1 Nice idea, but...
I think this is a great premise for a kitchen that is low on counterspace. But, it does not have a very powerful microwave (650 watts). My biggest problem is with the heating element for toasting/broiling. It is a wire "spring" encased in a glass tube. The tube on mine broke after barely being tapped. Not a good design. It was therefore rendered unusable and had to be returned. I suggest the Sanyo EM-Z2100GS instead. It has the same features, but higher wattage and a more protected toasting element.

THIS PRODUCT IS IDEAL FOR THE PERSON LIMITED ON SPACE AND STILL WANTS ACCESS TO A TOASTER OVEN AND MICROWAVE. IT'S NOT AS FAST AT HEATING AND TOASTING AS BIGGER MICROWAVES. LETS REMEMBER, IT IS A COMPACT MODEL. BUT IT STILL FUNCTIONS VERY NICELY FOR A SMALLER MODEL MICROWAVE AND IT COMES WITH SOME GREAT FEATURES FOR THE PRICE. I AM STILL ENJOYING MINE ALMOST 2YRS LATER
3 It Takes 6 minutes to toast 1 slice
Bought it today and returning it tommorow, I am glad we bought it where we live (no freight). 6 minutes to toast 1 slice and then a cooling fan runs for another 5 minutes.
4 Perfect for a small kitchen!
My old toaster didn't toast evenly and my old microwave took too long; together they took up more than twice the space this oven does. Switching out the trays is easier than I hoped it would be, and the toasting tray actually rotates for perfect toasting! The microwave won't heat as fast as a full size, but the features are better than you usually get with a lower wattage. Make sure you run the toaster for a while to burn off all the chemicals before you use it to cook anything. It does toast top and bottom. The only annoyance I have found is that you can't set exact times in increments of anything but a minute. I did a lot of research before purchasing this for my tiny studio apartment, and I believe I made the best choice possible.
5 THE WORST - IT'S FASTER TO USE THE STOVE!!
I have been using Microwaves since they first came out many many years ago and this is the worst microwave I have ever come across! In most microwaves it took 40 to 50 seconds to warm 10 oz. of milk this would take atleast 2 minutes in this one, Nevermind a frozen meal it might be quicker to get on the highway travel 30 miles and pickup a meal! It doesn't even deserve one star!
6 Warm and Crappy
This was a great idea, and a space saver but its a piece of junk. It takes 3 times as lond to toast or bake anything. And you can't even make microwave popcorn without burning it b/c of the low wattage. Don't even waste your time.
7 So far, so good
I've had this item for about a month and I'm pretty happy with it. I haven't had the tray tipping problem that another reviewer mentioned but I don't use it for cooking anything large or intricate. I use the microwave mainly for thawing and reheating and it works like a charm. The toaster takes a little bit longer than a stand alone toaster but it toasts evenly and if you're not in a hurry, it's not a problem.
The top of the unit gets hot and a fan blows warm air from the back when the toaster is on I wouldn't put it in a tight space.
8 Awful
This microwave/oven/toaster is great if you want to heat water for tea.
Otherwise, it takes about 13 minutes to adequately toast a single bagel.
The oven has 4 temperature settings ranging up to 400 degrees. If you want to bake at 425 degrees you are out of luck.
It looks pretty and the 3-in-one idea is great, but this unit is one to avoid.
9 Dangerous turntable, poor quality overall
The turntable platter is only supported by a center spoke. There are no supports around the edge of the revolving platter. The platter tips and wobbles with all but the lightest items. I was cooking a large bowl of vegetables and when I tried to remove them, the turntable platter and the bowl of hot veggies tipped towards me, the platter itself slid forward out of the microwave, and I got burnt. For this reason alone it is a dangerous item. Also, the dial knob feels like its make out of cheap plastic and could break off without much force. The turning motion of the knob is rough. Spend more and get a better unit - that's my opinion. It's going back to Wal Mart.
10 Attractive space saver, though slow to toast
In the aesthetics department this item is top notch for anyone going for a stainless steel look in their kitchen. Brushed steel on front, with a black glass window - black metal on sides. Surprisingly, this is more important that I would have thought.
It microwaves well, though at 650W. The controls are convienent, and fast - with a single "one minute" button to save time on reheats. Seems to cook very evenly.
A nice function is the ability to turn the sound off completely - ridding your home of one source of beeps and chirps.
The oven works well for cooking. The toaster works surprisingly well, but it takes close to 3 minutes for a slice of bread. In the toast department, I'd recommend a stand-alone drop-in style toaster.
You can combine cooking and microwaving in steps (thaw then cook, not both at once).
