1 far more than a cook book
When you open this book, you'll find so much more than recipes... you will find the truest statement abour a way of living you've seen.

The recipes alone would have made this a great book, but the story, about the context of those recipes, and their value in traditional Spanish cooking and living makes it a superb book.

The best i've ever read, and re-read and re-read

2 A Taste of Spain
This is an excellent book with concise recipes that are easily duplicated and/or adapted for the American kitchen. The explanations of the regional cusines and the beautiful pictures and histories of the many provinces of this fascinating country are the icing on the cake. This is a wonderful "coffee table book" as well as a working cook book.

Quote of the Day:

"Reintegration complete," ZORAC advised. "We're back in the

universe again..." An unusually long pause followed, "...but I don't
know which part. We seem to have changed our position in space." A
spherical display in the middle of the floor illuminated to show the
starfield surrounding the ship.
"Several large, artificial constructions are approaching us,"
ZORAC announced after a short pause. "The designs are not familiar, but
they are obviously the products of intelligence. Implications: we have
been intercepted deliberately by a means unknown, for a purpose unknown,
and transferred to a place unknown by a form of intelligence unknown.
Apart from the unknowns, everything is obvious."
-- James P. Hogan, "Giants Star"

In order to dial out, it is necessary to broaden one's dimension.
