I never thought I would belive the reviews, but these speakers thump! Great sound quality, aesthetics and size! Makes any music sound good, except Country...just kidding!

2 Awesome speakers for the price!
The Logitech Z-3e have a nice range of sound. The base is fully adjustable. I find having it around mid-way is perfect for most listening needs. The highs are clean and clear, the mids are full and the bass is deep. The silver finish is also a nice touch. Look around and you can often find these for 20% less than retail. Highly recommended speakers for those on a budget!
3 Logitech Z-3e Speakers
After reading a couple of discouraging opinions on these speakers, I still went ahead and ordered, knowing that I could return them if I was unsatisfied. Now that I've owned them for a couple of months, I couldn't be happier with them. I know that everyone is entitled to their opinions but I, personally, can't see where the negative opinions were justified, unless those buyers didn't install the system correctly. You'll want to be sure to place the sub-woofer on the floor to get the best results as specified in the instructions. Also, the comments that the bass was too overpowering can be easily remedied with the volume control that is found on the back of the sub-woofer. If that still doesn't correct the bass, go into your computer's sound settings and adjust the tones from there. I'm convinced that these speakers are one of the best values out there. The sound quality surpasses many other speaker sets costing much more money. In my opinion, you will not be at all unhappy with the purchase of the Logitech Z-3 speakers
4 awesome looking, nice sounding speakers
ive been using these speakers for about three months now with my laptop. they are absolutely incredible. i liked them so much that i bought two more sets for family and friends. everyone who sees them comments on the cool looking and easy to use remote, which i think is one of the best features. also, you can take the grill off of the speakers to make them look even more sweet. i looked at a lot of other speakers before buying these, and for the price, these were by far the best deal. although they might not sound as nice as altec lansing speakers, they are pretty close. the volume goes way louder than i ever need it to go, and the sound is still sharp and clear at loud volumes. the only slight downfall is that the sub volume is on the back of the subwoofer. this is no problem for me though, since i keep my sub at a constant level anyways, unless it is for a party or something. from my experience, i have found logitech to make very durable and quality products. i would recommend these to anyone looking for quality upgrades to their current computer speakers. i have used creative, jbl, and altec lansing speakers in the past and these are definitely at the top of the list.
5 You get what you pay for...
Compared to my Logitech Z-2200s, it's easy to see why these retail at about half the price.
The wired remote only has a volume control unlike the 2200/2300 series which has a subwoofer volume control too, and that makes all the difference---this cheaper boomier subwoofer does tend to drown out the satellites, even when listening to jazz music let alone rock, rap, or game effects. The only thing that really sounds decent on this system is classical music...because it very seldom involves the subwoofer!
If you're patient, Logitech will probably offer a rebate on its 2300 system just as it did for my 2200, which after rebate ended up costing a mere ten dollars more than this sorry Z-3e "Premium" (gag! chortle! choke!) system does with its current rebate.
6 Too much bass
Certainly this speaker system looks great and it's wired remote is a nice touch. However, the bass that this unit produces drowns out the sound from the satelite speakers even at it's lowest setting. Why make this so bass heavy? I'm returning mine for something less violent.
7 very decent
I have these plugged to my Xbox and they're very decent.I recieved them for Xmas,set 'em up to my Xbox and BAM,GREAT SOUND!The reason why I rated these 4 stars is the sound is not THAT good;its good,but not THAT good.But overall this system really KICKS for the money
