Come full circle. Sony's D-EJ100BLUE sports a cool new look, called Full Circle Design, which mirrors the look of a CD. It's slim and compact, but has great features like CD-R/RW playback, Skip-Free G-Protection Technology, and Digital Mega Bass Sound. But what's really awesome about this Walkman is the clip-on style remote control, which gives you the ability to easily operate your player. The extended battery life is also impressive - over 50 hours of continuous playback with just 2 "AA" batteries. Accessories include h.ear stereo headphones and clip style remote control.
Sony's D-EJ100 augments its great sound and extensive features with a stylish, blue, full-circle exterior. And at a mere .94 inches thick, this Walkman lives up to its name, traveling with ease in pocket, purse, or backpack. Playback options include 32-track programming, repeat (track, disc, or program), random play, and an amazing 50 hours of playback from a pair of standard AA batteries (not included). A clip-on remote makes it easy to operate the player while you're on the go, and Sony's "h.ear" clip-on headphones are designed for streamlined comfort.
"Active use" is a key phrase for this player: Sony's Skip-Free G-Protection boosts the laser pickup's shock protection to minimize read errors that would otherwise interrupt your music, providing quick recovery from both horizontal and vertical shocks. The D-EJ100's heat-resistant lid helps protect the player against high-temperature build up, especially when you're using it outdoors or in a vehicle.
You can hook the player up with your home system through an analog stereo "Y" interconnect. Should your music require it, the Walkman's Digital Mega Bass Sound engages digital processing to enhance your music with deep, authentic bass tones.
Bookmark playback lets you program your favorite songs from multiple CDs and play them back at the touch of a button, and Sony's automatic volume limiter system (AVLS) conserves batteries--and guards your hearing--by capping your listening level at either of two settings. The player may be used with optional AC/DC power adapters (AC-E45HG or -E45A) or car accessories (vehicle power cord: DCC-E345 or -E34CP, car kit CPA-9).
What's in the Box
CD player, headphones, a remote control, a user's manual, and warranty information.
1 it was crap again
I bought this after winter break and after four months the cd player stopped playing cds, sony you suck, and I would have to pay $29 for it to be refurbished. Any one who knows of any good cd player companies, I am open to ideas.
2 Good things come in small packages (4.5 Stars)
The Sony D-EJ100 Walkman is a nice, if flawed, little CD player. It comes with all the features one would expect for the relatively small price tag; G-Protection (anti-shock), bass boost, programmable functions, on-line remote, CD-R compatibility and more.
The unit itself is very thin and lightweight, but at the same time, quite durable. The button design is nice, with the basic play functions in the middle positioned around the display, and they're easily accessible too. However, the volume buttons, located on the side of the unit, are much too small. Speaking of volume, the headphones supplied with the unit don't carry much volume at all and they fail under high-bass situations, but they're okay for what their worth.
Aside from a few volume issues, the Sony E-EJ100 Walkman is a great little unit with unbelieveable battery life (up to 50 hours!) Perfect for any music enthusiast.
3 total crap
I bought this last summer for $49. It worked well at the beginning, but in a few months, it came to stop while playing a CD. When I played a CDR, this became even more obvious. When it stopped in the middle of playing a CD/CDR, I had to give it some shock to play the CD/CDR again (At this point, "G-protection" became to be a merely bad joke from SONY). Anyway, I no longer recommend you to buy any SONY products. Ask your Japanese friends about "SONY TIMER". I don't know if it was my case, but I won't buy SONY products any longer.
4 Great CD player for the price!!!!
My sixteen year daughter selected this player for Christmas after I purchased a different brand for her last year. She selected the player because she recognized the brand and said that she trusts their products. The bass feature and volume controls are great in comparison to other brands. It has a feature to "remember" the last track played, and is very sturdy . Not flimsy at all. I find this to be an excellent player for the price!!! Would highly recommend.
5 Dont Think and buy this as soon as possible
This is a great cd player at a very low price. First of all when you hear how crisp and finely tuned the sound is you will know why this SONY was worth it. Also it has a great bass (very deep)and the headphones are great (once you get used to them).Even though in the pic it may not seem like a very goodloking cd-player, when you get it youll see the difference. I wasnt a very big Sony fan but this has changd my mind. The list goes on and on but you wont find a better cd-player at this price or any price. Its worth every hard earned penny of yours and then some. No regrets
6 Attractively stylish with nice performance
The picture doesn't do this CD player justice. The top half of the case is navy-blue with brushed metalic accenting. The bottom half is white. It reflects back heat from the sun very well. It's lightweight, packed with useful features and very easy to use. Best of all is its performance. The sound is clear and rich. It has superb skip protection. I use mine on long walks and it does not skip or pause during play, unlike other players I've used. It has a tone control that has three settings to suit your listening preferences. It has an array of programming options. The controls are easy to locate and the display is easy to read. The player scans and finds tracks quickly and accurately. It has a remote control which plugs into the player and can hook to your CD player carrying case. This allows the user to operate the player without fumbling with the actual CD player. Your headset plugs into the remote control so that there is only one cord plugged into the player. One more thing; please read the operator's manual to fully understand and get the most out of the unit. You won't be disappointed with the SONY D-EJ100.

8 Great CD Player
Those of you who are looking for a really good portable CD Player, I would recommend this one. The sound is VERY clear and crisp, and the volume has a nice range that can go pretty high. I like the little clip-on controller that comes with it. I was confused at how to hook up the controller at first and there are no intructions anywhere on it in the owner's manual (that I could find), but I finally figured it out after awhile. So for those of you who may be confused also, you connect the controller into the earphone jack and then connect the earphones to a jack that is on the back of the controller. This is a very nice CD Player and great for the money, too, I think. I don't think you'd be disappointed.
