Jack R. Kapoor | Les R. Dlabay | Robert James Hughes
1 Good reading for complete beginners.
In my opinion, Personal Finance by Jack R. Kapoor is appropriate for individuals who are just becoming acquainted with the subject matter. Text is written in a clear and concise style. I read four chapters on investments, stocks, bonds and mutual funds. After completing these chapters you should understand some terminology and have an ability to read financial papers, annual reports and other similar publications. Definitions to concepts are given throughout the book making it a relatively good reference book. If you are a college student and having problems managing your money then this book might be helpful.
2 Great reference in Personal Finance
To make the long story short, when I started to work as a CSR in a bank, I kept this book as a reference on my desk. Before that I tried to ask the branch manager - he didn't have a clue. In the end, I put it in bank's "Better Practices Manual" binder and used it it explain products to the customers.
3 Very interesting
I used this book for an online course that I took from BYU. It was very informative and interesting.
