Ordered the HP No. 78 Tri Color Inkjet Printer Cartridge and got some generic brand ones that CAN replace hp cartridges

2 No yellow, one cart. didn't even load
I purchased two cartridges, thinking I was getting REAL HP ink jet cartridges only to find that they are reloads. One cartridge wouldn't even load in my printer and the second had no yellow. I spent $40 and had to throw both cartridges away. It is not only a total waist of money, time and loss of business, but a total rip off and misrepresentation. DO NOT BE FOOLED, DO NOT BUY THESE CARTRIDGES!

3 no blue or yellow ... poor customer service
I purchased three C6578 cartridges from imaprint ... none worked properly ... only color that functioned was 'red' ... no response from company despite several complaints / emails

4 Imaprint company rip off for these cartridges
In November 2003 I ordered 6 of these cartridges and they were all dried up. So I sent tnem back to Imaprint by delevery confirmation. They received them and I have yet to get them replaced. I contacted Amazon they did nothing because it was over 60 days. I have contacted Imaprint via e-mail and nothing in return has come back. So the bottom line is The Imaprint comapny is a straight up crook.

5 bad products
I bought the HP No78 Tri-color ink from this company last Aug, but when I tried to use it in Nov, I found the cartridge is empty! This is cheating! I wrote complaint email to the vendor, but never got feedback. I will never buy ink from any second hand dealer anymore.

6 Misrepresentation
Seller needs to remove the HP 78 box from the web. It is misleading to think that you are receiving the real HP 78 Tri Color Cartridge when in actuality you are receiving a remanufactured cart in a totally different box. Not satisfied with the deception. It was told I could send it back but what about postage? I'll have to pay!? I didn't see the small print that NOW appears on the web. I am sure it wasn't there before 'cause I was avoiding all items that said remanufactured cartridges!!!!

The cartridge that I received did not print green or yellow. I sent an e-mail to IMAPrint and received a reply that if I send the cartridge back, they would send me a different one. I have not received a different cartridge and it has been over 3 weeks. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again.

11 Easy installation and good print quality
This ink cartridge slipped right in and has excellent print quality. This, perhaps, is the only reason HP can get away with charging so much for these things!

13 Poor color
I purchased an inkjet print cartridge from this company. The printing from this cartridge was awful, the colors were all tinted either green or blue. I emailed the company to see if there was something I could do to fix the problem and they never returned my email. I am very dissatisfied with their lack of response and their product.

I can't seem to find a way to let you know that I have not received my shipment after a month so figured I would do it this way. Your tracking program doesn't help and nowhere on your site can I find out about my order. Service and delivery are rated 1 out of 10.

17 printing photos
This cartridge along with the HP photosmart 1000 print photos that is better than having them printing in a print shop. The only thing wrong with it, is that it runs out so fast. You can't get many photos with this one. I usually buy the larger size.

18 Outstanding Colors
I find this color cartridge produces excellent colors for high-quality photo printing. The only drawback I have found is that the ink does not seem to be waterproof at all, and runs if even a drop of water comes in contact with it.

19 After an extensive wait, I was sent free software.
I ordered 2 of these Aug.31st. When I finally got these, the following year, I also received free Broderbund Print Shop software. It was worth the wait, The Print shop is an excellent program. Thanks Amazon. Cartridge works good and with the proper equipment is refillable.

22 It's a printer cartridge don't get too excited
Here's a situation: You have a printer. It has no ink. You want some ink. So you buy this cartridge. It's a little expensive but ultimately you are happy. The End.

As you can see there's not really a good story you can tell about a printer cartridge. So in the end no matter what I say about this is not going to change the minimal excitement generated by goods of this sort. So if you need ink for your printer, then buy this.

23 I bought the HP printer due to quality & long lasting ink!
After researching several printers for photo quality, I purchased the P1100. Not only are the photos beautiful the ink jet cartridges last much longer than their competitors. I also own a Lexmark, NEC and Cannon. The ink seems to always run out faster and the price is comparable.

This price is fantastic for this cartridge...

24 GOOD Ink !
I use this ink in my HP Photosmart P1100 color printer. Great results - - especially when used with HP paper. But for the best value, consider buying the high-capacity cartridge. The model# (SKU) for that is C6578AN. The cartridge is the same physical size, but it contains more ink. But whatever you buy, be sure to store it UPRIGHT. That helps prevent bubbles or air pockets that can form inside which can cause imperfections on the printed page.

HP cartridges are the best you will find, although the prices are a bit more expensive than the rest it is well worth it, the quality of my photo and cards are exceptional.

26 THIS produces PHOTOS
I am thrilled with this ink, and my HP932C for reproducing scanned images or printing digital camera shots. I have found the quality of the images to be superb, and despite the cost of the cartridges, (the ink seems to last for quite a long time) I think this is well worth the money!!!

27 Great Ink for Great Printers
Owning a 970 CSe, this ink cartridge does wonders. High quality imagery, through vibrant colors, this ink cartridge is just fantastic. Not only that, but it tends to dependanable, I only give it 4 stars, due to price. But, if you want something that's good, you have to pay for it, and this is surely no exception.

28 Beautiful color at last
Outstanding color, very easy to load in just a few seconds. It does tempt you to print all the photos you have been storing on disc. No problems with lines or blotches when printing. Great product only suggestion for improvement would be more ink.

29 Good quality but it doesn't last much
The quality is excellent especially for photo printing. Unfortunately the size of the cartridge requires more replacements than I would like.

30 HP C6578 Color Cartridge Is an Improvement
Color saturation of the C6578 cartridge, as used in our Deskjet 970Cse, is a big improvement in quality over the color cartridge in our previous 895Cse. The colors in the C6578 were deeper in column overlays (over black numbers) than were the colors from the cartridge in the 895Cse, which confirms a claim by the manufacturer. One of the problems, however, is that the printer has been sending screen warnings that the cartridges may be improperly installed. You are instructed to remove and then reinstall the cartridge to make sure it works properly. At this early point (we bought the Deskjet 970 last December) it is hard to be sure the problem is with the cartridges and not with the printer, but reinstalling the color cartridge seemed to work. (It did not work however for the black cartridge, which we are replacing because the latest screen warning is that it is defective.) My problem with cartridge replacement is that the toner level shows a good deal of unused material that must be discarded as waste.

Judging the C6578 cartridge strictly on color balance and saturation, however, I would say it is a big improvement on previous HP inkjet color cartridges. As for smudging, we have not had any such problems as yet. From the first test print, to photo downloads, the color quality of the C6578 has been good. My hope is that the cartridge itself does not prove defective.

32 Reliability
The C6578D hasn't very much ink in it (only 19 ml), so you don't get very much for your money. But the print quality is very good - just HP.

33 HP still has a monopoly, but their cartridges ARE improving
I've owned a HP printer which required the use of the 1823D cartridge, and this cartridge seems to be a vast improvement over that one. I'd estimate that it seems to print about 30-40% longer than that earlier-designed HP cartridge. Of course that could be put down to the printer itself, but the point is that I get more life out of this cartridge than my last ones.

This is moderately good news for anyone, like me, concerned about the monopolistic nature of ink jet cartridges in general. While I generally think that the Justice Department would be better-served to spend time investigating the monopoly of ink-jet supplies than Microsoft, at least it appears that HP is trying to improve their products.

Out of completeness, it should be pointed out that the Amazon description, above, fails to mention that this is the cartridge for the 1220 series as well as the 900 one.
