Brett Tate
1 Perfect guide for 3 trips now
Just got back from my Cabo trip, the third vacation city I've visited since buying this book. It's uncanny how correct the details have been, I mean down to the T. On this trip it helped choose the golf course, the hotel, even the best boat to charter for the blue marlin fishing. We caught a 400 lb monster that fought like a demon; even the topless local girls we brought on board for the trip were impressed. I'd like to think they caught a monster too, but you know. Later that night, for appetizers and mindless entertainment we went to the pool hall/brothel mentioned in the book. There's no way you would have ever find it without reading about it. It was us 4 guys, and 40 girls who took up all the bar stools. They seemed real friendly here. Anyway, I'd highly recommend you buy a copy.
2 What a waste of money
This book contains absolutely nothing of value. The information given is close to useless and covering less than 1% of the action going on in the places visited. The entire female philosophy in the Hedonist will take you nowhere and it that where we want to go. No it's not. Do not waste money on it. On my last trip to Amsterdam I stubble into this guy who works for Red Light Planet. He offered me a copy of their Amsterdam guide. Best stuff I have ever read and I have been in Amsterdam several times but this guide provided we with more information than I could have dreamt of. The people behind the guide are, as he put it; "is a community of field specialists". They write the guide for themselves but for other as well. He gave me the following email: max@redlightplanet.net. Later I also mailed them and got their guides to Frankfurt and Barcelona as well. Good stuff. I would not say it's an alternative to The Hedonist. It's simply the bible for people like me who travel a lot.
3 The real truth for single travellers
This books hits dead on with tips on visiting different countries and enjoying the pleasurable sights it has to offer. I've been in Europe for several years and everything this books has told of approaching women and experiencing different cultures is absolutely correct. I feel as if one of my "running buddies" wrote this book. For anyone who have travelled outside of the U.S. and have experienced some of the things this book tells will find themselves astonished and saying "I've done that!" or "I saw that!". A great book to read for the curious mind who wants to know what else is there out there in different parts of the world, especially if you're tired of the routine rituals of dating or costly entertainment which doesn't gaurantee anything special. I won't go over much details but I will say this..."BUY THIS BOOK!!!!"
4 Excellent
I found The Hedonist to be an invaluable travel assistant. It's a combination of Conde Naste, Lonely Planet, and seemingly ghost written by the hysterical editors at Maxim Mag. The info has saved me countless dollars and eliminated many of the mistakes I might have made going in blindly to a foreign country. It provides first hand travel advice on customs, cabs, currency, hotels, transportion, security, crime and scams, restaurants, and local websites with message boards. If your a sports nut, it's packed with in-depth details for golf, fishing, hiking, sailing, casinos, as well as tips on the local cultural sights. More importantly, The Hedonist gives you complete details for meeting endless uninhibited young girls in nightclubs to Red Light Districts..girls who still treasure the essence of being a woman.
Like most men, I travel abroad to get away from the lying, scamming US women who exploit men through deceipt for money. Too often it takes a divorce and half his net worth for a man to realize his fat, screeching, con-artist ex-wife is the vilest part of human nature, who deserves zero respect.
Hide this book from women, and if any of your friends are considering marriage, pick up a copy for him immediately.
5 AWESOME!
Wow, I am so happy with this book. I used to waste all my time on trips: walking, admiring architecture, meeting people, learning about the culture. You know, stupid stuff. Once I got this book, though, oh man! Now I know exactly where to go to do what any guy in a foreign country REALLY wants to do! Exploiting women, participating in their objectification, and just overeall demeaning them is so much easier than I thought! Every fantasy I had of participating in the vilest part of human nature is now so easy to do FOR REAL. If you have zero respect for yourself and even less for women, this is the book for you!
6 The Sex Bible
Before visiting any country on vacation, I always research the hot spots and nightlife to save time, money, and to hit the ground running. A friend showed me this book, and it was exactly what I was looking for, since it's written for single, partying guys. We both chose Costa Rica, with the game plan of a three day golf getaway. We checked into the highly recommended Hotel del Rey, went downstairs to the sports bar and thought we'd died and gone to heaven. 60 exotic girls and maybe 8 guys; it's a brothel disguised as a Hotel Sports bar. Get this, we never left the hotel the entire vacation! Friggin' hilarious trip to say the least. Every single guy needs this book, it is without a doubt the Sex Bible.
7 Great Book
This book is a must have for any guy looking to have lots of fun for a little $$$$. i had been to a few of these spots before but after reading this book i now have about 5 years worth of uncharted territory to explore!!!!
8 Excellent
What can I say about this book except it is perfect for single guys. Every travel guide I've seen is written for backpackers or fat tourists with toupees. I'm in my 20's, I ain't dead, and wandering around aimlessly on vacation is not an option. This book gives in-depth details that are right to the point, for locating and exploiting the hot spots for amateur girls and the pros, as well as a buffet of daytime activities. Get it, read it, book your flight. Done!
9 Caribbean Gone Wild
A quick note, since this book really paid for itself for me. A friend and I booked a 3 day fishing marathon in Curacao (Caribbean). I quickly realized we knew nothing about the nightlife and got worried. I scoured through Borders and other bookstores and came up empty handed. On a tip, I picked up this book, and it had all the info we needed for fishing, casinos, hotels, the solution to the disastrous taxi rates, and most important, what to do at night.
We took the advice and headed straight to the state owned brothel at the end of the island. After one sip of the first beer, a sea of amazon latinas tackled us...must have been 50 of them. What a great fishing trip. They were really biting the whole weekend. We hooked so many trophy keepers, it brings tears to my eyes. Back home now, and it's been really cold. Not the weather, the old lady. She just can't understand how I got such deep nail marks on my back catching a marlin. My advice is dump the broad, and buy this book.
10 Where have you been all my life ???
For years I've been traveling to far-off places only to come up disappointed because I didn't know where to go once I got there. Fogetaboutit !!! This book is all I need for making travel plans. I'm stuffing my passport and ATM card in my pocket and heading for the airport ASAP!
