Motorola C333 Phone - Next Generation (AT&T)

Compras Nikon
Bluetooth
1 cute, but fragile
I got this phone because it was the smallest available -- It fits into any pocket. I have never seen anyone else with it.
You have to use a lock code to keep the buttons from being pressed. The speaker on mine has a volume problem so I have to use the headset all the time - which drains the battery very fast. I like its features and the menus are easy to navigate, but the Calendar/Alarm program is terrible and I never use it. It's very cute but I am going to have to buy a new phone with a working speaker and a better locking system, this one is not convenient as a cell phone should be.
2 Cute but not the best
Got this phone for $20, AT&T shipped within 2 days.
- mMode button on base keypad is HORRIBLE. I kept accidentally connecting to the Internet, which was not part of my plan. I got sneaky, went on AT&T's site, and found out how to configure my Internet settings. I set everything wrong. SO when I hit the button it cannot connect. Problem solved. But still a wasted button.
- took me a few days to figure out how to lock keypad. If not, I was calling everyone in my address book from my purse. Opps.
- battery life is very poor, after 2-3 hours talking need to recharge right away
- cannot find replacement battery
- buttons too small for text messaging regularly
- cute design--I've never seen anyone else who has one. Get lots of "cool phone" comments, if you're into that.
- fairly dependable reception. Only a few dead spots, spots that seem consistent with other people's phones.
- generally little interference, although does occur occasionally
- every once in awhile it will have a "reverb" effect, where everything you say is repeated so it sounds like there's 2 of you saying the same thing. Creapy.

I wouldn't get rid of your landline for this one, but it's a fun little phone. Of course, now mine's broken because I dropped it in a river. Oh well. Go figure. Add that to the list: not waterproof. :-)
3 First time buyer, rethinks Motorola C333
I bought this phone a little over 7 months ago. I thought that the Motorola company was a respectable company to buy from so I invested in the C333. It's actually a little awkward using in the hand - the buttons are located too low. I almost feel like it's slipping out of my hand. I do though enjoy the lighted number keypad. Lately, I've been told that many people can't reach me. The phone doesn't ring so I don't know someone is calling me. I only find out after talking to the irate person in person. I don't know if this is a problem with my service provider or with the phone. But because no one else complains, I have to think that it's the phone. The battery lasts a few days for me, so that is not a problem as is the case with other reviewers of the C333. I think my next phone will be a Nokia.
4 Does this phone use SIM card then I can change to another ?
Does this phone use sim card? If so, I can changed to another phone for just use the sim card?
Thank you for your reply.
5 Fico
I enjoyed this cell phone. This is one of the best cell phones i ever bought.
It has everything.
6 Good design but very bad functionality
This phone has a good design and when you look it at first time you get in love with it but..... Don't buy this phone!!

I've got this model two times and the 2nd has the same problems than first.

The battery life is very poor and it's integrated, it's too slow when you're looking a phone number on the Phone Directory and it's a problem specially when you're driving.

Please don't buy this phone.

7 looks can be deceiving
This phone is terrible along with its service. I have had this phone for a year and have had too many problems. First, the functions that are discribed in the manual are not what's in the phone. The ringer volume jumps without you doing anything. I wasn't able to call anyone without the phone shutting off and losing service for a minute. I sent my phone in and they sent me a new one. The new one had the same problem and more. I wasn't then able to recieve calls, I'd just get the message that some one had left a voicemail. AT&T wouldn't do anything and charged me $30 for the new phone. It was my first and worst phone I've had.
8 Disgusted
This phone is TERRIBLE!!! I have had 4 warranty exchanges on this phone and all of them have been plagued with the same problems mentioned by the other reviews. Do yourself a favor and run!!! Don't even look back at this sorry excuse for a phone.
9 Bad Very Very BAD
This Phone is a VERY bad phone! It has very ba battery life and always turns off durring the middle of my call. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
10 the absolute WORST phone EVER!!!
Please do yourself a favor, click the back button, and forget you ever saw this phone. It's cute small design makes you think it must be a great phone. Looks can be deceving. I live in NYC and still reception is not as great as my new nokia 6800. The ringtones are WAY too low and the vibration is not felt at all when walking. I never know when people are calling me because either i cant hear it or the phone just turned off for no reason. Lastly, THE BATTERY IS HORRIBLE. After a five minute call, my battery is dead!!! This is the second return to AT&T, and still I have horrible battery life!!! I am getting rid of this phone. I expected more from motorola. I can now only trust Nokia, their ringtones are LOUD for city settings, and their battery life is WONDERFUL. Please take out advice! We aren't lying! The battery life is a joke!
11 Dodgy Phone
I agree with the other comments made about this phone. Using my phone for mainly texts (thankfully) I was surprised to find that I could not make any phone calls without being automatically
cut-off. The battery lifetime is ridiculous. The size & design of the phone are fine but if you can't get the basics right, what's the point. Motorola - get your finger out and start putting a bit of technological thinking behind the design. For a company making loads of money, you should stop ripping off the punters!
12 worst purchase in the history of the world
honestly theres nothing good about this phone. i bought it cuz it looked cool, but after a week the battery wouldn't last for more than a 10 minute call and even with no calls it wouldn't last a full day. it randomly shut off when i call people. then sim pin or whatever is stupid, u have to enter a code every time u turn the phone on.
13 Phone is cursed - don't buy
The battery issues are real. The random shutting off it real. Don't buy this phone.
14 Stunningly bad phone; at least it's small
I own this phone. I returned my first one because of battery problems mentioned in other reviews. I've experienced reception problems. The programming in the phone is just BAD. Certain common sequences of button presses shut the phone off for no apparent reason. The phone can easily be made to lock up, sometimes mid-call. The backlight turns off at strange times. The only redeeming quality is its size; it fits comfortably in a pant or shirt pocket.
15 Battery issues
We are experiencing the same issues with the battery. Once charged, it doesn't hold the charge long enough to make any calls. I'm trying to find a new battery for it now.
16 Never buy this phone, sincere suggestion!!!!!
I have taken the phone 25 days back and for first 20 days it worked good and i was very happy with the deal,i didn't cared other reviews, even though negative about this phone, which u can see them.i was then realised when my phone started troubling me, reception really sucks me, cannot hear the others voice, some times cannot make/recieve calls and one great thing is battery gets down just in an one hour...most of my friends said that battery problem comes after 3months but i was shocked to feel it in a month, is this amazing??????? no it makes me mad!!!!
I am really happy with the AMAZON for giving us agreat deal and service.but i am not happy with this phone and i am sure u will not be too!!!!!!!

I would like to tell you not to be fooled with this model"
never be fooled, buying this piece !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note: i am refering mainly the piece i got ,might be the problem with my piece or may be with the model itself.

17 Don't be Fooled...
...by the cute, tiny size and flattering words of the ad. This phone is terrible. It shuts off mid-conversation, gets no reception in high-traffic areas, and you have to scream into the phone to be heard. The battery is far from long-lasting; I could have a "Charge Complete", unplug from the charger, make one 5-minute conversation, and I'm down to one bar and have to charge it up for another two hours. The ringtones are of poor sound quality, and cannot be heard even on the loudest setting. Vibrate doesn't work well, either.

I got this phone as a supposed "upgrade" of my Cingular plan, and I've been unhappy ever since. This was a terrible investment. Both Motorola and Cingular ought to be ashamed for offering such a loathsome, crappy product.

18 HORRIBLE!!!
This phone looks nice - but that is about the only thing that is nice. The phone will just shut off in the middle of conversations and it has horrible reception. I can charge the phone all night long and within an hour - without even making any calls - the battery will be down to 1/3. I would recommend buying any other phone but this one.
19 Don't buy this phone...
Like the other reviewer, I purchased this phone for the small size. It also came with a Disney Theme Pack (Winnie the Pooh) - my other reason for "upgrading". After receiving the phone (ATT service) I was amazed at how poor the reception was everywhere compared to my old phone. On my Nokia, I would get 4 out of 5 bars indoors in the center of my store (retail business). With this phone - no service at all. Even outdoors, nothing. Hve to hold the phone over my head to get a signal and then it shuts off when pressing the send key. Cannot be returned any more (kept it for 15 days). This is hands down the worst cell phone I have ever purchased, and I've had a lot of them over the years.
20 Don't bother
I was drawn to this phone because of its compact size and good looks. Other than these two qualities, I hate every single thing about this phone! The reception sucks- it's hard to get a clear signal in the middle of Phoenix. It's hard to hear people on the other end. It completely shuts off for no reason whatsoever. The battery life stinks- it lasts a little more than one day. The charger for my car worked only about two times. Please don't make the same mistake I did, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
