The new 35 series of LCD Flat panel TVs from Samsung provide stunning picture quality in a simple and elegant new cabinet design that's suitable for any setting. Put these TVs almost anywhere - your kitchen, den, or bedroom. With a built-in analog TV tuner and a variety of different video inputs, you can watch TV or video just about wherever you wish. With the 35 series of LCD TVs from Samsung, picture quality is still premium - even if the price is not.
Set it on your desk or mount it on your wall--this is one TV that won't dominate your living room, bedroom, or kitchen with a bulky frame or excessive girth. Samsung's 15-inch LTN1535 flat-panel TV offers a native image resolution of 1024 x 768, enhanced by a high (400:1) contrast ratio, an exceptional peak brightness of 450 candles/square meter, and wide viewing angles. Its lamp life is rated a 60,000 hours for years of entertainment.

The LTN1535's digital comb filter further enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt).

The television sports stereo speakers with 3 watts audio power per channel, as well as five sound modes and five picture modes so you can tailor the sound to your room or program (choose from standard, music, speech, movie, and custom for sound and dynamic, standard, movie, custom, or auto for picture modes).

Samsung’s LCD TV offers precise digital pictures without errors, thanks to its 100% digital mechanism. In addition to stable and digital processing, the LCD TV's constant progressive scan is easy on the eyes. It produces an ultra-stable and smooth image without flickering and guarantees the picture-perfect quality of HDTV. And Samsung uses the enhanced TFT panel-PVA (plus viewing angle) for an improved viewing angle and contrast ratio.

Wide viewing angle
You can enjoy watching TV from a variety of angles and distances--170 degrees horizontally and vertically. Now, every seat is the best seat in the house.

High brightness
Samsung’s LCD TVs are designed to have remarkable brightness. You won't believe your eyes when you see how pictures can be so vividly presented on the screen.

High contrast ratio
The bigger this ratio is, the greater the contrast between black and white. Consequently, a high contrast ratio guarantees an abundant palette of perfect colors. For watching movies or videos with color-rich images, Samsung’s LCD TVs are the perfect choice.

DTV and DVD compatible
LCD TV offers two digital component input slots for DTVs and DVDs. It processes diverse digital signals including 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i, and transmits high-definition pictures.

No radiation or static electricity
We are exposed to electromagnetic radiation from many electronic goods, but LCD TVs emit no harmful radiation. Samsung’s LCD TVs are designed with your safety in mind. And when you clean up the house, how often do you find powdery dust on your TV screen? With Samsung's LCD TVs, you won't have the hassle of wiping dust off the screen because our static-free LCD TVs do not attract dust.

Long lamp life
All LCD TVs are powered by a light source at the back of the screen known as a "lamp." Samsung’s LCD TVs have lamps that last over 60,000 hours. Now you can enjoy this incredible TV longer.

Power saving
Power efficiency is one of the attractive features of LCD TVs. Securing maximum performance, LCD TVs consume the lowest power, two-thirds of that of CRT TVs. Samsung’s LCD TVs are environment-friendly TVs.

Ergonomic GUI and remote control
We've taken even the smallest details into consideration to enhance your convenience. Samsung's LCD TVs come with a smart user interface and remote control.

For connections, the set offers an interlaced (480i) component-video input and one each composite-video, S-video, and standard RF (for older VCRs and cable boxes). A headphone jack allows private listening. Other features include closed captioning, auto channel setup, channel labeling, and a clock with sleep and power-on timers.

What's in the Box
LCD TV, power cord, remote control, remote batteries (two AAA), and user's manual.

1 Buy Samsung at your own RISK
I bought a Samsung flat-panel LCD television in March, and it the panel went dead in April. I brought it to a one of Samsung's certified dealers for repair, and waited and waited. Finally in May, I was told that the the television panel was indeed defective and couldn't be fixed, so the manufacturer was obligated to replace it under the warranty. It's now September, and guess what, I'm still waiting for the replacement. Buy from Samsung at your own risk. From my own experience, Samsung does stand by their products. For a few dollars more, buy one of the better, more reliable brands.
2 TOTALLY AMAZED BY THIS TV
I compared this TV to several other brands before I bought it. The features are nice, the picture quality is really good even with analog signal (regular cable), s-video and component inputs make this TV come ALIVE.

It fits perfectly under my cabinets in my kitchen. The remote looks basic, but has more one-touch features on it than I'll ever need. The menu is easy to follow, it even has a "plug-n-play" setup.

The casing looks sharp, the connections in the back are great and the sound is excellent. It allows you to automatically adjust the sound if you watch a lot of news channels vs. regular tv. I'm real impressed with the quality as this is my first Samsung product I've ever owned.

I look to combine this with a dvd-vcr combo unit and HDTV cable for ultimate viewing. But right now, I'm totally pleased with the reception coming from regular cable.

I'm also looking to see if I can use the TV's speakers as output from my MP3 player since it has multiple inputs in the back...something to discover later.

Quote of the Day:

There was a mad scientist (a mad... social... scientist) who kidnapped

three colleagues, an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician, and locked
each of them in seperate cells with plenty of canned food and water but no
can opener.
A month later, returning, the mad scientist went to the engineer's
cell and found it long empty. The engineer had constructed a can opener from
pocket trash, used aluminum shavings and dried sugar to make an explosive,
and escaped.
The physicist had worked out the angle necessary to knock the lids
off the tin cans by throwing them against the wall. She was developing a good
pitching arm and a new quantum theory.
The mathematician had stacked the unopened cans into a surprising
solution to the kissing problem; his dessicated corpse was propped calmly
against a wall, and this was inscribed on the floor:
Theorem: If I can't open these cans, I'll die.
Proof: assume the opposite...

I THINK MAN INVENTED THE CAR by instinct.
