1 Great Buy
WOW !!!
that's all i can say about this product. Initially i didn't trust the wireless keyboard and Mouse cause of the problems that i generally encountered with other brands and models but this Logitech Cordless Navigator Duo is great.
As soon as i plugged it in i had to press only 3 buttons to enable the keyboard and the mouse...

No problems whatsoever till date.
In addition the range for this is arnd +50ft that is awsome....
hey i have plugged my PC into my Home Theatre sys.

be confident and have no hickups whatsoever....

Get rid of those messy cables.........
2 A pox on the cordless mouse!
Just in the last 30 seconds, the mouse has skipped, paused, and jumped about 3 times. It is incredibly annoying. I used a Logitech cordless mouse (a portable one made for notebooks) before, and loved it, but this one is driving me crazy. (It may be that I have to move the 'station' closer to the mouse, but it's only now at the foot of the desk.)
The keyboard is nothing special. The keyboard of my IBM laptop is more comfortable, though I think the plethora of "action" buttons on the top is useful. Unfortunately, the Internet access buttons do not work with the Mozilla Firefox browser.
3 This is an excellent Keyboard And Mouse
I purchased this from Amazon and I got this in two days with free shipping. Just plugged in receiver to USB port and insert the batteries. Amazingly both keyboard and Mouse started working without any settings or restart of my computer. Howerver you need to install provided software if you want to use complete multimedia keys. I am using this for my Compaq presario laptop. All keys are working fine after I install the included softwre. Great package and great deal from Amazon.
4 Great technology that works
Need a wireless keyboard and mouse combo? The Navigator Duo will do the trick. Set up is quite easy: plug in the two receiver cables into your computer and push a few buttons. (It's just too bad the instructions are confusing.) One further comment on set up: be sure to heed the instructions and put the receiver away from your monitor, speakers, etc.

Once you've completed the install, you can enable the encryption of the keyboard signals. A word about that: without the encryption, it is technically possible for someone to intercept the signals sent from your keyboard to the receiver and capture your keystrokes (think passwords, credit card numbers, etc). So, I highly recommend that you enable the keyboard encryption!

The mouse and keyboard both are easy to use and feel comfortable in your hand(s). The mouse provides a definite "click" sound and feel when you click, so you'll never wonder if you clicked or not. The scroll wheel is pretty smooth and rolls easily, with just a bit of resistance so that you'll know you really are scrolling. The keyboard can lay nearly flat, if you wish, and gives a good amount of feedback on keypress without any loud clicking noise. Some people may think the keys are a tad on the soft-side, but I don't think it'll be a problem for anyone.
5 Very Mac Compatible! Great keyboard & mouse combo.
A previous reviewer gave this product 1 star and said its Mac compatibility was poor. IMHO, his/her reasoning is flawed. (not having enough USB ports on your machine is not a valid reason) Either buy a more modern machine, which has more ports, or buy a USB hub. The reviewer also claimed that the mouse required a PS/2 port in order to be used. It does not, and is wireless just like the keyboard.

I personally own 2 of these for my 2 Mac's at home and have given one to my Mom for Christmas to compliment her iBook. They all work very well, and are very customizable and easy to use.

The only complaint I have is the lack of an ON/OFF switch to save the batteries. However, I just bought some rechargeable AA's, and all is well. Very good product with high recommendations!
6 Not really Mac-compatable...
I have an older iMac with 2 USB ports and no PS2 ports. The receiver needs one USB port for the keyboard and one PS2 port for the mouse. That means only the keyboard can be used out-of-box. The iMac keyboard has 2 usb ports, one of which I use (as is common) for my mouse. This frees up my other USB port for my printer. Even if I hook up just the keyboard, I am left having to choose between my printer and my mouse or buying more hardware (a usb hub) to get just a cordless keyboard.
7 Very Good
It is the best deal I have ever found in computer add-ons. It also comes with name of logitech , biggest name in pointing devices.
Just Go 4 it.
8 good but...
its really good one. it can be used for both pc and notepads. but multimedia keys were functioning wrongly. that means for messanger button, it invokes mute options. most of multimedia button's functionality were shuffeled.. other than that it is really fine.
9 Poor quality
I bought one of these and was surprised at the problems I had, as I have not experienced issues with Logitech products before.

After about two weeks, the left mouse button began to degrade in performance, and lost its "feel". It would squeak when clicked, and the amount of travel to press it down got much smaller. The "Enter" key on the numeric keypad would also stick down when pressed.

I returned the unit, and the replacement set would not even communicate between the keyboard or mouse and the receiver.

I returned the second set, and bought a wireless MS Multimedia keyboard and mouse instead, whith which I have had no problems in 2 months now.
10 Only a couple tiny issues...
I like this, except I did run into a couple things I don't like. For one, I don't think I am able to disable the sleep button, so I went into standby one time on accident. Also, the optical didn't work on my solid black mouse pad. I had to find another mouse pad with a gel wrist rest (got the pad at one of those office stores, like Office Max or something).
11 Only 1 bad point
I bought this combo for use in an office setting. It was simple to set up and works great. As it is for office use, I was looking for a simple keyboard without all the extra buttons for media, e-mail, webcam, etc, but could not find one. However, if you don't need those extra functions, you won't need to install the included software.

The only downside to this keyboard is there are no indicator lights for caps lock or num lock. However, it is such a small inconvenience I still give it five stars.
12 Don't buy if using other system than windows
I own the Logitech Cordless Navigator Duo since about 6 month now.

First the good news:
The mouse is great, it's ergonomic, has two buttons plus the wheel which incorporates a third button. The handling of the mouse is very nice and precise, it works on almost any surface.

The bad news:
I am running a variety of operating systems: Windows 2000, DOS, Gentoo Linux and BeOS. The keyboard does ONLY work as it is supposed to with Windows and DOS. All the other systems are a nightmare with this keyboard. The so-called "ghost letters" appear constantly. This means that when I am typing in any software, letters appear which I did not type, on it's own. In my case it's the "q" letter. On other occasions it's just a space. This mostly happens when I use the backspace key--the keyboard inserts a space on it's own.
This really is a nightmare if you regulary write emails etc., the only work-around is to use the delete-key instead of the backspace key. On Linux it also seems to help to disable the F-keys. However, then you won't be able to use the F-Keys.

I know I am not alone with this problem. If you google for the phrase "unknown e1 escape sequence" in Google Groups, you will notice that several people have the same problem and noone ever found a solution.

Afterall I really urge everybody who wants to use other systems than Windows not to consider this keyboard, it will drive you crazy.

13 great product, works for Linux
I love this product. It's very easy to set up. It has both the USB interface and the conventional PS2 keyboard/mouse interfaces. I get it work with both my Linux box (vis PS2 port) and Windows box (using USB) without any hassle.
14 good deal
This is a great combo pack. It matches my BenQ lcd monitor and looks good in a white room. Mouse is easy to use and has quick response time. Similar to Microsoft package but much cheaper.
15 very good wireless combo
I recently tried a Microsoft wireless combo to replace a wrecked keyboard on my HP PC. I exchanged the MS for the Logitech and am much happier. The big difference is the layout of the Function keys and keys over the arrow keys. The MS board has the F1-F12 keys in four groups of three; the Logitech has them in three groups of four, like every other keyboard I use. The MS board also had a different arrangement of the Insert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up and Page down keys; on the the Logitech they're in a "standard" 2X3 arrangement.

If you only use one computer, the key layout is no big deal. If you use more than one, the differing layout can be very annoying.

FWIW, I also prefer the shape of the Logitech mouse.

Update: The batteries in the mouse lasted about 4 months; pretty good considering that the LED is always on. The batteries in the keyboard are still going strong. On average I use them almost daily for 1-2 hours/day.

16 Perfect for Mac OSX!
I recently recieved the Cordless Navigator Duo as a "get well soon" gift of sorts for recently having had serious knee surgery. My computer illiterate dad was able to set the keyboard and mouse up for me in minutes and as long as you install the included software, everything works flawlessly. you can easily program buttons to open up frequently used applications, web sites or folders, and it is perfect for my music collection. It can switch tracks, adjust volume, pause, play, stop, and eject a cd all without opening your media application (iTunes, WinAmp, etc.) The keyboard is extremely quiet and comfortable and the mouse works great on any surface. I love this thing.
So believe me this product works PERFECTLY on a mac running OSX.
17 Love It!
I have several cordless keyboard/mouse combos because I work on several different comptuers. This is the best! It doesn't have quite as many frills as a few of the more expensive Logitec combos, but the mouse on this one is much smoother and more responsive than my others. I wish I had this one on my other computers.
18 EASY TO USE.
Perfect for a person who doesn't want dangling wires. Easy to set up and use. YOu can even use it on your bed. A stylish keyboard. A1 rating......
19 A great product for the PC...
I've purchased cordless mouse/keyboard combinations before, but this is by far the best one that I have used. Installation is easy and flawless, and the product works just like it should. Using other similar products, I had problems with the sensitivity of the mouse. However, with this unit, the mouse has no problems. Highly recommended!
20 Not for My Mac
I have bought Logitech products for years but disappointed in this one. The one keyboard fits all just doesn't work here. No driver for OS9, I've had to hook up the old keyboard to get the CD tray to eject, you lose that extra usb port on the keyboard (for your camera etc.), and the mouse sucks up the batteries.
21 Not for mac users.
I looked at a lot of keyboards before deciding to go with this one. Regardless of my research, I made a mistake. The keyboard and mouse are fine, it's the Logitech Control Center software (required to run if you want to access all of the keyboards extra buttons) that ruined this product for me. Running OS X, the software COMPLETELY disabled my ability to drag and drop. Even after uninstalling it, I was still crippled. I had to do a full reinstall of my OS X software to erase the corruption. Now, I can drag again, but I can not access all of the keyboard's features. I do NOT recommend this product for a mac user. It's a waste of money and a LOT of time.
22 It's no Apple Pro
I like the idea of wireless, and this package is cheaper than the Apple Pro keyboard and mouse. But while it's certainly serviceable, it's not the quality I expected. The keys are a little mushy, and the response is slow. The main drawback is its size. The thing is way too big. I may return it.
