The sleek, sophisticated finish of this compact bookshelf stereo will impress everyone that enters your home or office. RCA didn't stop at looks, however--the system is packed with a three-CD elevator system, digital AM-FM stereo with 30 station presets, and a cassette deck. You'll also enjoy the convenience of a 27-button remote control, which makes it easy to manage your listening enjoyment from across the room.

The RS2005 includes a three-disc CD changer that plays not only recorded CDs, but home-brewed CD-Rs and CD-RWs, too. A backlit LCD assists with all functions, including CD sequencing (up to 20 tracks). Other features include shuffle and repeat CD play, auto preset radio tuning, mute, and X-Bass low-frequency boost. Clock, sleep, and alarm functions broaden the system's range of uses.

Button labeling on unit is so small they're hard to read. Wattage is just too low -- usually have to play at max volumn with bass boast just to get an average sound level in a small room.

Quote of the Day:

According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are

totally worthless.

No man is an Iland, intire of it selfe; every man is a peece of the
Continent, a part of the maine; if a Clod bee washed away by the Sea,
Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if
a Mannor of thy friends or of thine owne were; any mans death diminishes
me, because I am involved in Mankinde; And therefore never send to know
for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.
-- John Donne, "No Man is an Iland"
