1 SP3 update kills it.
Lacie are getting the wrong end of the stick from me. The fact that this company refuses to update drivers for old hardware for new versions of an OS is simply a farce in this day and age.

Lacie refuse to develop drivers to support a new OS or even an update. Back in the days of NT they would not even bring out Win2k support for the systems. When XP arrived most of their hardware the year before was simply left to dry up with age.

In short if you buy Lacie then it will only perform to your current system specs. Any changes to the OS and chances are you will be shelling out more doe for new hardware.

CON.
2 Another good bet for Mac users
I am a dedicated Apple user, but needed an external hard drive to store a backup of my hard drive as well as assorted digital video editing files.
After much research, I settled on this drive, also at the advice of a professor of mine, When it arrived, I opened it up, and plugged it in. Just like every other product I've ever used with my Mac, it worked right away without any setup.
As an added plus, a CD is included with the drive that includes a simple and effective backup utility, good for the average user who just needs a good backup of their data.
Overall, a very good purchase! I'd suggest this drive to anyone looking for a good external storage solution.

Quote of the Day:

I was in a bar and I walked up to a beautiful woman and said, "Do you live

around here often?" She said, "You're wearing two different-color socks."
I said, "Yes, but to me they're the same because I go by thickness."
She said, "How do you feel?" And I said, "You know when you're sitting on a
chair and you lean back so you're just on two legs and you lean too far so
you almost fall over but at the last second you catch yourself? I feel like
that all the time..."
