Works very well as advertised! I run it on an iMac G4 flat panel, OS X Panther.
My LaCie model was pre-formatted in HFS+, so I literally: 1) unpacked it; 2) plugged in power; and 3) plugged in FireWire 400 cable. Drive mounted and displayed immediately. It's been drag 'n drop ever since! I have not experienced any issues mentioned in previous LaCie reviews.
I would recommed this product (for Mac users--I have not tried it with a PC) without hesitation. It exceeded my expectations.
