Panasonic KX-FPG376 Fax Machine

Compras Nikon
Bluetooth
The KX-FPG376 from Panasonic is combination cordless phone and fax machine with both quality and a reasonable price tag. Caller ID and caller IQ compatible, the KX-FPG376 has a modem speed of 14.4 KB per second and comes with a fully integrated digital answering system. The cordless handset utilizes the 2.4 GHz frequency, which provides clearer reception and greater range than phones using older technology, while a broadcasting feature lets you send faxes to multiple numbers without having to reload the original.

Out-of-paper reception of 350 KB (up to 28 pages) ensures that you don't miss important faxes, and the 50 entry phone directory lets you store and easily dial your most important numbers. The 30-page standard paper tray supports letter sized originals, while the automatic document feeder handles up to 10 pages at once. A built-in digital duplex speakerphone provides you with an auditory indication of fax status and enables hands-free operation, while the redial feature lets you easily fax the last dialed number.

The digital answering machine comes with two separate mailboxes to help you organize your messages and has a maximum record time of 18 minutes. A voice time/ date stamp lets you know when each call was received, and a fax/ voice pager call feature can be set to relay caller ID information to your pager when you receive an incoming fax or telephone call. The KX-FPG376 also comes backed with a six-month limited warranty on both parts and labor.

1 Don't judge a book by it's cover - looks nice, poor function
Don't even waste your money on this machine. I bought this machine about a year ago and it's ready for the garbage. When callers call, we can hear them and they can't hear us. As for the faxing/copying function, it now just prints out blank pages, even though the ink film is fairly new. When trying to fax, it always jammed if there was more than one page needing to be transmitted. Also, the ink film doesn't last very long. The only nice thing about this fax machine is the look and the cordless phone w/ caller id. I contacted Panasonic by phone and the recordings kept giving me different phone numbers to call. I emailed them my problem, haven't heard from them. I'm definitely not purchasing Panasonic again.
2 Only good for ultra-light duty
Form factor is very attractive and the phone and answering machine work well, but the fax machine is not good at all. Copies are quite weak, and faxing more than one page guarantees a misfeed. You really have to feed one page at a time to successfully send a multi-page fax.

If you only fax once in a blue moon but want a home fax, consider this system. If your usage pattern is heavier, keep looking.
3 Expensive ink
This machine takes very expensive ink to make it work. It works out to about $0.20 per page. Also, the machine is not that good anyways.
4 picture is not the offered item
the picture shown has no relevance to the item offered and I can find no data on how long on average the film will last before it has to be replaced. Inexpensive machine, expensive ink required to make it work

Quote of the Day:

Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and think what nobody

else has thought.

In the beginning there was only one kind of Mathematician, created by
the Great Mathamatical Spirit form the Book: the Topologist. And they grew to
large numbers and prospered.
One day they looked up in the heavens and desired to reach up as far
as the eye could see. So they set out in building a Mathematical edifice that
was to reach up as far as "up" went. Further and further up they went ...
until one night the edifice collapsed under the weight of paradox.
The following morning saw only rubble where there once was a huge
structure reaching to the heavens. One by one, the Mathematicians climbed
out from under the rubble. It was a miracle that nobody was killed; but when
they began to speak to one another, SUPRISE of all suprises! they could not
understand each other. They all spoke different languages. They all fought
amongst themselves and each went about their own way. To this day the
Topologists remain the original Mathematicians.
