1 great light weight phone
this is a great phone for anyone that wants a light weight phone.
2 A GREAT Phone
I had this phone for 1 whole year now and its a great phone only that some places you can't get any reception. Then Cons on this phone is that the keys are VERY small,If you don't put this phone on phone lock it tends to call people in your call list. Some Pros are the battery lasts a VERY long time, Very good color display, and clear hearing ringtones. But the plus of this phone is that its very durable. I have to tell you that I'm impressed that my phone is still in great shape after droping it down stairs, cement, and even my sister throwing it across the room once were it hit the wall. If you want a phone that will last you a while buy this phone.
3 Solid phone. Great Value and performance
I've been with at&t for nearly 10 years. This is my 3rd Ericsson in the same amount of time. IMHO navigating the menus and performing necessary tasks is intuitive and a breeze. It beats any Nokia or panasonic by a long shot. The phone is sturdy and can take falling onto concrete or being tossed around the house on a daily basis without breaking. Voice quality is excellent, talk time and standby time are great too. Reception is never less than 3 bars - it's usually at 5.
The only confusing thing is understanding the difference between phone numbers stored in the phone and on the SIM. Otherwise, I would reccomend it to anyone with 100% confidence.
4 Don't like it.
I had the choice of another free phone. Should have taken the other one. I picked this one for the color screen. Can't hear it ring, turning vol to max doesn't help much. Reception is poor. Was never able to figure out what m mode is.
Would not pick it again.
5 Think twice before selecting THIS phone
I have had this phone for over a year. I have complained about the reception and was told that the New Generation towers are not up everywhere so it will get better. I am still waiting. And that's from AT&T! Now that AT&T is with Cingular, I had hoped for improved reception. I am beginning to think that it is the phones fault since I never hear anyone else complain. It does not receive the connection in parts of Utah, Montana, and Washington, which I can forgive because those are some off the beaten track places, but it also does not receive a network connection just 30 mins. from St. Louis, MO. Nor does it connect in Savannah, GA. And in ALL these places the people I am with are making phone calls with their phones (some AT&T as well). I got the phone for free. IN fact, I got two of them for free. That should have been my first clue. When they are giving them away like that, it can't be worth much. I agree with the other reviews on tiny keys, slow toggle around to all menues, low ringtones (i miss many calls), and I cannot think of ANY good reason to choose this phone over another--unless they give TWO to you free and you never leave the city!
Rating it with a 2 is overly generous of me; but it does work in the city. And it's small and cute.
6 Good value
For such a cheap phone I wouldn't expect anything more. I got this phone for free from AT&T and happily used it for almost a year. It has good battery life and would charge in less than an hour. I dropped this phone a lot, but you would never know because it's pretty sturdy. I prefer a color screen and this is one of the only lower priced phones that has one. One thing that bothered me was that dust got trapped behind the screen and you could see it when the screen was dark. Overall I would recommend this phone if you're not looking for anything fancy like bluetooth or a camera.
7 JUST TAKE IT
For only a few bucks you can own this phone with the camera and a carrying case.
8 I want one...
Stephenie,
I want to contact you about the T306 you are selling... email me, marcelo.hokazono@cdaero.com.br. My name is Marcelo.
9 Serves its purpose, not fantastic
Okay for a free color phone. My dislikes are the low volume ringtones on some ringtones. And yes, signal seems kind of weak. Somehow got T mobile to service it. Dropped it once running fast. Case opened. Some scratches, lost the button pad, but phone works perfectly. So, it's sturdy. Just went back to my dealer and he gave me a new button pad for free. Serves as a good alarm clock for me. I've used it for about 1 month. Hopefully, it will last a year for me. I heard rumors of many cell phones (not this one, but other phones) dying out in less than a year. That's odd, since a gameboy wouldn't do that.
Get "Five Stones" for your game. It's the only game worth playing. Since I lived in a Far East country, I know this game. It's basically, Tic-Tac-Toe-Beyond.
Advanced tic-tac-toe that has intelletual strategies. Playing with a friend or computer is actually fun.
10 I have this and am SELLING mine...
This phone is awesome, great clear color screen and the joystick button works so easily compared to other phones. The battery life is much longer than what most phones say they are and the reception for a tiny phone is extremely clear. I have to sell my phone though due to location changes and reception does not come in where I am now located for business (i am now with cingular), great phone for at&t customers! I am selling mine though for $70 or best offer including the camera attachment and leather case, a flashing keypad and a clear blue faceplate. Great for teens and young adults instead of wasting your time with those awful futuristic nokia phones out these days!
11 Pay for the voicemail
It was free with rebates and it was small with a color screen. These are the reasons that I bought it. Generally speaking it serves its purpose. Although I have had problems with reception. I have been in a room with my two friends who have the same service provider, but different phones, and they both had service and I didn't. I've lost service sitting in the same place and not moving. Although I must give it this: I dropped it into a river and it was still on. Yes, it still works, but it gets NO service now. What do you want from a water-logged phone?
12 Bad reception
In the store this phone looked very stylish and small. It had a color screen and games and lots of ring-tones. I cannot get reception on it anywhere except for a few places in town. Most of the time people calling me just have to leave a voice-mail because there is no reception.
I did get the phone for free after rebates... but I would reccomend getting a phone with better reception.
13 Please avoid this phone!
I have had this phone for about a year now. I thought it looked great in the store and the price was very attractive. I was a little hesitant at first with it, because the display model was non-operational and when I asked to see it working, he refused because he did not have a valid SIM card for it. I took the phone anyways, because I got it for around $25 after rebates.
The bad points:
Right away, I noticed the slow speed of the phone. Scrolling through the phonebook is not fun and often requires you to correct the overscroll caused by the slow speed of the phone. Navigating through menus takes too long. Even in full service, it takes nearly 40 seconds to fully turn on. Recently my phone has been either cutting me off of calls or not letting me dial out, even though I would have full signal strength. I had the phone looked at, and At&t told me it was because of recent network changes...i guess, whatever. It also displays odd messages on the screen sometimes, such as "cingular" and "Access denied" Restarting the phone solved this. Sometimes it will display a small phone icon will appear that is crossed out. The display is not that great, not nearly as crisp and detailed as other colored screen phones. The screen also fades and smears when you play games. I would avoid the camera attachment also. The used the wireless internet for a couple of weeks and did not like it at all. It would take literally 4-5 mins for me to access my Ebay auctions I was selling. It loads the pages incredibly slow, now matter where I was in Ohio. The screen collects dust well and scratches easily. The phone is a little large, you will know it's in your pocket (i was using the nokia 8260 before and it was smaller). The joystick is frustrating if you like using your thumb. The volume of the earpice does not go high enough if you are in a busy room.
The good news:
It's a cheap phone. I guess it is worth it's price around $25. It allows you to save all contacts on the SIM card, which is nice when changing phones. It can beam the info through infrared also. You can change it's faceplate easily. The battery life is about 2.5 days on standby. It comes with some cool ringtones including about 5 polyphonic. The games are pretty cool on it. You can download pics and place them as your background(standard on most phones anyways). The case of the phone is sleek looking, I got some compliements on it. You can hook a camera up to it. It has a voice clip recorder for voice notes. The sound quality of calls is not bad. The microphone is really good.
Conclusion: Go with the t306 if you aren't in a hurry and don't mind reduced quality. I would recommend the new t616 camera phone, it improves so much on this one.
14 Cute little package!
I have the T300 , not the T306, but it's basically the same thing. This is a great phone for someone who wants a small phone that does great things. It has a color display and a camera attachment is available. I think it's the perfect phone for a teenager or someone with small hands. The keys are small so someone with larger hands will have trouble. The only complain I have would be it's uncomfortable to hold again the face. The battery life is very strong and will last for days.
15 Better than expected
I have read many reviews about this particular phone. Most were negative. However, I must counter the negative reviews. A lot of the folks using it stated that it had low signal strength indoors. I use it indoors all of the time, many times in concrete buildings (bunker type buildings) with no windows. The signal bar has been very strong...not two bars like a lot of folks are complaining about. The clarity in voice reception and transmission is very clear. Better than my Nokia 6200. Most of the new cellular phones do not have external antennas. Keep your hands away from the antenna section of the phone and your reception will be fine. This phone is also on GSM tri-band. Many of the faults are not with a particular device but with the service provider. As more GSM towers go up, service for all should improve.
