1 BLM-01 vs. Generic
The BLM-01 is by far a long lasting Li-ion battery...I can get far more than 300 or 400 photos with the LCD screen on before having to recharge (daytime, no flash). If cost is a concern, check out www.ebatts.com for a generic replacement battery of the same chemistry. I bought one a few weeks ago and am very impressed. Costed about $28 compared to Olympus $45+, and I have shot more than 200 pics w/ the LCD screen on and changing functions without having to recharge. In my opinion the generic is well worth the money. We'll see along down the line if its lifespan is comparable. Charging time for Olympus BLM-01 approx. 4.5-5 hours. Charging time for the generic BLM-01 approx. 4-4.5 hours.
