After purchasing a Canon Powershot S400 digital camera, I made 2 additional accessory purchases that have kept the camera snapping shots without fail. 1st... purchase a substantial amount of memory (Compact Flash in the case of the S400 model) I recommend 512 MB or 1 GB, to avoid having to carry several cards with less capacity. 2nd, and perhaps more importantly, keep your camera shooting with a powerful battery. The Power 2000 ACD-214 is a champ with tons of power. On average, I have been able to shoot 200+ shots (some with the fill-flash) without swapping batteries or a recharge. I have gone days on vacation or hours at a party without worry. This is an investment in "peace of mind" that you will be ready for any recordible moment.
