1 Problem with the Cruzer
I bought a cruzer about 5 months ago. It is no longer working. It is possible that mine was defective to begin with. So I hope others can correct me if I'm wrong.

On the very positive side, the drive is very slim, making it possible to be used on any computer. This is not the case with many other such drives. I had one that was fatter, and it couldn't be inserted in certain computers. The drive worked well when it was working, just like others.

On the negative side, I immediately lost the plastics cap. This didn't seem to be a problem. A more serious problem I had was that when I plugged it into a USB hub, my laptop gave me a message, saying that I didn't have enough power. The USB hub (not a USB II hub) was actually powered, so this didn't make a lot of sense to me. I had to unplug everything from the hub to use it (an external hard drive, Palm charger, scanner), a real pain. The cruuzer finally broke. At first I was able to restore it by banning it hard on a desk (I tried everything else before). It worked only for a few days. Now it is completely gone.

I was told that mine might be defective to begin with. But it is also possible that the lost cap and the flimsy nature of it has limited its life.
2 Great tool
I'm giving this item a 3 versus a 5 simply because of the design of the strp holder built into the Cruzer. It's made of very cheap and thin plastic. If for some reason the Cruzer gets caught by something, which can happen if you have on a key chain or a lanyard around your neck as I wear it. I broke that small piece of plastic after about 2 weeks and I know have it wrapped with a paper clip and scotch taped together to keep it tied to something. Another problem is the cap. It's very easy to lose as I did. They did well by giving you 3 which is not a style stamement but an admission that you WILL lose at least one cap. other than that it's great! I have used this thing on Windows XP, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows 200 Server, Windows Server 2003 and have not run into one case where this little cutie didn't work. be carefull not to leave it in the front USB port on your PC under your desk, because you may bend it as several of my co-workers have done.
3 Really useful
No drives, no software, just plug it in and it works. I use it on a mac, and it is really fast. I just copy my files over, and can carry them around my neck. Easy to plug in a PC also.

Quote of the Day:

One day the King decided that he would force all his subjects to tell the

truth. A gallows was erected in front of the city gates. A herald announced,
"Whoever would enter the city must first answer the truth to a question
which will be put to him." Nasrudin was first in line. The captain of the
guard asked him, "Where are you going? Tell the truth -- the alternative
is death by hanging."
"I am going," said Nasrudin, "to be hanged on that gallows."
"I don't believe you."
"Very well, if I have told a lie, then hang me!"
"But that would make it the truth!"
"Exactly," said Nasrudin, "your truth."

"We're not talking about the same thing," he said. "For you the world is
weird because if you're not bored with it you're at odds with it. For me
the world is weird because it is stupendous, awesome, mysterious,
unfathomable; my interest has been to convince you that you must accept
responsibility for being here, in this marvelous world, in this marvelous
desert, in this marvelous time. I wanted to convince you that you must
learn to make every act count, since you are going to be here for only a
short while, in fact, too short for witnessing all the marvels of it."
