Design The TM150 sticks with the traditional clamshell design, but adds a stylish, colored exterior and, as well as a supplementary 64 x 96 color screen that can display photos, images, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The 1+ megapixel (858 x 1144) camera unit housed just above this display. Inside the front cover, you'll find a massive QVGA color screen with 240 x 320 resolution and support for 262,000 colors. A standard 2.5mm headset jack is provided, and a multi-directional selection button controls most of the phone's user-friendly menus and options. There's also a slot for an SD memory card -- great for storing all those photos and videos you'll be taking -- as well as a USB-compatible connector port for data connectivity with your PC or other device.
Calling Features
The TM150's phone book can hold up to 500 contacts with multiple entries per contact. The phone features built-in polyphonic and music ringtones and more ringtones can also be downloaded from T-Mobile's t-zones service. Pictures of your friends (or enemies) can used as caller ID alerts, or you can set ringers to coincide with certain callers. Speed dialing can be programmed so you're always one button away from your most important numbers. Plus, for those times you want to keep things discreet, there's a vibrate ringer mode. Like other T-Mobile phones, the TM150 supports voicemail, caller ID, conference calling, call forwarding, call waiting, call hold, built-in paging, and access to T-Mobile's "411 And More" service.
Messaging, Internet and Tools
The TM150 is a powerful mobile messaging tool. Support is built in for sending and receiving text, pictures, video and sound via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. There's also a built-in email client with support for your POP3-based accounts and SMTP outgoing mail authentication. T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.
Getting on the Internet is easy with the TM150, too. Use the phone to access T-Mobile's t-zones service, which lets you receive and send emails, read news headlines, get sports scores, download games and ringtones, and more. A number of handy software tools are bundled with the TM150 including a voice memo recorder, a calculator with currency converter, a calendar, and an alarm clock with a countdown timer. And because the phone supports the PC Sync protocol, you can use its USB data connectivity to synchronize your calendars, contacts and other data with your PC.
Imaging and Entertainment
With the TM150's megapixel camera, you can capture high-resolution images wherever you roam. There's also a digital zoom for getting shots from far away. Other camera features include a self-timer, a multi-shot mode, a night mode, and macro functions. While the camera is great for stills, it can also capture videos up to 15 seconds in length.
Java application and gaming support is also built into the TM150. Many games and applications can be downloaded from the t-zones service. The phone also features customizable wallpapers and screensavers.

1 GPS & $29.99 contract/ Weak Battery, Expensive Software
I have had the Sharp T-Mobile 150 for a month. The phone's screen is brilliant and reception in major urban areas indoors and in one's home is good. But the volume cannot be increased enough to hear whomever you called while walking on a busy street with trucks, taxi cabs, etc. Guess I need to use the earphones or get a hearing aid! I love the $29.99 for 300 minutes one-year contract (2-year contract not required), the rebate, the size and low weight of the TM-150. However, I tested the battery. The 750mah battery has an actual stand-by time of about 22 hours, and talk time of less than two hours. Sharp should have made a stronger battery for this phone, in my opinion. If you can talk for two or three hours on the go to one person, get a different phone. I have had to buy two extra batteries, and have to make sure they are fully charged when I go for a walk, out in the city to take urban photographs, etc. Additionally, the software and cable which allow you to manage "My Contacts" and other features costs $51.95 plus S/H on T-Mobile.com. If the battery were better, I would rate the phone at 5 stars.
2 Great display and I/O features
Pros: This phone has a great display - it is large and high-color. It takes great pics (858x1144) - although it's not going to replace a "real" camera, it blows away other phone cameras I've seen. Connectivity via the memory card makes copying images and ringtones very easy; I assume using a USB cable (not supplied) works equally well.* It can be configured to show a calendar on the screen (although some people will find the font impossible to read). All ports have rubber plug-thingies to prevent dirt, etc. from plugging holes. The navigation pad is nice. Sound quality is good. Analog clock on outer display is handy. Several messaging options. Web navigation actually worked.
Cons: The metallic blue-green color isn't my cup of tea. The silver buttons seem a bit cheapo-flashy to me. The menu organization is a bit strange; for example I haven't figured out how to *easily* change the ring volume (you've got to click through several menus to "Personalize" the current profile. Also too many default options launch you into T-Zones (for example: Why should the default location for browsing pictures be the T-Zones based "My Album" rather than the phone memory? Why is the default action after taking a picture to email it, rather than save it? Answer: becasue they want to make money from T-Zones) .
Also, as many have pointed out: no alarm reminders tied directly to appointments, although it does give you 5 configurable alarms.
Still, for the price I think this is an excellent buy. Highly recommended.
* Get the free apps Audacity (open-source from SourceForge) and WSCMA2 (from Yamaha) and you can convert MP3 files (and others) to the MMF format to make your own ringtones.
3 Amazon, shipping too slooooow.
I ordered this phone in March, i waited for 2 weeks..then nothing. When i checked online it was bumped by a week...then i cancelled it... www.buy.com offered the same deal, with faster shipping.
4 Shipping sucks. Phone svc charge started from ship date.
Haven't got the phone yet but the 1 star is for the shipping.
Ordered 2 phones on Monday, the phone was not shipped "within 24 hours" cuz Amazon said I chose the "FREE Super Saver Shipping". Then Amazon used USPS and I did not get the phone until Tuesday the next week. That's more than a week from the date the order was made. T-Mobile starts charging the cell phone service from Wednesday when the phone left the warehouse. Ended up paying cell phone service when the phone is not even activated.
The shipping experience sucks. Should never believe "usually shipped within 24 hours" if you choose the free shipping. Be ready to pay extra $ for the days you haven't even received the phone.
5 Sharp TM150 cell phone
I received my Sharp TM150 late last week and think it is a great phone, especially as it was free! Being from England, I am used to seeing Sharp cell phones about and was surprised that this is the first, and as yet only, Sharp cell phone available in the USA. Because I was familar with Sharp, I wasn't too concerned regarding their quality despite never owning one myself. The only concern is lack of accessories and such availble in the USA.
I have read a lot of the reviews, both bad and good, and wanted to voice my views. Firstly, though the sound of the ringers does seem surprisingly muffled when the microphone is covered, it only seems that way as it is so loud to start with. Also, it only seems this way when using downloaded ringtones, which is the case with most makes of phones to some extent.
Another criticism that I didn't understand was the menu. Many say this is complicated but I found it simple to use - so much so that I didn't need my manual by me to figure it out. It made sense on the whole and the 'areas' of the menu made it easy to find what you wanted.
With regards to it automatically opening when you open the phone...this is not a set feature. I turned this option off quite easily and now can open it without it answering if I so choose.
The ringtones are decent quality and I find I have a good selection. The only downside is that if you set vibrate to match the sound, the vibrate on a couple is very weak due to tempo of the tone. I prefer the vibrate to match the tone so I simple chose a tone that had a strong sound as well as vibrate in cases I may miss the sounds.
The only thing which does irritate me, which may be a T Mobile issue rather than the phone, is that when in the T-zone you cannot preview the wallpapers or sounds if you wanted without downloading. I was a bit narked that you couldnt 'try before you buy'. Also, for some reason my plan won't allow me to download games - the one thing I wanted to actually download - as my plan does not support that (again T Mobile not the phone).
Overall I am, as yet pleased with the phone. The camera is great and the screen is amazing - the best I have ever seen or had. I'd say this phone is perfect for those who like gadgets but want a phone which is easy to use and has decent specs. If you, like me, don't require bluetooth but want all the perks of a modern phone style, this is a great choice!
6 I love it! But a couple of things...
This phone is definitely the best designed phone I've seen on the American market. It's really really fantastic, and the screen is gorgeous. It's a flip phone, which I've always preferred. The camera takes excellent pictures. Sound quality is excellent, and I'm getting great reception as well...better I've had on Cingular/AT&T. It fits well in the hand, feels really solid, and makes a nice solid "click" sound when you open and close it. It's a piece of art.
My only complaints:
1. The operating system is not at all intuitive. It's actually very confusing the first time you sit down to try and customize this phone. Luckily, with practice and reading the manual, I've figured a lot out, and it's getting faster to get through the menus. It's also not quite as customizable as one might like.
2. Of course, it would be better with Bluetooth. But we all know it doesn't have it, so if you bought it expecting Bluetooth, that's your own fault.
3. Lack of a decent planner. Every cell phone I've had for the last 6 years has had at least a planner where you could input birthdays and appointments, and set an alarm to remind you--this one doesn't have it. It does have a calendar, and room for three notes per day, but no alarms...sort of disappointing, since my cell phone is generally how I run my life.
STILL...overall this phone is fantastic. I'm hoping Sharp adds a few more extras and T-Mobile carries another nice flip phone from them sometimes soon down the road.
7 ok phone for the current price
I was scared about taking this phone, but it is pretty cheap at the moment and so I got one. It is not a bad phone. I was drawn to it because of the camera and it does have the best camera that I have seen till date. I had an E 715(samsung). the camera and the screen on Sharp are much better than the Samsung and unlike the samsung that needed pic messages to transfer pics, sharp has SD card to do this cheaper. It is light weight and the battery power is comperable(day and a half with normal talking and a pic or two).
*The SD card is really a good feature with easy transfer to the computer, and since the pictures are nice you would want to take more pics and keep them.
*Ringer volume is fine, or so I think. Not had much of a problem with that.
*Ear piece volume is a little lower but then it is a question of keeping the earphone in the right place to hear well,ie., dont place the screen on the ear and think you are gonna hear better.
ringtones are bad, but then only nokia gives decent ring tones, rest are all the same. Just a question of getting used to it or downloading new ones.
Things that I dont like about the phone:
*The organizer is not the best- you cannot arrange alarms with the organzer and the alarm can only be set for the next day, this is a basic feature that every phone has and I heavily depend on it( no reminders given just a calender where you can write things and you have to remember to look it up!!!) so if you have a friend's b'day you better remember it, coz your phone cannot help. Add to this the fact that there are no applications that you can find on the net to upgrade the organizer because it is not the most popular model.
*It does not have any games preloaded!!!!! and there are no games available as far as I can see. If anyone knows a place, do let me know;)
*blue tooth and speaker phones are not an issue as i dont need them.MP3 player would be good. I just hope that we start getting applications on the net for the organizer and games.
buy this phone only if you like shooting a lot of pictures, else this is a bad buy.
8 3 letter, one word....WOW! (and an exclamation mark)
What's not to love about this phone? I read the reviews, good and bad and thought i'd check it out. Once you see the screen and the pictures it takes you're sold. This screen is so big and sharp as a television screen. Easy to use, and easy to customize. I went from a Motorola V600 to this and i'm happy with the move. The ringer seems to be an issue with people, and they have a point, very few ringer choices (as far as normal ringer sounds go), and very few wallpapers too(actually not one single T-Mobile wallpaper!!) what's that all about. BUt once I got the USB/CD kit it all fixed, I uploaded 35 ringers allready and 15 class wallpapers...with plenty of room for more. My problem now is that my new ringers are too loud! The fact that you can upload pics on your computer and use them as wallpapers on the phone is amazing!
No Bluetooth, no voice dial and no speakerphone...no big deal. I had them all on my V600 and never/rarely used them. The call quality is exceptional, and the phone looks pretty damn cool.
9 ALL IS GREAT, EXCEPT FOR...
the handset's ringer volume. I agree that it has great features and personalization, but the HUUUUUUGE letdown here is it's ringer volume. Why didn't T-Mobile let their "valued customers" in on this secret? I spoke with a T-Mobile representative earlier today on this matter and for the life of him, he had NO answer nor any "previous knowledge" of this mishap. Another thing I've noticed was both the Amazon.com and T-Mobile.com list prices for this phone dropped DRAMATICALLY over the past 2-4 months. Compared to when this product first debuted, it was listed for a ludicrous $349.99. Now you may be asking yourselves, "why the sudden decrease in price?" Could it possibly be because many people returned it with much frustration and dissapointment?? Folks, save your money because this phone isn't even worth the hassle you'll experience. I'm seriously thinking of leaving T-Mobile soon. >_< Not only do the have many problems with handsets, but their customer service is also poor.
10 Ok but not great
I like this phone a lot but there is lots of negative things about it
1. VOLUME I miss almost every single phone call I get because if you have the phone in your pocket you wont hear it even on the laudest setting I dont even bother turning it on silent when Im in school because If I cant here it my teachers cant eather
2. The Camera picture quality is amazing but the refresh rate on the screen is way to slow to make it usable for any good pictures
3. Battery life when you only receive one call a day the battery will last a week if you use it a lot you have to recharge once or twice a day I actually carry my phone charger around with me everywhere I go.
4. The antenna is horrible the old nokias with the internal antenna get two bars in my living room where this phone gets none
5. if you hit buttons to quick the phone shuts of and turns itself back on I have this happen atleast three times a day when Im writting text messages.
I have had this phone since october and I wish I had not spent the $100 on it that it cost me after the rebate I would never ever advise anyone to buy this phone in my opinion it is best used as a paper weight.
11 Great Phone
This phone is so cool! The First thing i have to say about it is the camera...OMG it is so good. When i got the phone, i knew it was gonna be good (cause come on, its a megapixel) but when i actually took a picture i almost died becasue the camera was exceptional. i am very excited to print them. My second thing is the screen, omg it so bright and extremely sharp its better than my computer screen. Also, i like the size of the phone its not girly small and i like the solid clicking of the hinge when opened and shut. The outside screen ahs a nice 65000 color resolution. Also the HiFiRingers are so gooooood quality wise but they are so short! but if u look hard enough u can find some long ones!Service is great and the call connection is easy and from the other side sounds crystal clear. Overall its such a good phone...i would reccomend it to anyone.
12 Very Nice Phone
I've haven't had my Sharp TM 150 phone for long but so far it's been an overall aswesome phone. I don't understand why people are complaining about no bluetooth, no speaker phone, and so forth, it's no surprise, you know that prior to purchasing the phone (If you want those features, this may not be the phone for you). However I do agree with everyone who has said that the volume on the phone is a bit hard to work with. If you are in a quiet room, all is well, but once in a loud environment this phone has not proved itself to be as resourceful as other phones. The headpiece that came with my phone works fairly well when i find myself not being able to hear people using the actual phone, so there is a way to compensate for that. (note: the headpiece actually seems louder than the phone itself) The phone has a nice elegant look to it and has a wonderful camera. For a camera phone, the features are great, but realize it isn't a digital camera so ofcourse, you're not going to get pictures comparable to top digicams. The video feature on this phone isnt good nor is it bad...its whatevers but for me its a fun little thing to play with, I actually don't care for that feature. Make sure to handle your phone with care and you should be fine. And also, if anyone says that the phone has bad reception, it isnt the phone, its the service provider..That needs to be cleared.
13 Its better than nothing...... I guess!
This is the complicated subject, because on one side you have a cool camera phone... yet on the otherside you have a not-so-cool phone.
We all know the features of this phone, but the things they dont tell you is that the ringtones are poor, the volume of the phone is horrible, the fact that the TM150 is the only Sharp phone in the US, so you can not find extras anywhere, doesn't help.
Plus, the battery life is bad, the inter-workings are frustrating, and the video clips are just sad.
........ but other than that its and OK phone!
14 not so very...
Bads first - as of January 2005 the Sharp phone has no customer service support. Sharp does not have any info about the phone and neither does T-Mobile, to whom you are referred. Since my TM150 arrived with a bad SD card, and it took some time to figure this out, lack of support was a major annoyance. Also miss Bluetooth for quick cordless no fuss transfer of images.
I am a photographer and use my camera phone to take pictures a LOT. This one takes great pics but was a little tricky to use at first-very sensitive to movement as others have noted. Settings for night and day don't do much, but the digital zoom is pretty good, and a feature I have wanted. I have done photo shows of phone pics from my old Nokia, and will certainly use some from the Sharp next show. Being so interested in the photo quality was what caused me to purchase this phone.
The phone features are not incedental, however, as this is my main contact with the rest of the planet. Service from T-Mobile is uniformly very very good in the Minneapolis area (and in the Brooklyn/Manhattan locations as well). The phone features of the Sharp are good, the lovely bright screen is a big plus, and the dial pad is nice to use. The signal may be a little weak in large buildings but is generally good. The spacey little "ka-ching" I have for a ringtone sounds like the swordplay tone for the Zelda games-brings back pleasant memories. And when you snap the case closed, its like closing the door on a classic car - a nice solid sound. With customer service it would be 4 stars.
15 visual butno leisure..
reception is nightmare..and volume for incoming call is very low..no refer..for other gadgets equalence to other ordinary cell phones.
16 Not at all what I expected
Likes: Nice screen resolution, sd card, good camera, nice looking phone.
Dislikes: Battery life is HORRIBLE, I'm lucky to go a day without charging!! Volume for ringer and for ear piece is low, very hard to hear, especially in public. Menu seems almost ancient. The flip phone is not even an "active" flip phone. Phone is kinda bulky.
All in all the phone is nice looking but once you break it down to a functioning phone in my opinion it isn't very good. I would suggest putting the money towards the purchase of a nice digital camera and just purchase a good working phone.
17 BEAUTIFUL SCREEN GREAT RESOLUTION
Bad Points
No bluetooth. No speakerphone . No MP3 player.Horrible video recording .Big bulky phone. No 3D gaming (midp 1.0)
Good Points
262k bright QGVA screen, Very nice pictures . Sd card for additional storage .Large display . Super fast wap browser .
18 It's an OK phone
I purchaced this phone because I thought it would be as good as any phone I had previously owned plus would have one of the best camera (1.1 megapixel) available on a phone. THat fact of the matter is that in incorporating two devices into one, they both become a little more complicated.
PROS: looks good,
-decent volume;
-can adjust earpiece volume right on phone during a call;
-fairly versitile features and customizations;
-"OK" camera (good for close up things, and daylight group pics)
-FAST battery charge time... though I assume other phones are comprable
-buttons are just slightly raised, not as much as they could be but they are nicer than other phones.
-large bright screen
-reception is a crappy as every other company I've went through... done' even bother paying attention to what people say about reception, it's just luck/ where you live; at work I can go into a walk in freezer in the basement and get perfect reception, at home I have to be right by a window and I can't walk through the middle of my house.
CONS:
-when looking through contacts list, I can't use the side volume button to "page" up or down (annoying) ;
-the side button also can't be set to adjust rign volume ( you have to goe into menu > profiles > personalize > ring volume, sorta bothersome) you can atleast put it on silent profile with only 2-3 key strokes;
-rign tones it comes with suck (perhaps to get you to but them for $2)
-with it's clamshell flip design and integrated camera, it's top
heavy, thus it's hard to hold/balance in your hand and hit the lower right keys with your thumb
-no speaker phone
camera: no led flash, thus night pics, even in night mode aren't the greatest, moving things tend to be blurry, the camera seems to create a greater contrast than actually exists (maybe this is normal for a dig camera?) meaning, if photographing a face, shinnyness on the nose and cheecks (for example) will appear more shinny in the picture than to your eye; also it doesn't take a very good picture of a sunset, it really fails to pic up the warm tones ( reds, oranges, yellows); Oddly enough it takes a great picture of a photograph. meaning if you get out your 35mm camera and snap a pic of a sunset and then photograph the picture with your phone... the result is really great.
All in all it was worth a hundred bucks but given the chance to buy it again, I would opt for a phone with out a camera on it.... like one of the ones that gives you enough money in (...) that you actually make money, the I would buy an inexpensive digital camera... However I'm sure that that camera phones will be up to par in the next year or so.
19 Better in some ways that expected, not in some ways...
This is my first review, but I thought I would speak up on my feelings about this phone. Ok, so I am really pleased with the appearance of this phone. I thought it might be kind of weird looking, but since I received it, I am glad I bought it. It is definetely different from other phones, so people will for sure notice it and want to play with it. The phone is a good size, and I don't really think it is noticeable big. Ok, so I am going to go through and do my pros and cons for this phone:
Cons first:
--Unless it is a setting I have missed, when you close the phone and open it, it is still at the same spot when you closed it (eg. if I am looking at Bill's number, then I close the phone, when I open it again, Bill's number will still be displaying, rather than going back to the main screen like most do)
--Probably most annoying, you have to have another entry for a person if they have more than one number. This was one of the main reasons I avoided the MotoV600...unless I am doing something wrong here.
--Green backlight isn't the prettiest.
--Opening up the megapixel pics can take up to 6-7 secs. sometimes.
--Lack of Bluetooth and speaker phone (not much an issue for me, but could be for others)
--I would love to have MP3 capabilites, especially since we got the Secure Digital card where we can easily load things on to it
And now, the pros:
--Very attractive looking phone
--Sturdiest-feeling phone I have ever owned
--Interface is pretty quick, and menu options are the best I ever seen on a phone.
--The way it displays the contacts when searching through is great because it shows you the name of everyone, then as you highlight the name, it shows you their number at the bottom
--Screen is just awesome, fonts are nice and clear. Everything is very easy to read.
--Camera is just awesome as well. You just have to see it. I have a pic as my background, and I promise everytime someone opens it, they say "wow, that is a good picture"...it never fails
--Having a Secure Digital card is so convenient. You can hold over 130 pics just on the 32MB card that comes with it. So you can buy a bigger card and hold over 1000! It is so convenient to take a pic then pop the card into my laptop card reader and have it there for display. I love this feature!
--Eight (yes, 8!) customizable shortcuts. I love this feature as well. You can go straight to where you want to go in so many different ways.
--Phone keys are very standard and simple. They are not too close to each other and they seem very practical.
Ok, that is all I can think of for now. This is a great phone, and my friends love it, and you cannot beat Amazon's price A/R. I don't think you will be disatisfied with it as long as you don't need Bluetooth or Speakerphone, but if you have a SD card reader, you will want to use it more than you would Bluetooth anyway for data transfer.
20 Simply Wonderful
I have been looking for a camera phone to replace my ageing 6800 with and I have found the best one for me.
*Pros*
Reception - It's great. Not one dropped call in the last month.
Camera - Amazing! It is great to be able to pop out the SD card and pop it into a Digital printer at the local Walgreens and get pics worth framing. I love it.
Screen - Even better than the Toshiba VM4050 for Spring or Audiovox 9950 for Verizon. The resolution and clarity make this screen truly beautiful. Like looking into a window to another world.
Size - Have large hands I actually like the size of the phone. The flip angle is perfect and the phone still fits into my pocket well without much "phone bulge".
User interface - It's a bit tricky to get used to, but I have managed fairly quickly.
Unique - Not many people have a Sharp phone in the US and people often as me about it.
Sound quality - Calls sound crisp and clear. As good as the best from other manufacturers.
*Cons*
I really wish the blue on the front of the phone was a removable custom plate. Not a big issue though. I think the phone looks pretty good over all.
Green LED back lighting is dreadful, but illuminates the keypad well.
Unique - Very few accessories are available for this phone. Leather case, car charger, data kit. That's all I can find.
**Overall**
I am very happy with this phone and look forward to using it more. I have no use for Bluetooth or a speakerphone so this phone is for me!
21 CCD camera
This phone overall is excellent!
Best camera phone because of CCD sensor; better image quality then the CMOS sensor.
Bright Clear Screen the best I've seen.
Reception is excellent in my area.
22 Great stuff - expected a bit more
I was using the Nokia 3360 (yeah, the digital brick) and since its battery was dying and ATT's reception was not so great around my house, I decided to get a new phone with a new plan. I found out T-mobile had the best reception around my area (LA / San Bernadino, CA), so I decided to go with T-mobile. And after some research I found out about this phone and I knew it was the thing for me.
The best thing about this phone for me is the SD card slot ( btw SanDisk 32mb card included w/phone :] ) I can just use the card to transfer all my images, music, and video to and from the computer. It also has a huge internal LCD display and a small external display. The internal display probably has the best quality out of all cell phones out in the US (most have 65k colors while this one has 262k). You can set your own images on the external display and can choose between digital and analog clock in 4 different styles.
As for the phone design, I think its key layouts were very nicely done, and I have no problem navigating. The only thing that bugs me there is the pink T-Zone button thats right in the middle of the phone, which I think is unnecessary and ugly. As for the navigation on this phone is simple and easy to use (but the complex settings are hard to find), and it gives you the option to rearrange the shortcut keys. I don't know if this is a good thing or not but the phone is a bit heavy. I don't really mind since the weight tells me that the phone is actually in my pocket.
The reception on this phone is over all good, its either at full bar or no bar. Its usually at 0~1 bar inside big buildings (but usually full bar at home), but I blame T-mobile for that since they only support 1900Mhz GPRS which suck at penetrating walls.
Though this phone was over all good, I did find some flaws. Biggest flaw was the 1.1 megapixel camera. The quality and the resolution is great but when I move the camera around it takes a while for the camera to catch up and causes it to blurr, and same goes for its video which can only go upto 15seconds.
Another big flaw was that the phone only accepts MIDI and WAV that are less than 48kb so I was forced to edit and cut my MIDI files down to 48kb (To edit MIDI files I recommend Anvil Studio). And as for WAV, dont expect to put anything thats over 10seconds because chances are, thwy won't be less than 48kb.
OH and btw, no MP3 support. It also lacks the bluetooth support. And finally we have the phone's color, there is no color variation! Not sure if sky blue is the best color for guys, sure looks nice with girls but its a bit iffy with guys.
Even after all the bashing I still encourage people to buy the phone; the MIDI sounds good and the camera is useful when around friends. I can hear people's voices clearly, so it works good as a phone, and once you get used to this LCD you can't go back to the older phones!
23 This is THE camera phone to have.
When I saw this phone available with a 1.1 megapixel camera on it, I was impressed. But I thought, meh, I wouldn't spend so much just for a slightly higher resolution (and resolution does NOT necessarily equal picture quality).
But then I saw that it had an SD card slot. Now that perked my interest. This phone is expandable up to 512 megabytes. The phone I currently had at the time was a Samsung E715, and while it took pictures just fine, it was useless in that you had to spend money just to send one picture at a time to email. And So I gave the Tm150 a try...
First off, the phone is rather big for this day and age. Not that its anything huge, but it was about an inch bigger than my E715. It didn't weigh anymore (actually it may even weigh less, both with batteries). Flipping it open, you are greeted with an absolutely huge and gorgeous display. Slid in the memory card provided (32 mb = ~150 1.1 mp Fine pictures)and started snapping pics. The write speed to SD was a bit slow (5-10 seconds on average) at 1.1 megapixel. But quickened as you lower the resolution. The pictures taken were great. I've never seen a phone able to get so much detail and clarity.
Slid out my SD and put it into my Inspiron 700M. View Slideshow option popped up instantly, and bam, there I fell in love. The quality was great, the pictures were big, and it was super convenient to transfer pics from phone - computer.
Now, if your like me, and have those moments in your life when you wished you could take a picture, and since you will almost always have a phone with you, THIS is it. Great pic quality, storage, ability to easily transfer/print into your computer.
The call options and call quality do not differ much from my E715. Very clear calls, reception was no different. Menus are easy to access and there are "profiles" for ring/vibrate mode with lots of ringers/polyphonic to please.
Overall, this is THE phone for me. My next upgrade will be when they come out with 2 megapixel w/ an SD card (support for faster write speed), but until the technology comes around, this is the best and it is actually the most useful camera / phone slash camera/phone you can get. I'm can't live without it.

Does anyone know how the reception is on this phone? I know it is dependent on the area of service but I know my Nokia brick gets the best reception in comparison to these nice flip phones. How about voice clarity? Thanks!!!
25 Very high-resolution screen, megapixel camera
The new Sharp flip phone for T-Mobile is a little too big as a compact cell phone, but it's packed with very high-end features -- all for an affordable price. I was blown away by the high-definition main LCD, which is very bright and very sharp. The built-in megapixel camera takes the BEST cell phone pictures I've ever seen. The Sharp also sports good voice clarity and a very usable keypad, unlike the phones with strange keypads from Nokia and Samsang. The Sharp is a very sweet phone and Amazon is making it very affordable. So if you want a great cell phone with enhanced features, this is the one.
26 Great pictures, awesome phone
When I saw this phone in the shop it just looked so different to everything else out there, and the fact that it had a megapixel camera and SD card slot just blew me away. But to be honest, those things pale in comparison to the screen. You have never seen a screen as good as this ever! I can honestly say that I take pictures with this phone and when I show them to people, they say that it is the best picture they have ever seen of themselves. That's impressive. Sharp have those Aquos TV's and although I'd like one of those too, I can afford one but this phone's screen carries on the quality. Try to get a look at the screen in a shop and you'll see what I mean.
The camera is very good for a cameraphone. I took photos at a wedding and the ones outdoors were excellent, good color, clear and easily print quality. Indoors I had mixed results, some were fine but others were blurred, probably because it was really too dark to shoot.
The phone itself works fine with good sound, although I had to download a ringtone or three to get something I liked. The built in "old-fashioned phone" ring is quite loud but I got one of the HiFi ringers from T-Mobile (AC/DC Back in Black) instead. Yeah!
It's a bigger phone than my previous one (a Nokia) but that's actually quite good in the car for dialing and it's a flip that I like. It could do with a little more volume during a call but it's acceptable.
The battery lasts about 4 days easily with standard use, (a few phone calls, a picture or two) but when I took a lot of photos at the wedding it only lasted two and a half.
The SD card is cool, I use it a lot to put my photos onto my PC and I don't use the internal memory at all really. I've also got a 512MB SanDisk Ultra II card that I stuck in. When you're in the camera mode it shows you how many photos are left on the memory and in small size mode I can apparently save more than 20,000! I wonder if it could really do that!
I don't use it for business so I can't comment on the PIM but it looks quite simple. The wallpaper calendar function is really cool though. It shows 2 months of calandar on top of the wallpaper and really shows off how high the resolution is on the screen.
I've played around with the web browser on it. It looks quite capable really, with support for a lot of standard web sites, like Amazon and others. The colors are truly amazing. I'm actually quite miffed that t-zones doesn't seem to have any decent graphics to make use of my phone. Everything looks so tiny on the screen! They need to make some cool content for it I think.
Overall a great phone to carry and take photos with. Really feels like a high quality phone and the screen is awesome. Well worth the money.
