1 just like the episodes ont not
this book has the three begining episodes.the first episode is when ash starts out on his journey then he meets misty than brock.BUUUUTTTTTTTTT THE BOOK DOES NOT GO IN TO DETAIL AT THE BEGINING OF ONE CHAPTER IT SAYS THEY HAVE A NEW FRIEND BROCK WITH OUT TELLING HOW HE GOT THERE.THIS WAS WRITTEN SO SLOPPY.I DO NOT KNOW WHY THESE USED BOOK PRICES ARE SO CHEAP.
2 Excellent!
I enjoyed Pokemon I choose you. I read it three times. It is a good book for Pokemon fans. It is an excellent book.

But there's one kinda huge
problem _____ mischievous
little Pikachu won't do
a single thing Ash says!
Book One in the brand-new
Pokemon series, based on the
popular TV show.
4 i choose you pikachu!
This book is pretty cool. it tells the story about Ash Ketchum and pikachu and a few of the adventures they go through. I think this book was mostly aimed at younger fans, because i read it really fast.i like this series because it's based on the t.v. episodes (well they actually are the real episodes). If you want your kid(s) to read a book but can't get them to, and they like pokemon this is a good choice.
5 Man! This is not good.
There were no metaphors in this book, nor was it parallelled in any way to real life. I was not impressed at all. People would be much better off reading things like Dostoevsky or Hemingway. Little children, read Jack Kerouac's On The Road if you like Pokemon!
6 Big dissappointment worst in the series
It started out okay but when i got to the end of pokemon emergency oh my god its all ready at vermillion city i mean come on there's at least 5 episodes cut out. The author has no paitence, nor imaganation. The only reason i gave it 2 stars is because it had good translations to pokemon i choose you and pokemon emergency otherwise it's cruddy. Serious fans: don't buy this you'll be dissappointed Little kids and not so serious fans MIGHT like it. It is easy to read, so younger fans will get the most out of it. Older fans won't like it though (most likely)
7 pokemon book#1 review
The book was ok but it wasn't my favorite. I think they left out too many episodes and they didn't put enough parts in each episode they talked about. So Ididn't like it that much.
8 Worst book of the series
This book is not as good as the rest , it skips storys of Brock of the pewter gym , clefairy and the moon stone and sisters of cerulean city . It is the worst book in the series .
9 Kelly Lansing's review on Pokemon Book #1
This book was given 5 stars by me because it's written exactly like the cartoon series.In other words the book was explained the same way the cartoon series had it.The author left out no details which I liked and am very glad this book was made. {The pictures were very well done to.}
10 Well I think this book has great chapters!
So far in the book it is pretty good. I think you would really enjoy it if you went to the stor e and got it it would be a really good, creative book. At the end of the book there is a list of Pokemon movies that you can buy. On the back of the book there is a Pokemon emmergency information and a list of Pokemon. and it has great illustrations everywhere. my favorite pokamon is Pikachu. hes an electric mouse & very cute. Parents might think that Pokemon is bad but it is really not very bad.SO YOU MIGHT CONSIDER GETTING SOME POKEMON STUFF FOR YOUR CHILDREN.
11 It was about Ash getting his first Pokemon
I've seen all the shows in this book and I think I like the TV shows better. I want to see the new Pokemon movie. I think it's gonna be really cool. I especially want to see the part about Pikachu's vacation.
12 I thought the book was awesome!
I'm 9 years old. I liked this book because I like Pokemon. The story is about Ash gets Pikachu as his Pokemon and Pikachu won't listen to him. Ash meets Brock and Misty in this book.
13 COOL!
I think third and forth graders will love this book I love it too. This book is about a boy named ash that want to collect all the Pokemon and to be the greatest Pokemon trainer ever. He gets the best Pokemon named Pikachu but will Pikachu ever going to trust Ash? If you want to know order the book Pokemon I Choose You from Amazon.com
14 Frozen Beans!
This book is ok. The story covers the original tv show, but it skips lots of parts like when Ash gets the Boulder badge. If you are a fifth grader don't buy this book!
15 A great book
Pokemon I choose you is about a kid named Ash who tries to find a lot of Pokemon. I like the part in the beginning of the book when Ash gets his first Pokemon called Pikachu. The part that I don't like at all is when Pikachu goes against richu in the Pokemon league. Richu almost killed Pikachu but he had to go to the hospital in Pokemon city. Then Pikachu went back to the gym.Pikachu said that Pikachu wanted to fight him,and this time Pikachu won big time. Then 11 year old Ash the trainer, got his first badge and the other people that he played against him. I used to have to have two of the same book, but I gave it to my friend who lives across the street from me. You should it,because it has good characters and animation.
16 Great!
I think that this book was above average and I would recomend this book to poeple who like pokemon but don't know much about it and would like to learn more!
17 A classic retelling of the cartoon!
In this story Ash Ketchum is able to start his Pokemon quest, capturing and raising these magnificent creatures. During his journeys though he must find help in the most unusual places. Starting off with a stubborn Pikachu Ash find the real meaning of friendship.
