1 Tough little space saver
Currently serving in Afghanistan, I am in Army Aviation. We spend a huge amount of time on missions, and sometime's we're forced to sleep on our helicopters. We cant bring things like TVs with us on the birds, but this little screen fit right in my flight bag along with my slim model PS2. At least it is something for those crappy nights spent in the middle of nowhere. The resolution isnt bad at night, but the screen is too small for some games. But it's better than nothing, and the sand and rough rides dont seem to phase it at all. I'm really happy with this product.

im looking foward to but this lsd screen but the thing is i go school and sometimes go out with my friends and sit at a park and i dont have a car isnt there anything else to power up the playstation 2 without using the power plug that you connect to the lighter crap to your car is there any other device like a big recharge-able battery or something?

4 Terrible screen, not worth the 150 bucks...
I absolutely HATE this screen. It is so tiny, that you cant even see anything barely. I play sports games mainly, but on this screen its nearly impossible to play because you cant see anything. NOT WORTH 150 BUCKS AT ALL!!! There is another option out there that i will tell you about here...Go to best buy, or another electronics company, and buy a power inverter. i have a JENSEN brand 300 watt inverter. It plugs straight into your cigarette lighter spot in the car. Then, if you have a small kitchen tv that some people have, or about a 13 inch tv, you can plug that into the inverter, and have a full sized tv in the back of your car or whereever you want. Defintittely the better option, worth the money...i think the inverter is the same cost as the piece of crap screen.
5 Fun and enjoyable
This product is overall pretty good. I used it for a video game and a dvd. Video game worked well. When the background is supposed to be black it is more of a green color but the foreground is just like a bigger screen. For the dvd I watched Spaceballs[I f you have never seen it you don't know what your missing]. It is a darker movie so the people came in really clear but the background [again supposed to be black] was more of a greenish color. My 2 main criticezms are that they say it is a 5.4 inch screen when really it is more like 4.8 or 4.9 inches. Also you must be sitting within 3 or 4 feet to see it very clearly and even then you sometimes have to fiddle with the brightness and color. Overall on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest I would give this between a 7 and an 8.

Do not get this! It is awful, it says the picture is TV like quality, don't fall for it. The picture is grainy, and you can't see from more than one angle. Don't wast your $150!
I recomend Intech's 5" LCD screen, which has great quality, they don't sell them anymore so you have to get it used. But its worth it. BE CAREFULL, DON'T GET THE 5.4"!
9 Not as good as the 5.0 screen
I got this for my son for Christmas because he has wanted one since he played with his uncle's PS2 screen. Well, I guess I didn't take enough time to read all of the reviews and if I had never seen the 5.0 screen would probably have been satisfied with the 5.4. However, since I have seen the 5.0 screen, this 5.4 screen was a HUGE disappointment. The quality is no where near that of the 5.0. I took it to a store the day after Christmas to exchange for something else (at my son's request who was also unhappy with the quality). Don't buy it!
10 Very Pleased....
I was leery about buying the Intec 5.4" Color Game Screen, having read good and bad reviews. Some reviews mentioned a distinction between a 5" screen released earlier and other sizes, but I was pleased when I hooked this one up to my son's PS2 console. The color looks good, the screen is clear, the sound is decent, and it's lightweight and easy to hook up. I didn't see any of the problems I had read about, such as lines and blurry images. It's also nice that it matches the design of the PS2 console, since it's not something made by Sony. I'm looking forward now to bringing our PS2 on car trips and such. Of course, like anything this small, I'm sure it has limitations, but it's a keeper.

how could that statement be made and not be fasle advertising, i bought this peice of junk last year before i moved to germany, i thought it would be nice to have for my many feild experience i would have in the army, i was wrong, the picture is so small, yes it is a mini tv but come on really, here is some advice go to a pawn shop, plop down 50 bucks for a used 13 inch tv. The sound, well its not that bad if you like 8 dollar discman speakers, the light on the screen is from the edges and not filterd at all so one side may get more than the other thus making a big huge white blob on your screen use your 120 bucks elsewhere
12 A great companion for the PS2
If you are going to travel with the PS2, this screen is an (almost) perfect accessory. Its only major drawback is the lack of a dual-socket power inverter, sold separately (look for the Gamer's Power Inverter for around $40). This is ideal for long trips, as it allows kids (or anyone) to play their favorite games and, in conjunction with the PS2 DVD Remote (also sold separately; get the Sony version), play DVDs. The 5.4" screen has an excellent picture (the 5" is also good, but trust me--avoid the 5.6" screen. It has MAJOR resolution and color issues), though adjusting to the smaller screen while playing games can take some time. DVDs look sharp, as good as any portable DVD player, for a substantially smaller amount of money. Great sound, too. For anyone travelling a long distance, this can be a lifesaver.

This screen is so sweet i never thought i would be able to watch movies in the car! All you need to do to hook it up to your car is go to like Radio Shack and pick up a power inverter so u can plug your PS2 and screen into it. Anyway...I got a 5.4 inch screen DO NOT GET THIS KIND.They get distorted and get lines across it,so I exchanged it for a regular 5 inch screen.So now this works awesome.It is better to watch movies then play games on it.Great for the car!

19 Save your money!
I recently purchased the Intec PS2 Game Screen from Amazon.com only to send it back for a refund (except for the shipping charges which were deducted from my refund). Picture quality was very poor--everything looked like it was in a fog. I couldn't get enough contrast (had it maxed) and picture was too bright (all the way to min). If your familiar w/ PS1 LCD screen, you'll be disappointed with Intec's.

I am looking for a portable screen for my ps2 to travel with. i have been looking at all your reviews and the intec isnt getting very good ones. so i went to another sight looking for diffrent screens and found the intec 5.0 screen whitch some of you thought was very good for the money, but i'm on a bus a lot and dont have a cigarett adapter to hook it up to but i did find a madcatz 5.4 screen that came with a 12 v dc adapter and was a few dollars cheaper. if i'm not mistaken the adapter can use batteries so you really can take it anywhere I was just wondering what you guys thought i should do
21 Works in a pinch
I have a job that includes a lot of travel and I am an online game nut. I bought this because many of the hotels are stopping gamers from connecting to the tv. This screen works in a pinch, but really wish you could see a little better. Very difficult to get around in a role playing adventure. But, if you have no alternative, this beats nothing.
22 Frustrating
My son got this after X-Mas and it has been working fine. Now that we are going out of town this Friday the screen will not work. Now the three new DVD's I bought him, he can't watch not to mention all games he can't play on an 8 hour trip. I am going to try and take it back tomorrow, wish me luck!
23 hard to control color and bad all around quality
I bought this screen with high hopes of it being as good as the sony PS One screen. the color is hard to get just right for playing games. It was eather to bright or too dull. I would wait for the sony screen to come out for better quality.

Really great and cool, you can take it in the car but you need a special cord. I love it, and the one thing that I don't like is how sometimes you have to tilt the screen from any light.

I was very unhappy with the picture quality of this item. To get a picture clear enough to see detail, I had to turn the color off and the brightness to max. This washed out the picture. There is no contrast control.....There is no contrast in the picture. There is very little green in the picture, Everything looks blue/red/and purple. I bought a WinTV adapter for my laptop computer. It has video inputs. The picture quality through my WinTV adapter is 100% better. If this is an option for you, for a laptop or PC, try this first...It quickly connects to the USB port on the computer. Oh yes...you can re-size the picture to whatever you like. The picture suffers if you expand it to fit the monitor, but at about 8-10 inches it is good.

I think that the screan should come with an ac dc adapter insted of us having to buy all that stuff to play it in the car all I want to do is have a littel fun in the car on a trip with out having to spend a bunch of money.
29 DO NOT BUY!!
... First of all this screen costs abous -money amount]! The first day I got this screen I pluged it in, and it worked fine for about a hour until this black line showed up across the 5in (very small) screen. So now there is a big black line across the middle, and it driving me crazy. The only thing that saved me was that I bought a warranty from [local store]. So I went to return this screen and got a second. After about 2 good hours of play this screen is completly busted. Now I;m really [upset] this is my second screen in less than three days. My advice to you is to save your money and buy a couple good games. Along side the [money amount]for the screen you have to fork over another [money amount] fo all of the power adapters for you car. Please take this advice.
30 not a true lcd screen
the intec screen for the ps2 is not a true lcd screen. remember Game gear, from sega, same thing. it's a tft matrix, which means this, your colors will be slightly off, mostly shifted to orange-ish, and it is back lit, so brightness won't be perfect either. the sound is decent. action scenes are a little blurry, dark games are harder to play. I still bought it, it's not a bad product, the s-video helps, a bit. as long as you don't expect plasma tv graphics, you won't be disappointed.

Under availability, it says ships withing 1-2 days. It has been a week and isn't expected to be shipped for another two weeks. I am cancelling and will not order from here again. 32 Pulling out the weeds and giving an Honest Review
alright, so you want to know the goods on this screen. well, i will start off by saying as you already know it is [$] dollars and to be spending that much you want to get your moneys worth. I thought just because it cost that much i would, but i was wrong. This lcd screen, the 5'6 inch model at least has very poor quality. Im here to give everyone thinking about buying this the nitty gritty. The images are flushed out, blurry, and if you are a role playing game fan, you won't find much here because all the letters come out blurry and stuck together so to speak because the colors run right into each other. It is very hard to read any letter. With all the blurry letters, there is this issue of being able to see every single line on the lcd screen when turned on so that you have lines going across your gaming screen. (and yes folks, it is hooked up snug and properly and i tested it on xbox and psone) its like watching cable when the cable wire is not completely in the back of the television. This irritates your eyes. The fact is, that the image is so poor one would think they needed glasses. This is not an exaggeration, this it truth on how poor the picture quality is. I bought one of these yesterday and made a mistake, now im going to take it back, mainly because of the poor quality of this ... lcd monitor, one would think something was wrong with it. It is far inferior to that of any tv, or of the psone's lcd screen which did not blur, show lines, or have letters that blurred and stuck together, it was crisp and clear, thats the kind of lcd screen to have for any of the next generation systems, one of quality. If you want an lcd monitor for your ps2 or xbox, the 5.6 inch screen is Not the way to go. I have heard good things about the 5.0 inch screen however (they made this screen in two sizes), which was said to have far better quality. if you get one, get it, its the same size as the psone's lcd screen. Also, one final note, only buy one of either the ps2 or xbox lcd screens, either one will work on both systems if you have the audio/video wire to plug in the back, though according to what systems model you get is what will fit on that particular system, you can put the system under the seat or floorboard and the screen in your lap. I took the advice from A Gamer in Grand Rapids, MI and located the 5 inch screen version. I can't compare since I've never used the 5.6 inch version but I can say the 5 inch version is an excellent product. There is now a 5.4 inch version available and I have to wonder if it is shoddy like the 5.6 or good like the 5.0.
Regardless, if you want a self contained screen and sound system that will stay attached to the PS2 unit this is pretty much your only choice. I found that darker games can be viewed better by turning the brightness way up and tilting the screen away from me slightly to improve the brightness. The contrast, screen speed and sound quality of the unit is outstanding. The sound is even more impressive when using headphones. I've had no trouble playing sports games or action games in which some of the screen objects are quite small.
It would be nice to have a battery pack and car adapter for this set up but if and when I need such a device I'll put something together. As is, this makes my PS2 a great lunchtime diversion tool at work.

My husband and I are avid PS2 players. I was so excited when I bought this screen, it was a surprise present. I was disappointed. I did not mind the size of the screen. What I did not like was the quality of the screen, very bad resolution. We played a DVD movie and could not see it on the screen.

i bought this screen for my deployment in the sandbox and this is what i have to say on it:
this screen is not bad.
i'm not saying it's good ... but it's not bad.
for one, 5.6" is too small for me. two, the headphone jack has a nasty hisssss on the background. three, it looks fragile.
and if you think that this thing can substitute for a portable DVD player, think again. it's anything but portable.
the brightness/contrast/color problem went away after having the screen turned on for 10-15 minutes.

If you only want to play by yourself than this is the one. It is very hard to see with split screen play. Color could be ALOT better. You have to play with the controls to get the color close to what it should be. Being a LCD screen the way you position the screen makes a big difference. It's ok for kids but if you are older you may want something much better. Have used it in the car with an power inverter from Radio Shack.
38 The Awsome Sony PS2 Game Screen
We take a good deal of road trips and we originally purchased it for our son to use when traveling, rather than an portable DVD player. However, it turns out that it makes PS2 a completely portable and self contained unit. Our son and his friends can play PS2 anywhere now without being connected to the television. We haven't gone "on the road" with it yet but are looking forward to our next trip.

The screen is a little small but you can see what is going on it is a little less perfect around the edges. I can play dvd's where ever I go. It does require to power plugs I am currently trying to find an alternative to make it truly a mobile monitor.

This thing is great! I bought a DC to AC converter Power SUpply that plugs into your auto cigarette lighter. There are several ont he market . Now my kids have PS2, CD and DVD capability on ther go.
43 Cure for playing the playstation 2 in the automobile
To get around this problem, is to go and spend about 50 bucks for a power converter. One that plugs into a cigarette lighter and converts to 110 ac volts. I did for my laptop and it works just fine in the pickup. No need to spend a hundred bucks for a special converter that a dc to ac power converter won't do. dk

48 Beware differences in the same company's screen!
Just a word of warning: Intec has at least TWO versions of this item on the market. The first one, labelled as the 5" COLOR GAME SCREEN is an excellent product with a good screen, excellent clarity, and good colors. The second one, labelled as the 5.6" COLOR GAME SCREEN is also by Intec, and DOES have a larger screen, but it is a VERY shoddy product. The 5.6" Screen is nowhere near the same quality as the 5" Screen. If you are buying this product make SURE that you buy the one that DOES NOT have the ".6" added to the product name! I've owned both models, and the 5.6" screen is TERRIBLE. The 5" screen is BEAUTIFUL, clear and crisp with excellent colors and minimal blurring, but the 5.6" version of this screen has washed-out colors, horrible blurring, and makes it nearly impossible to make out what's on screen when there's motion involved.
Do yourself a favor. Look for the Intec 5" LCD screen, and STAY AWAY from the 5.6" version! How one company could make two AMAZINGLY different versions of the same product is beyond me, but don't get wrapped up into the idea that an extra .6 inches is better! Go for quality instead of size!
49 Must Get If You Have a Job Like Mine
If you have a job like mine, just sitting on your "tush" and watching cars come and go, then this product is a must!
I was planning to buy a portable DVD player to watch movies and make time go by faster at work, when the light bulb turned on in my head. I said to myself, "Why pay $400 for a portable DVD player, when I have a perfect PS2 at home that plays DVD's. I can save me $300 by getting this Game Screen instead."
So I bought the Game Screen. I took it to work, and "wha-la", worked like a charm. It was fast and easy to hook up, and just as fast and easy to put away. The video was nice and clear with plenty of color resolution. As for the sound, well...it has sound, and does the job of providing it, just don't expect Dolby Digital or anything fancy like that.
As for playing video games. I played NCAA 2003 Football, which took a while for my eyes to adjust to the small players and tiny ball. DVD movies are much better to watch. Another thing that was helpful was that I also purchased a "PS2 DVD Remote Control", which made watching DVD's easier at the touch of a button.
I am very pleased with my new "toy" addition to my PS2.
50 Awesome idea!
At first when I heard of Playstation 1 haveing a screen. I thought they should make one for PS2. I'm glad they did. My family is going on a vacation to NY. If I get this, I could play PS2 going from FL to NY. Anyone who has a PS2 and is going on a vacation should seriously consider this great product. I have seen Playstation 1 LCD screens and it looked great. I can't wait until Christmas comes, maybe I could get one. Also, to go with the screen, don't forget you need good games to have fun. I suggest Gran Theft Auto III, Gran Turismo III A-spec, a few sports games, and Twisted Metal Black.
51 Ps2 Gaming Screen
This product is very useful(in most cases).Its really good for traveling or just in the car bored.The screen pops right on and away you go.My favorite game to play on it is Contra Shattered soldier because it brightens up the screen so you can see wats going on.i give this product 2 thumbs up because sometimes u just need to play ur ps2 and with this you can play anywhere.

For my situation this thing is great. As a soldier stationed overseas, the portability of it is extremely handy. Usually I just lug my PS2 with me everywhere and have to find a TV to plug it into...but no more! I know what you're saying...your tax dollars go to pay for me to play video games? As a longtime video game player from Atari 2600, Intellivision to PS2, this is one of the worst items I've purchased. The brightness on the screen is awful. Save the 150 bucks and buy a small TV rather than this piece of junk. I should have known to stick with Sony brand instead of straying.

if there are any accessories that you should buy for ps2, it would definitly be the game screen. this is the greatest thing that i ever bought. at first i was debating on whether or not i should get it because of the money and because people have told me so many times that their screen did not work properly when they got it. they said there were red dots and lines all over the screen. finally i just bought one and it is great. there was nothing wrong with it and i can take it anywhere throughout the house and in the car and on the planes when i travel. you can also listen to a cd on it, watch a dvd, or play your games. i highly reccomend you to get it, and if you are not sure about getting one, just go for it, i mean , if it doesn't work than you just exchange it or return it for you money back.
55 Great to go anywhere with electricity
This screen is great. If you look up cheats on the internet, this is great to use so you can play right next your computer. It's good if your going to waiting in a boring meeting or going to someone's friends house
If you travel, this is the best thing this is for, even once a year.
CAUTION:If you take this to a foriegn country (except canada) voltage levels and socket shapes are different. You must buy an electric adapter so US electric appliances can work. It could start smokin' if you plug it into a foriegn countries socket and permantly damaging it.
Remember, the PS2 can play DVD and CD so it's another good reason to get this. Plus, you can switch to audio only so it can save electricity with the screen off if you were listening only to music
The great thing is, it can play other consoles like xbox, nintendo 64, and maybe gamecube. (didn't try if it worked on the gamecube, but it should) Doesn't work with dreamcast. (it could though) You could try using paperclips as extensions on the video and audio plugs so it might work.
The screen is like a mini TV. It has Video & audio imput, AV multi out, and s-vidio imput.
Overall it's great (just don't throw the box away before you know it's working all right)

57 IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
If you are thinking to take this to another country, (except canada) YOU MUST BUY AN ELECTRIC ADAPTER TO THE COUNTRY YOU'RE GOING TO. Voltages and the outlets shapes in other countries are different For example, if you're going to China, go to a place like Radio Shack to buy an adapter that allows US electric appliances to fit the outlet and adapt the voltage. If you don't, it can cause the screen to burn. THIS GOES ALSO TO OTHER ELECTRIC APPLAINCES FROM USA BROUGHT TO OTHER COUNTRIES, ESPECIALLY YOUR PS2 MACHINE.
I took this to China and plug it in to the outlet and it started to smoke. It never worked again after that accident. Well, the screen is great for travel and if all the TV are used up. The brightness is just as great as the TV. The screen is like as good as a cam corders LCD screen. The sound is satisfactory. You can plug headphones in if mom doesn't want to listen to your game. It slides on perfectly and stays in place like it was installed. This is better than buying a Game Boy Advanced. Get this, it's better if you use it in hotels. Most hotel TV don't have the imput to let you play the PS2 on the TV. GR8 ITEM!

59 Intec 5.6 " TFT LCD screen
It's pretty cool! Great sound and picture. Don't listin to anyone else, the brightness is fine. It comes with the A/C power pac, A/V cable, and 2 way A/V cable. It has an S- video input. Only thing is.... I can't get my Monster S-video cable, Left/right audio to fit.... got to be able to fit in insted of out. :/ It's alright tho. :) You plug and play! It's tight! It's light too! :> stays on the ps2 nicely! :> I like it and I know you will too!...

Well I thought this would be a good thing to have for taking trips. You do need a power converter. ... The main problem I have is that if you play games for more than ten minutes and then switch games the screen goes nuts. It gets all squiggly like the vertical or horizontal is messed up. The only way that it goes back to normal is to leave it off for ten minutes. I have written to the company and have gotten no response about this. .... As it stands now I have wasted my money on this item. ...
62 What a rip off!!!
I thought that this was the greatest thing ever, but if you are one of those people who is expecting to play this in the car or on a plane, forget it. If you really wanted to you could, but you would end up spending more than you did for the PS2. In order to play it in the car you have to get a Belkin F5C400 AC Anywhere DC/AC Portable Power Converter because Sony hasn't even made an adapter for PS2. With the Belkin you still have to plug in your outlet cord into the belkin, then the cigarette lighter. All this heavy stuff can get to be annoying after a while. And to play it on the plane you would have to get two battery packs or one powerful one. If you just want to play it around the house you still have to carry it and find an outlet which you could do the same with a TV. I have been with PlayStation2 from day one and the other reviews are the reason I bought this and they were wrong so me being an experienced customer could tell you that it's not worth the money.

this thing is pretty good...i had no intention of playing this in a car. I jst wanted it to move from room to room or possibly play on mai bed. you can control ur brghtness, volume, and color which is really good...the screen has betta graphics than a standard tv... you can see very clearly...its very easy o hhok up...although u havta use one of ur ps2 adapters which doesn't come with the screen... this is really good in bringing ova to a friends house...its very durable yet heavy...but i dun mind its heaviness...overall if u wanna bring thi ova a friends house or play frm rom to room in ur house...u shouldreally get this... I neva used a tv for mai ps2 since i got this screen

65 Good, but not perfect
I bought this item and the first one I got was faulty. The video cable outputs did not work so I exchanged it. The second unit I got worked perfectly fine up until one time, I was watching a DVD and the screen just made a weird sound and the screen became opaque. Something weird happened, the unit almost caught on fire-it was blowing smoke from the sides and smelled like burnt plastic. I did not even have it on for that long either, maybe an hour and a half. I don't know, maybe it's just that I got another faulty unit (hopefully they will exchange it), but it works great if you can get one that actually works.

Can anyone tell me how this would work on an airplane. Is there any way to make it portable. The playstation 1 comes with a battery pack but I don't think this one does. Any other way to do it????

71 Playstation 2 Games screen
THIS THING [Stinks]!!! I've exchanged it twice now and I still can't get the s-video to come in color(only black&white?). This picture is fuzzy and hard to see at any angle but directly on. And why is it not wide screen? It does sound decent though, and has a somewhat innovative design. My suggestion? Wait for the interact 5.4" monitor for PS2!

This is a good idea but the graphics are hard to make out. But only on dark games like GTA3 and max payne the sound is great but the graphics are bad. :~/

I really think that this will make things alot easier then having to have so many things hooked up to the tv. Any person who owns a PS2 can really see that you now would have a portable dvd player. I also think that if you have a PSone reacharable battery this would make life alot easier then you wouldnt have to have that cord.

I think this item is great because if your going some where far far away you might need this to keep you busy and it`s realy good to use at home if there`s no tv. If you don`t want to play a game it always has a built in DVD player.And theres sorround sond system. The price is great and because it`s a tv screen.
The only thing that`s bad is that it does no have a cable tv built in. I think it will be a blast.And you can get a portible PS2 bag to carry it around it might be heavy but it`s worth it. Even you don`t have to plug it into a wall. Thankyou.Remember PS2 is the BEStttttt!!!!!!

I think this item is good because if you need to go some where thats very far away you can always take it and you won`t be board. I think the price is good because it`s a PS2 tv but the only thing bad about it is that i think it shoud have cable tv or just they shoud put tv in the screen. I think it will be very fun to use you can take it anywear.I chose 5 stars because it is a blast when it comes out.
80 great for the car but color sucks
this is a great but for ps2 if you travel a lot. you can take it anywhere and play anytime. the only problem for this is that sony has not came out with a DC adapter for the car so it must run on battires. it is pretty smalll but the sound is great and clear, i would ask sony or where ever you buy this item if they have come out with a DC car adapter for this because it increase playing time to an infinite amout of time overall its good.

I bought this little baby because I spend a lot of time on the road. This allows me to play PS2, PS1 and watch DVDs while on the road or on a flight. To remedy the problem of not having a PS2 specific car adapter, like the PS1 has, I simply bought a Belkin F5C400 AC Anywhere DC/AC Portable Power Converter. You can plug your PS2 diretly into this, with the same power cord you would use at home, and then plug the DC/AC Portable Power Converter into the cigarette lighter plug-in.
As far as the screen itself, it does appear a little dark. But I found that if you prop it at different angles, the resolution greatly improves. The sound the little speakers put out is very good, but don't expect to be blown away by them. If you want high performance sound, get some good headphones to hook up to it. Overall, great product! This really makes the time fly on the road!

i wouldnt buy this item yet beacuse you can get a 19' tv for the same price. But you might want to check for this item later because it should have a D/C adapter so you can play it in your car soon.
83 A great idea with a few minor flaws in execution
I bought this monitor more for the ability to watch DVDs on the road than the ability to play video games. The device slides easily onto the PS2 casing and doesn't show any signs of slipping off so far. The sound from the stereo speakers (and the convenient headphone jack) is loud and clear. The monitor itself can be turned off with the speakers left on, which I think is a good idea.
The main drawback is that the screen's brightness control doesn't go as bright as you could want or need. Normally-bright games like "Spyro the Dragon" or "Ico" are very playable. Games with a darker color scheme (like "Metal Gear Solid 2," "Resident Evil" or "Silent Hill") are going to much harder to make out if not impossible.
The slim power converter shown on the box is not the anaconda-choking-on-a-rabbit monstrosity actually packaged inside, but what's an extra pound of weight? Also, take a piece of gaffer's tape and cover up the bright blue light on the front of the monitor; it's very distracting.
Again, a great idea for portable movies. A dubious one for serious gaming.
84 Ultimate Creation
Hey to all, this game screen is the ultimate creation by PS2. Being a US Navy Sailor aboard the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73), it allows me to be able to hook my PS2 in my rack (bed) and not worry about using the TV. He gives me the privacy I want. I urge you all to go out and get it while it last. I now can play GTA3/Max Payne in peace!!!
