1 Insightfully Funny
I checked this book out of the library to help me during a depression. I'd already watched Loretta's video, "The Joy of Stress" during treadmill workouts and laughed myself silly. Periodically bursting out laughing while reading "Relax--You May Have Only a Few Minutes Left" I decided to buy the book. Loretta's wit and humor are excellent tools to help reframe a negative focus, and to look at things in a more positive light even by accepting the absurdity around us. While Loretta's insights are remarkably simple they are also profound, particularly in the way they inspire change within us. With Loretta's help I've found that laughing is way more fun than whining!
2 A Bore
Loretta is very funny and worth watching on TV. The tapes just don't make it. I have yet (6 mos after purchase) to get through the second one.
3 Hilarious!
I have the audio cassettes and pop them into my car stereo every few months. Loretta Laroche cracks me up! Her sense of humor is wonderful. It's a great thing to listen to when you're stressed out from work, stuck in traffic, or just feeling down. I recommended the book/tapes to all of my friends!
4 WOW -- Hillarious
I never thought to use humor to reduce my stress, especially at work. Her stories of her family and personal events helped me to see all of the funny things that really stressed me out that would fall into the category of "the little stuff." I really enjoyed the anticdotes as well. There was a drawback, there are a few things that she doesn't discuss in detial therefore making it hard to try them, but over all this is a very good book for all of you who are stressed to the max.
5 Tedious and Inconsistent
I didn't find this audio book to be very informative. The anecdotes were out of place and long, and her suggestions were too vague with no recommendations on how to follow them. How do you live as if your glass if full? Who knows? Also, her voice gave me a headache.
6 Hee...hee..heee!
Every Morning show should have a writer like Lorretta...All my imagination would allow me to do, was hear her infectious laugh in my mind after every punchline setting off the real-thing from me. Hey...Even if your dead....this will possibly resussitate you, starting at your funny-bone!
7 A collection of every platitude known to modern man.

8 Terrific reading while traveling through crowded airports
I read this book while flying to Florida at Thanksgiving! One of the absolutely worst times to fly due to crowded airports and oversold flights! It kept me laughing throughout - but also kept me relaxed during what normally would have been a tremendously stressful day. I arrived at my destination relaxed, refreshed and with a terrifically positive outlook! Thanks, Loretta!
9 Incredibly Inspiring
I found this book to be just what I needed to snap out of the anxiety ridden rut I was in. I recommend it to anyone who is feeling sorry for themselves or are taking life too seriously.
10 A lot of fun to read even when she turns serious.
I leave the reviewing to more eloquent readers. All I want to contribute is one short comment: On page 77 of Loretta's otherwise wise book, Dr. Benson's technique of triggering the relaxation response is being praised. Come on, Loretta! If said "invention" had indeed worked beyond filling this guruh's wallet, who would be in need for listening to a bellylaugh - creator like you? I for one had my best laughs when I read this nonsensical comment.

Quote of the Day:

Life is a whim of several billion cells to be you for a while.

I hope you're not pretending to be evil while secretly being good.
That would be dishonest.
