Logitech's Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks expertly combines a compact, truly portable, and elegant form with the advanced features that give mobile warriors smoother control. But not just smaller. The right size. Streamlined. Packable. Easier to quickly pop into a pocket. The right fit too, for either hand. A small, sleek USB receiver plugs easily into your laptop. And with Logitech's FastRF technology you get all the convenience and freedom of cordless, with no letdown in performance.
1 Nifty!
This mouse is a must-have for anyone who uses a laptop and doesn't like using the touchpad.
The mouse is smaller than the desktop version, but it's performance and comfort rivals a full size wireless mouse. It has an on/off switch on the underside that saves battery life, and it comes with a black travel case that stows easily for travel.
I highly recommend this mouse.
2 I can't live without mine
I've been using this portable mouse for nearly a year and love it. As I'm frequently travelling, I use the mouse about 30 hours a week. A little neoprene pouch is included, which even has a pocket for the USB receiver. Installation is painless under Windows XP. The mouse has a power switch to save batteries when not in use.
The one negative is a technical issue. An error message is generated when the laptop tries to hibernate. Fortunately, there is a simple workaround. Disable "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" option under the Device Manager.
3 Must have for notebooks
Highly recommended for laptops. Even though it has a "connect" button, never had to use it. Just plug and play installation. No need to download/install drivers. Used it with Win 2000 and Win XP.
Pros ::
* Solid responsive mouse
* Just like any other mouse
* Cordless so no tangled wires around you
* Optical so can be used on ( just about ) any surface
* Small USB receiver
* Cute carrying case with separate pouch for receiver
* Used it, without any issues, with my wireless internet connection
* Easy to replace batteries
Cons ::
* Might be small for a person with large hands &/or long fingers
* Just 2 button mouse
* Not aware of any way to program the "buttons" ( for "left handed" persons )
* Slightly heavier ( because of batteries ) compared to a general optical mouse.
