Compras Nikon
Bluetooth
With infrared-powered PC synchronization features, polyphonic ringtones, a speakerphone and support for AT&T Wireless Internet services, the GU87 is a powerful mobile companion.

Design
The phone features a sleek clamshell design with a 132 x 176 color display with 65,000 colors. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary monochrome display that can display time, battery and signal strength, and more. The CIF-resolution (352x288) camera lens and self-portrait mirror is housed above this display. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's control pad. An infrared data transmission port is supplied for synchronization with a PC or other device. Lastly, a 2.5 mm standard headset jack is provided for handsfree headsets.

Calling Features
The GU87's built-in address book stores up to 200 contacts, with additional contacts storage available on the phone's SIM card. Picture ID allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. Similarly, a ringer ID lets you assign ringtones to callers. A number of polyphonic ringtones come preloaded and more ringtones can be downloaded from AT&T Wireless' mMode service. In addition to a discreet vibrate ringer mode, a built-in speakerphone makes handsfree conversations a breeze. Voice dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
The GU87's built-in web browser lets you tap into mMode downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's mMode service lets you receive and send emails, read news headlines, get sports scores, download games and ringtones, and more. Traditional text messaging, as well as picture and sound messaging are also supported by the phone. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

A number of handy software tools are bundled with the GU87 including a voice memo recorder, a calculator, a calendar and an alarm clock. The GU87 supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard via infrared, meaning it can connect to an infrared-capable PC to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data.

Imaging and Entertainment
With the GU87's built-in camera, you can take and send pictures via MMS or transfer them to your computer via infrared. The camera features a 2x digital zoom for close-up shots. For mobile gamers, the phone supports games written on the Java platform. One game, Herding Sheep, ships with the phone and more are available via the mMode service.

1 Not bad
I have had this same phone for a year and a half now. The vibrator in the phone went out about a 3 months ago, but that is really the only problem I have had out of it. I believe it is a great looking phone, and the large lcd screen is great for saving pictures to look at later (although not quality enough to send to email and print, but I haven't found any camera phone that good). Overall I would recommend it if you find a good price.
2 Crap
Bought this phone when it first came out a year or so ago. Back when circuitcity sold ATT phones. Within a month the thing starting losing parts and getting chipped up. Returned it for another...same thing happed within a week. I have returned it about 4 or 5 times total. When ever it fell apart so bad it looked like crap. I got rid of it a long time ago but wanted to let everyone know. The rubber pads inside would pop off, the screen scratches very easy. The plastic is not one color. Its painted over so it chips off and you have another color. A lot of ATT phones are like that for some reason. Its a nice looking phone and when it came out the only flip with a big screen. But at this point there is no reason to buy it. Unless the newer ones are made better. I will never buy a panasonic again. And to bad becasue they are making a really nice 3G phone for the future. I am using the sprint 7300 phone by the way. Very dependable. Dropped it down stone stair and not one mark. Better reception less radiation (a lot less). but no camera and CDMA connects a little slower then GSM. But the customer service with Sprint and the plans blow ATT at its best out of the water.
3 Worst phone ever.
I traded in my Nokia 8260 for this phone last year and have regretted it ever since. I had great clarity and never any drop calls with my 8260. With this phone, I barely get any reception as it's only a crappy single band phone. Another complaint is the annoying blue light that flashes when you're talking on the phone. Not only is it blinding at night but it draws unwanted attention. The battery life on the phone also sucks as well. It lasts maybe a day on a full charge whereas my Nokia lasted almost 3 days. The camera almost makes a loud noise when used which also gets annoying, even when the phone is on "silent". Another stupid feature is the fact that this phone uses MILITARY time. This is VERY annoying. Honestly, why would you have a phone that only utilizes military time? I've tried finicking through the clock features to get it to read a different time to no avail. The only good thing about this phone is the fact that it has tetris. If you want a crappy phone that has annoying features and drops your calls, this phone is for you.
4 so so
this is a so so phone. not many games to play and the m mode doesnt always work ... it might be my area but i am in another companies tower more than att...
5 Bad phone, Not compatible with new network
I highly advise against the purchase of this phone. I have had many problems with the phone during 1 year of use and the phone does not support all the frequencies on the AT&T network. They are even offering free replacements. I don't know why it's still for sale, Panasonic has also discontinued this model.

Problems:
* very short battery life with a new battery
* battery no longer charges after one year of use
* poor reception
* consistently shows message "Emergency Use Only"
* turns off by itself (while dialing, answering the phone, talking, etc)
* not compatible with most downloadble programs
* poor speakerphone mic

Browse the web and you'll confirm that other users have had the same problems.
6 Lacks 800 MHz support
AT&T started deploying GSM in 800 MHz band and this phone does not support it. As a result you may have bad experience. This is a nice phone but the most important thing in a phone is its ability to give you signal. Go with 800+1900 MHz dual band phones instead.
7 A few bugs
All and all this phone is not so bad. The ring tones are not that great, and the size of the pictures that shows up when sent to a computer are to small. But I guess those are some of the bugs that have to be worked out. I'm waiting for the new and improved version, the GU88,GU89 or the GU90. Hopefully the bugs will be worked out by then.
8 horrible connections
I am happy with this phone for everything except "connection", which is the most important thing. No point having this phone when it gets disconnected at places. You enter a building and the connection bar decreases by one. You enter the next room, and the connection is lost. My friend who is having Nokia has the full connectivity, and mine is "searching for network". it is just horrible!!! I would never ever recommend this phone. It has all the features to attract you(camera, calendar, history, games) except the mandatory feature of good connection.
9 More is not always more
This phone is not user friendly and DO NOT get it with AT&T, I don't know which of the 2 is at fault but the service is horrible! I get an "emergency calls only" message in my own house in the city. I can only get a signal half the time. The camera is nice and the buttons are user friendly but you have to push 5 buttons (as opposed to 2 on my old nokia) to do anything. All the ring tones sound the same..bad. And if you forget to silence your phone and want to do it quietly..to bad. It makes a noise when you want to silence it and no sound when you want the sound on. And the music composer sounds archaic, you can totally tell you made it. Just a few examples of how almost everything about this phone is impractical!!
10 plz sorry to ask my question i do not mean no disrespect
am sorry i have dis phone but i want the melody i do not
know how to get it maybe you send it to my mailbox
thank
you
11 Great Phone
This is a great phone. I've had a few different phones and I like this one the best. The digital camera takes good quality pictures, not as good as an actual digital camera, but not too bad.
I had a digital camera on a previous phone, but it wasnt built in, it had to be attached and the photos had to be transfered to the phone (it took too much work for a few photos) But with this phones built in camera its great, you just take the picture and save it, you can then set it as your wallpaper, email it, or other things.
I really like how you can compose your own ringtones and download ones if you want to.
Concerning the phones size, it is a little on the larger side compared to some other phone, but it doesnt really bother me. The screen is a good size.
I love the game Sheep Herding that comes on the phone. It is so cute, Tetris also comes on the phone, also a good game.
All together, this is a really good phone, I would definitly recommend it to anyone.
12 Buy it! Buy it now....
Great phone! This is the one thing I had on my Christmas list and I am really glad I got it. The digital camera is one of the best I've seen. The phone is user-friendly and it has so many features. I've had many different phones and this one is by far my favorite. It's sleek and extremely useful. (Gotta love the calculator and alarm clock features) I definitely recommend it!
13 This phone sucks...
Well, the only reason I gave this phone one star was because they didn't have a O star rating... It was fine until I bought it, thats when everything went haywire. My girlfriend plugged in the car lighter charger, and was instantly shocked to damn near unconsiousness. Later when I was talking it kept picking up CB radio signals from the highway. The phone sex operator kept asking who that was, and all I could say was: It was my piece of junk phone acting up again. The battery only lasted 3 hours fully charged, and the charger continues to be a shock hazard to myself and others around me. I could go on forever about the crappieness of this phone and it's functions, but theres a 1000 word limit, and now I see why.. Do not buy this phone for the sake and safety of your family and friends. The only reason I'd see to buy this phone, is if you'd like to take part in the class action lawsuit that I'm sure will be filed sometime in the near future.. Good luck, and may god have mercy on the souls of the brave who will buy this phone "suicide with buttons"...
14 Best Phone I've Had
The phone overall is really good you can take really good pictures and send them to your computer, you have mmode on the phone. But sometimes my reception starts craking and pauses at some time, you need the right service to have this phone
15 Very good phone, however...
It's a good phone with lots of features and memory. However, the carriar is ATT. I have other cellphones - Samsung e715 with T-Mobile. The phones are cheaper, smaller and much better. The T-Mobile service is much better. ATT does not unlock my phones whatsoever. T-mobile unlock my phones no question asked. If I had choice, I'd be sure to join T-Mobile and to get Samsung phones with better rebate, better rate plan and better services.
16 Phone is Good. Horrible AT&T Service.
I had great trouble getting this phone from Amazon. But I think most problems
are from AT&T. My phone was not activated when it was received, which
should've been done between Amazon and AT$T. First thing I do is to call customer service
of AT$T,the rep is very impatient, and told me that they
can't deal with this, it's Amazon's problem.
(I felt I should apologize for using his precious time)

Called Amazon, they "started"to sumit the activation for me,
and then waited for 2 days, phone not activated. So I called
Amazon again and asked them if I can call AT$T "myself" to
push them work harder.and it came out to be a very very long
process, I spent hours and hours being transfered from
department to department.AT$T has a very poor customer service structure;
reps are poorly trained.

Amazon's customer service is fast, but I am pretty upset that
they give me a wrong # to call AT&T so that I wasted 5-6
hours on calling.I hope I won't have more trouble with AT&T,
since I am happy with the reception and the phone. The plan
description looks dubious to me, I hope that I won't have any
problem with that for I don't have the luxury
of calling them and get a satisfiying answer without
going nuts.

I used T-mobile for one year. their reps are generally far
more helpful and professional. I just don't understand why
they don't give good deals with Amazon anymore.
(they were the perfect combation half an year ago when I got my
first phone.)

The activation # of AT&T is 1-888-288-4202.(I heard that it's
not uncommon to get an unactivated phone. It takes me great
effort to reach to this point.)

17 AT&T Hopeless service
Phone is good, but AT&T service is very bad and hopeless. Always I get a message 'only emergency calls', it tries to get the signal and no AT&T service. I applied for number portability and I am tired of calling customer service. Even after one week my number was not transferred, then I cancelled AT&T service and returned this phone. My advise is don't take AT & T service.
18 Bad reception and huge.. Do not buy it
Complicated menu, huge size, and bad reception.
I recommend NOT to buy it.

20 Do Not Buy!
I had this phone for 1 month - The phone does not have an active flip! You cannot answer calls with just opening the phone - you have to press a button, very , very annoying.
Bad reception and the camera is a Joke!
Do not buy this phone. I am trying to sell mine on eBay!
21 OK, phone. Kinda buggy
I bought this phone after years with a Nokia. I thought the clam shell design would be better than a small 'all-in-one' and I was right. I did notice a major bug with the phone and that's if the phone is in an area where there is no service (i.e. Yosemite, I used it as an alarm clock) the phone will use all of it's battery trying to get a signal. The phone was dead when I woke up in the morning. Also, if there is no service available, the phone will search for a service. If one is found and you hit the cancel button the phone will be in a state of no service. The only way I can figure out how to accept a service is to power off/on the phone!

Camera is ok. Small pictures. I do like that I can send the pictures via the infrared port from the phone to my computer. No need for the AT&T service.

22 best cellphone I've ever had.....
Camera: The integrated camera is great, the pictures are crisp, and there are a number of fun effects (like negative colors, black & white, or sepia toned pictures) and "frames" for the pictures. At night, the pictures aren't as clear, so take pics in a well-lighted area.

Reception: I haven't had a problem with reception yet. There is always clear service no matter where I go around the island.

Design: This phone is extremely well built, and the hinge is sturdy. It's the thinnest camera phone I've ever seen, although it's a bit "taller" than most other flip phones.

Dislikes: When you assign a picture so you can view it when someone calls, the picture is EXTREMELY tiny. You can't make out who the person is at all. Think the size of your thumbnail (but even smaller).

Overall, I love this phone, and the speakerphone works great. The menu is really nice, and I love the calendar and other features of the phone. Panasonic did an awesome job with this phone. It's also shockingly cheap.

23 Better instant rebate on AT&T Wireless web site.
I just want to mention that AT&T Wireless is offering a much better instant rebate on this phone than Amanzon.com.
I mean much much better rebate!....
24 great phone
after years of my loyal service to nokia, i have decided to switch phones and because of this phones many features, i bought this one. some of the features are very confusing and annoying @ first but thats probably because i used nokia for so long. features such as speakerphone and the camera is very useful but i wish this phone was equipped with tzones so i can access the internet through my service provider (t-mobile). that is my biggest complaint. otherwise this phone's reception is very good but another big problem is that volume is not loud which will force you to use speakerphone most of the time because of the inability to hear the other person.
25 Great features bad reception
This phone has integrated a lot of new technology but completely forgot about applying this type of technology in terms of reception. When you talk on the phone and you talk at the same time the other person is talking it cuts out. I'm positive that this isn't the service because it has happened when i have full service. If i could make any suggestions to future buyers i'd tell them to investigate in getting a motorola or a nokia...i've never had a problem with those phones. One final note: don't switch to GSM till you are forced to because the reception varies a lot especially in the bay area.
26 GREAT PHONE IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SERVICE
I bought this phone a week ago from At&t store and it has been great. Great features, good battery life if you dont play with the camera and games, good reception (in Houston),nice screen and camera. Some people complain about this phone's reception, but I don't think it is the phone, it is the service that lacks reception in the city. However it has a great reception in Houston(full bars most of the time).I love this phone and if you have good service in your area, you will love this phone.
