
It is a fake one, not a origianl HP product.
I hate they cheat...
Why Amzon can not see consumer's review
It is a lier company
4 Don't buy HP No. 78 Large Tri-Color Cartridge from NetSales
I want to give advice to all you want to buy this "HP No. 78 Large Tri-Color Cartridge" from netsales-usa
Don't do it, because it shows original HP pictures but it is a fake one. Just a compatiable one not HP product.
I prefere to buy all products from AMAZON.
5 It's red, just like me.
This cartrige never printed any color than red. even after cleaning many, many times! Will never buy another cartrige from them. paying twice the price for one that works is a better investment.
6 You can buy this anywhere at this price.
18 dollars off? I don't think so. Only buy this here if you take the free super saver shipping. Otherwise EVERYONE who carries this offeres it for 54.99 and doesn't even pretend to tell you that you are saving 18 bucks.
7 No Substitute
Just stick with the OEM products and you will keep your sanity, If you have not tried one of the "No Fail" refill kits, don't.
8 Price is the same as in local stores
If you are looking for a good price for this cartridge there is really no discount here. The manufacture and other major retailers are selling it for exactly the same price.
9 Top Dog for 970Cxi
I have been using the 78 since I purchased by 970 Deskjet Printer. When I first got my printer all I could get was the low capacity 78. That was a bummer, since I do a lot of color printing. I do Christmas cards, birthday cards, posters, newsletters and they all come out great. I am grateful for the large capacity. Can do so much more at a better price.
10 recommending
If you want total cost effectiveness get a Hewlett-Packard Business Inkjet 2200 model. Based on 15% coverage and using all inks equally, you get a grand total 5.7 cent per page yield. Yes this product also uses 4 seperate cartridges: one black, one cyan, one magenta, and one yellow. Yes, you will need to buy printheads for this every so often, but the yields on those are fairly high. Sixteen-thousand pages for the black. Twenty-four thousand for cyan, magenta, and yellow. Total cost per page for all printheads: 6 cents a page. ... .There is more objectively written material about this product in a May, 2001 CADALYST article, a CAD/Graphics publication.
11 too much
I found the HP to be not as good or as sharp as an epson that I use at work. I'm also amazed that no one has commented that the color ink cart. is 20% of the cost of the complete printer. The three colors in one cartridge is a real rip-off. I'm replacing a cartridge for almost $50 that has most of two colors remaining.
12 Great and lasts forever
Just a me-too of the other review. Quality should be a given, and that's here, but I'm still amazed by how long I've been using this cartridge. Dozens and dozens of high-quality glossies at photo-quality resolutions, all spectacular. (I'm using the excellent HP 970Cse, which I can also recommend. Double-sided printing is even handier than it sounds.) The other compatible cartridge has less than half the capacity according to the specs, so why bother?
13 GOOD Ink -- and probably a better value !
This is the ink I use in my HP Photosmart P1100 color printer. The results are super -- especially when used with HP paper. HP makes another cartridge that contains less ink and costs less: model# (SKU) C6578AN. The cartridges are the same physical size, but the amount of ink inside differs. Whatever you buy, be sure to store it UPRIGHT. That helps prevent bubbles or air pockets that can form inside which can cause imperfections on the printed page.
