1 Good Deal !!
I just built my new system and had to choose a keyboard. I went through many of them. This one has a good normal key layout with a backslash key under the backspace key. The big Return buttoned ones can be annoying if u use backslash a lot. The keys are really soft, quiet. They press really well which I like cause I type a whole lot every day. It has a wrist rest too which is so much better. I play games on it and it performs fine. I dunno what this gigabit delay that one review below was talking about but it responds as fast as other keyboards from visible inspection alone. Technical geek? maybe...back to the keyboard.. Its almost as quiet as laptop keys if you have to type late at night. The buttons are very neat. Its gonna take some time to learn what they are all bound to and how to maximise time and work efficiency. The volume control on this thing works beautifully. It functions well +, -, mute. The play stop prev. next buttons work with winamp also wich is great. The My Doc My Pic My Music buttons are useful. Check it out. $25 bux is a good deal people. I would estimate its worth more like 35-40 bux.
2 Gigabyte Delay
This keyboard is delta based and has a strong gigabyte delay which virtually renders it useless.
3 One of the best wired keyboards available
This is a very solid keyboard, as only microsoft knows, they have build the best keyboards for a long time. Its quiet, the keys have the right presure and feedback, its very well design, and it has very good support, with new drivers I havent had a single problem. For mouses i still prefer Logitech, but for keyboards microsoft still the king. Defently recommended.
4 Nice quality keyboard at a great price
This keyboard is a very good value at Amazon's price, and a real pleasure to use. The key travel is soft and quiet, and the keys for My Pictures, My Documents, Undo, Redo, etc. are convenient. In addition to five My Favorites keys, you can also reassign any of the preset hot keys to your liking. The media player controls are handy also, with the volume control allowing small increments of change. The zoom slider works well in Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop Elements, Word Perfect, and web pages; these are the only applications where I've tested it, but the Microsoft web site lists others where it should work. I haven't had the keyboard long enough to attest to its durability, but it seems solid and well-made, and the black-and-gray finish is attractive. If you're looking for an upgrade from the default keyboard that came with your computer, this is an excellent choice and you won't be disappointed.
5 Great value; solid keyboard
I consider this to be a nice, middle-class wired USB keyboard. The media/shortcut/quick launch keys are convenient and easy to configure and rebind. Keys feel firm and are quiet. My only minor complaint is that the zoom slider does not work quite as well as advertised; from what I've tested, only Microsoft Word works with it consistantly.
