Midway (30045) Road Kill XBX
1 BEST XBOX TITLE !!!!
Roadkill takes some of the best elements from video games, sci-fi action movies, and dark comedy to create one of the best games in my collection.
The plot mixes Road Warrior and the Stand; a deadly plague has apparently wiped out everyone who wasn't completely insane . You are the lone hero fighting car gangs in the post-apocalyptic southwestern USA. In single player you fight through a plotline revolving around control of paradise city, a fascist empire reminiscent of Las Vegas in the Stand.

The gameplay is twisted metal meets grand theft auto, fighting various enemy gang vehicles and foot soldiers from a variety of vehicles you unlock by completing missions and collecting car parts from secret locations. The cars are progressively faster and upgrades are available to perform cool stunts. Firing from the car with a variety of weapons, you can shoot forward with missiles, machine guns, and a flack cannon , or drop mines and bombs then quickly look back to see the results.

Roadkill appears to be ported from the play station 2 to the xbox, so the graphics are on par with the playstation 2, not up to graphics quality of the newest xbox games for sure

The graphics are cartonishly violent and some of the cut scenes are darkly hilarious, as are the various talk radio stations available on the car radio. My favorite was the takeoff on public radio's Cartalk, where the hosts discuss the pros and cons of the various weapons you can pick up in the game,: informative and entertaining .Midway did a great job in every aspect of Roadkill.

2 My inner child has been damaged
Roadkill sets a precedent for being the most violent, tasteless, foul languaged piece of binary entertainment on the market...I love it. This game to summize is "BUST", "CRUNK", "PHAT" and a bag of potatoe chips!

This is Twisted Metal taken to the next level. Graphics on the Xbox are a little granular but gameplay is easy to master and fun. Missions are non-linear, so you can putz around cappin fools before you do some dirty work

Get this game if you want something fresh that will grab you by the poopoo! The best 39.99 I ever spent

3 Better than GTA and Twisted Metal
Road Kill is aweseome, I have GTA and Twisted Metal and I can say that this game beats them both and has better maps and interaction with the world, the missions are cool.

The radio stations and animations between the missions are hilarious and the choice of vehicles you can drive is huge and they respond in a very realistic way.

I rate this game 9/10. It's going to be a big hit.

4 17 hours of complete mayhem
What the f***!!??? This game is NOT for kids and some adults. The language, movies, and missions are incredibly violent and distasteful. I love it!!! I played this game for 17 hours and was amazed at the fast action, side missions, and stunts. The game is like Grand Theft Auto on steroids. The only thing different is that you cannot run around on foot. I don't think you would want to with all the crazy drivers running over everyone and the gangs that open fire on anyone.

In this game you drive a vehicle (car, truck, whatever) that is upgradeable with devastating weapons, nitrous oxide, and other controls that you need to win the game. In some missions you take the back of the vehicle with a mounted machine gun to stop gangs from killing you and your sidekick.

Good graphics, great sound, super concept, and excellent gameplay will keep your palms sweaty for sometime! Get it and keep it!!!

5 A Total Surprise
I first rented this title to see how I would like it. After about five hours, I returned the game to my videostore, marched to EB and bought my own copy. The pitch is that it's a mix of Grand Theft Auto and Twisted Metal and it delivers a perfect mix of the two while integrating enough of its own unique flavor to keep things interesting.

I have to say, I was completely blown away by how deep and well executed this game is. The graphics are outstanding (especially the explosions), the car control is perfect for the type of game it is. The missions are well designed and lots of fun. The cut scenes are hilarious.

I think I'm about two thirds through the single player mission sequences with about 15 hours played so far. That said, there's tons of things for me to still find in the environments outside of the actual missions.

I spent six hours straight playing the multiplayer modes with friends the other night and this has IMMEDIATELY become our favorite multiplayer game. We haven't had this much fun with multiplayer games since Goldeneye back on the N64.

About the only caveat I have is that this is a SUPER mature title. The profanity and gore is off the charts. It is definitely not a title for the kiddies.
