Opening with a Bond-style action sequence, the 2005 Disney Channel Original Movie Kim Possible: So the Drama finds our heroine attempting to foil Drakken's most insidious plot yet. What can he possibly want with robots from Nakasumi Toys (the company from the series' first episode, "Crush")? Dr. Possible's cybertronic technology, creepy syntho-drones, and the latest teen fads? Kim's used to fighting Drakken; the bigger problem is finding a date to the prom, or--worse--going with Ron, who's so not that kind of friend. Enter the new guy in school, Eric, who's cute enough to inspire cootie alerts. But that means no more hanging out with Ron, who's also having major issues with Bueno Nacho's new management. Hang-ups aside, the two friends will have to figure out a way to save the world one more time, leading to the debut of a spankin'-new outfit and a surprise ending. So the Drama marks the end of Disney's Kim Possible series. For its cool adventures, its nifty gadgets, its hip wit, and a teen heroine that appeals to both youngsters and oldsters, it will be missed. --David Horiuchi
Kim Possible is ready to save the world (again) in this action-packed, seriously exciting adventure. Here's the sitch: Dr. Drakken has an evil new plot for world domination, but his ultimate success depends upon finding out KP's weakness. Could it have anything to do with a certain new hottie named Eric? Kim is definitely distracted by the prom date drama. Meanwhile, Ron is up to his eyeballs in strange little Diablo Devil toys when his favorite food joint, Buenos Nachos, crosses over to the dark side. Now he's acting like such a dweeb -- just when Kim needs him most! If Dr. D can keep up the pressure, KP will SO have to surrender! But it's not over till it's SO over! Don't miss all the undercover adventure, explosive action, and never-before-seen DCOM-Extra bonus features in Disney’s KIM POSSIBLE MOVIE: SO THE DRAMA.
1 Crazy Cool
Who would've thought that the best animated movie to be produced in-house by Disney in 10 years would be a series-ending wrapup of a Disney Channel show? Kim Possible a quirky mix of Austin Powers (minus all the adult gags) meets Saved by the Bell with a slick animated style that proves the format is still effective if the subject matter is up to snuff. "So the Drama" is a bizarre storyline that works because it seems to be poking fun at itself the whole way through. They seem to have struck the perfect balance with the characterizations, the high school issues, the over-the-top diabolical villianous plot, and the amusing SheGo/Drakken Honeymooners-style banter.

It's hard to take Kim's childhood pal Ron seriously, but they brought some real emotion when he broke down because he's "losing everything he ever cared about!" Which amounts to his favorite taco restaurant and his lifelong crush. But hey, when you think about it...does anything else really matter when you're 16? No, and it doesn't really change when you're 35 either...if they closed Starbucks and my wife ran off with an evil robot I'd probably be curled up in a ball on the floor too.

The Bottom Line: My daughter absolutely loves Kim Possible, and here's why I encourage the heroine-worship. Kim's a high-school cheerleading captain who runs counter to all of the stereotypes...rather than play her up as a vapid Buffy, they let her be what she is: intelligent, athletic, a loyal friend, unassuming and at times awkward. She's someone who ultimately isn't afraid to struggle with the social pecking order being defined around her and in the end stick up for her odd childhood friend, Ron. It's the kind of message I want my daughters to understand before they get to high school. Get to know your true self and don't let anyone make you ashamed of what you are.

Anything is Possible for a Possible!

2 TV Version Very Good--Extended Version Much Improved
I opened and demo'ed this DVD at my store because Kim Possible is a very fun and well-written cartoon above all the rest that Disney makes right now. Everybody walking by the bigscreen TV was really hooked by the opening sequence. I expected this "Extended Version" to have just a few more dialogue scenes, when what to my wondering eyes should appear: a highly extended and dynamic Shego/Kim fight scene in the Bermuda Triangle club (flying dishes and chandeliers!), rocking underwater combat action, and a couple little transition scenes that really improved the flow of the plot. That's not even mentioning two extra deleted scenes and a whole unaired extra episode that just cracked me up and dovetailed with an older episode while building Kim and Ron's impending romance. A must buy, especially if you buy A Sitch in Time also.
3 SOOOOOOO THE DRAMA!
Even though I haven't seen this movie,I think it's gonna be cool! It all starts when Ron (Friedle) becomes peeved about Kim (Romano) and the new boy Erik (Ullman) together, and Kim's archfoe Dr. Drakken (DiMaggio) has a plan so evil that even his sidekick Shego (Sullivan) won't believe! And who will Kim take to the prom,Brick Flagg,Josh Menke (Meyer),Ron or Erik? I'm thinkin' Ron,because at the end K.P. and R.S. kiss! Oh,and I almost forgot,at the beginning of the flick, there's a James Bond version of "CALL ME,BEEP ME!"
4 Sooo not the drama- and I'm not kidding
This movie was fine but absolutely nothing special. It focused more on Ron, which was a big downer. It was missing all the "just friends" stuff between Ron and Kim and also, you didn't see any of Shego slamming Drakken's plans which is one really funny part of the show. Plus, Kim and Ron do not make a good couple. It didn't have as much pure butt kicking action as normal, this moview definetly focused much more on romance. Wade has a much lesser part in here, as does just about everyone. Rufus, Kim, Ron, Drakken and Eric were the only ones with decent sized parts. Shego was downsized to include more Drakken, which was a very bad move, she is the much more interesting character. Oh, and Kim's big weakness? That was about the crummiest thing I've ever heard of.
Watch it but don't buy it. Get Sitch in Time instead, much better for the value.
5 So not the drama
For three years Kim Possible has saved the world from evil villans bent on taking over the world while still managing to be a good friend (most of the time), a cheerleader, and keep good grades in school. Now we have what Disney has slated to be the last adventure of this teen hero.

This movie is filled with all of the action and comedy that the series has become popular for, but it also has a more in depth story line. The villans are even more evil, the plot to take over the world even more diabolical. Can Kim Possible unravel this new scheme to take over the world and still deal with all the drama of the prom?

Watch this movie to find out.

6 Wonderful show, great movie
I had no idea there was a hint of ending this show until I read the reviews here, how depressing!! This program never ceases to be clever and fun. It is one of the few shows my daughter watches that I can sit through. The movie was no exception; the whole family watched the film together when it aired. Disney will be making a HUGE mistake if they pull this one now, it's got many successful years ahead of it.
7 So the Drama!!
Excellent movie for all the fans of Kim Possible! Adults will enjoy this animation series too so don't be shy about sitting down and watching with the kids.

p.s. If you like Kim Possible, write to Disney and have them end their "65 episode" rule.
8 A 71 Minute E- Ticket Ride Walt Disney would be Proud of!
After seeing the Movie "So the Drama" on April 8th, 2005, I have to say this.. If Lion King was one of Disney's Greatest stories, This one Eclipses it.

Kim Possible: So the drama Has all the Action, Adventure, Comedy and (yes) Drama that has made this Disney Channel Original series a thrill a minute for the last 3 seasons. and this movie Doesn't disappoint eihter.

In it , Kim's Archfoe, Dr. Drakken comes up finally with a Plan So Devious, you really won't be able to figure it out.(After all if his sidekick Shego can't figure this one out, Neither will you..)

The first five minutes alone is a White knuckled E-Ticket ride and in fact really give the show it's best premise. after the opening credits, you're kept guessing all the way to the last 10 miinutes of the film, and once you see the blend of 2D and 3D integrated in this film this film proves one thing. It can do anything. But this isn't just a thrill ride, it's an adventure the family can enjoy, and in the end when you see it.. it's definitely proves one thing.. Anything is indeed Possible for Kim Possible. (after all She CAN do Anything!)

and heres an Edited note: Since the DVD version of the KIm Possible Movie: So the Drama, comes in at 71 minutes there are extra added scenes that even the TV Movie on Disney channel never showed and now after getting my copy today, and seeing them.. I just have to say.. If you didn't get your copy till now, I would absolutely say definitely buy it! It's still worth it! why ? Cause some of the scenes right in the middle are perhaps the best (and I just wonder what this would have been like if Disney had put THOSE in ! (maybe they would have had even more viewers of the Movie watching! So in the end.. this movie is like I said, It Still delivers the goods, and doesn't cut out the Rollercoaster thrills..it's worth the price of an E-Ticket!

9 Absolutley Amazing!
The Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama pulled me into the movie the instant I saw the begginging. It was as if I was there inside of the television screen, being a bystander watching what is happening in the movie.
I could feel the pain, happiness, eagerness, bewilderment, and many other emotions that the characters were going through. Many times while Kim and Shego were fighting, I would fall out of my chair over the intenseness of the movie-my face inches from the televison screen.
The ending captured my soul. I am not the one to be sensitive, but as the song of Christy Carlson Remano's Could It Be was playing as the backroung music, I cried. Long and hard with large tears streaming down my face.
This movie is better than any movie I have seen, and I have seen sxtremely great movies in my lifetime. I recomend anybody to buy this movie because, even if you are NOT a Kim Possible fan, you soon will be a fan of the movie and the series.
10 Great movie,needed a longer ending

11 Not as good as I thought it would be
This movie is not as good as a sitch in time.I thought that was the kim possible movie. On disney channal, just about a year ago, they said a sitch in time was the first Kim Possible movie. It makes no sense at all.Anyway, this was like the show in a lot of ways (except for Kim and Ron falling in love). At the end ,as always, kim beats shego and the villians go to jail. Its kind of dumb if you ask me.
12 Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama
I liked this movie! It seemed to go by really fast, but it was good, I just wished it went on longer. =D
The movie starts with Kim on a mission. Later at school Ron meets the new boy: Erik. Kim meets him, and they immediatly hit it off. Ron finds himself jelous of Erik.
Meanwhile, Drakken has a new plan that no one can figure out involving Bueno Nacho, which is going bad.

I won't tell the rest, just in case you haven't seen the movie on TV.. buy the DVD to find out what happens!

13 Great! ( I feel bad for Ron)
I loved the movie! It was exciting, romantic and funny! The only reason it's a "4" is because I cryed and felt bad for Ron because Erik totally took over Kim and EVEN asked her to the prom (he was only there 2 days)!!The last thing I'm going to say is that Kim and Ron realize they like each other, then they dance and KISS!!
14 So great!
This movie was awesome! I mean okay I admit, I'm 19 but I love Kim Possible. The show had that mix of fun and drama to really get the older crowd into it if they tried watching like I did. I admit I've missed quite a few episodes, but I'm hoping to catch up now. Anyway the movie was great, and I got so sad at the end that it was over, i really wish Disney wasn't so stupid to cancel, but they were. I'm definitely getting the DVD when it comes out, especially since it's an extended edition. And am I the only one who thinks Disney needs to come out with season boxsets for Kim Possible? They should!
15 The Best Disney Channel movie EVER!
I have watched this movie 3 times already since it came out on April 8th (as I'm writing this it is April 10th)

ANYWAY...

This is one of the best movies ever. Period.
The fighting scenes were kicked up a few notches (some hard punching done by Kim and even Shego draws a tiny bit of blood on Kim's arm).

The whole movie was fairly emotional . . . Kim gets a new boyfriend Erik and, at first Ron accepts him, but when Erik starts pushing him out of the picture, Ron gets jealous.
To make matters worse, something strange is going on with Bueno Nacho!

There's even a scene where Kim feels hopeless and RON'S the one to tell her *basically* not to give up.

This movie is a MUST for any cartoon fan!

Now, right now, Kim needs our help! Help bring her back by visiting: savedisneyshows.com and the MSN & Yahoo groups "Mission_Kim_Possible" to help us end the 65-episode policy and save her!

Also, one last note before I go: look on Ron's mirror for an awesome sign.

16 An adult & parent who still has lots of kid in him
The "Kim Possible" series came out about ten years too late for me to enjoy watching it with my daughter. Thankfully, I still have a lot of kid in me and, having discovered the series early in its second season, have thoroughly enjoyed it as a welcome and much-needed alternative to the cesspool that is most of today's television. I must confess I even got a little attached to the characters as the series progressed, especially leading up to the movie, whose "mission" as a finale to the series was a poorly kept secret.

The movie is fantastic. Bob Schooley, Mark McCorkle and Steve Loter all deserve Emmys and loads of praise for exploiting the longer movie format, taking advantage of the latest CGI technology, and fleshing out the characters, bringing us a fitting conclusion to the current series. As usual, the cast of voice character actors, led by Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle doing the voices of Kim and Ron, are terrific.

This is unquestionably one DVD worth buying and watching. I'm even thinking of getting a copy or two to sock away and give to my future granddaughter(s) and grandson(s). Yes, it's *that* good.

Now, if we could only convince Disney to make an exception to their "sixty-five episodes and out" rule regarding series and either continue "Kim Possible" with new seasons on the Disney Channel, or, perhaps, pick things up where they left off at the end of the movie and take the series to primetime. I'd be willing to bet some serious money (in the form of buying Disney stock) that a primetime "Kim Possible" would be just as successful or even more successful as the daytime series has been the past three years.

Anyone with me?

17 Kim Possible, So The Drama
Kim Possible has been one of my favorite shows for three years, but So The Drama is the best of the best, Im not going to give the plot away, but I'll tell you this, it's got a great twist to it, watch for it on Disney Channel and Toon Disney and be sure you buy it on DVD or VHS.

18 Early Review
At the time of this writing, the Kim Possible special, "So The Drama" has just been telecast. Intended to be the series finale, the plot involves the show's villainous Dr. Drakken finally figuring out a rather comprehensive scheme to take out his arch-nemesis Kim Possible.

The story is "angsted" up from the usual goings-on in the series, with the music just a bit edgier, the action just a tad more violent (Shego, Drakken's evil hench-woman actually draws blood on Kim, at one point), and even through there's a realization that this is set in the cartoon world, there's a serious tone to this film.

This made-for-tv special does something that few Disney Animated TV series have actually done, and that's resolve a loose end that haa been materializing throughout the program, and in particular the last five episodes. Here, Kim, the heroine, and her comic assistant, Ron Stoppable, are growing up. Ron has little to offer the beautiful high-schooler save his loyalty, and being the underdog ---well, after this film, things will never be same between them.

While the animation is sub-par compared to Disney's theatrical releases, the fact that the budget has been cranked up shows. And certain choreographed action scenes show the work the writers and producers put into this climax. The fight scenes between Kim and Shego are certainly more intense than anything we've ever seen on a regular episode. Still, certain moments feel rushed, and a slight dramatic pause or two would have helped the emotional intensity of what's going on.

The DVD release is supposed to include the never-before episode "Gorilla Fist" which also slightly hints at the events in "So the Drama," and there are also some extended or deleted scenes that had to be cut from the film due to time.

Have to confess, I wish the DVD had commentary from series director, Mr. Loter, and other producers.

"So the Drama" deserves credit for taking a few chances for a Disney series, when it could have been safer for the writers and producers not to. Hopefully some of the other Disney continuing series might learn something from this.

Even though this may be the last Kim Possible adventure, I hope this DVD will encourage a return from KP and Ron Stoppable in the future.

Sincerely,

JThree
