1 MY FAVORITE MOVIE!
I simply love this movie! i love everything about it! The game they both played, the soundtrack, the style, ect. I'm still watching it and it still has it's affect on me! I simply love it! Watch it!
2 Over and over again!

I can watch this movie over and over again! I rented it twice and now own it. Great performances and great story line! I love the way Vivica's character talks to us through out the movie. If something were to ever happen to my copy of this movie....I would DEFINITELY go out and purchase another copy for sure. a must see.
3 That's right, girl, you do your thing.
Watching this movie I felt so good in being a woman. Men love running around and doing what they wanna do behind their own ladies' back. A strong black sista that Vivica Fox played was too cruck. Cause she made her man sweating bullets when she could play the 'game' too. Men, may not like this movie, but get over it, baby. The truth is the light.
4 Miss Thing Played This Game
Miss Vivica Played the part in this movie. She was professional and very to the point. Everyone who played in this movie did a very good job. This is real live rather you believe it or not . This is how a lot of people play games but she did it with class. Mark Brown selected a good cast for this movie. I recommend it highly .
5 THE REAL PLAYAS
TWO PLAYAS PLAYING HARD TO GET WITH EACH OTHER MORRIS CHESTNUT AND VIVICA A. FOX PLAY GAMES WITH EACH OTHER . THIS IS JUST A MOVIE ABOUT THE PERSON WHO HAS THE BEST GAME I ENJOYED IT AND I LIKED IT A LOT. IF YOU LIKE COMEDY AND IF YOU ARE A FAN OF ANY OF THE CHARACTERS IN THE MOVIE THEN YOU WOULD DEFINITELY LIKE THIS MOVIE.
6 O.k.
This movie was O.K. Good for having professional blacks, but bad for having them with stupid attitudes. Yet, there were some funny scenes (Anthony Anderson). I give it a 4 star because of Morris Chestnut and his fine, chocolate self.
7 Two Can Play That Game
This is perhaps the best romantic comedy I've ever seen. Vivica's character catches her man out on the dance floor when he said he'd be working late. He explains but she's determined to keep him in line by punishing him. It's hilariously funny and very romantic. A must see!
8 hmmmmmm!
i guess ill give it 3 stars. the preview for this movie looked really good! but the movie did not match i dont think it was horrible, but it was not the hilarious wonderful movie i was expecting. i think those kind of misleading previews can really kill a movie. it was ok, but ill probably never watch it again even though morris chestnut is in it. some of it was funny but not really funny and alot of it just wasnt funny. maybe if i didnt expect so much from it i would have liked it more.
9 It Someone Hiding Something From You....?
Two Can Play At That Game is a very interesting movie. Whoever says this movie isn't funny hasn't been in a relationship before. Point Blank. Through each characters strategic tactics I see myself. I say holdup hold up ...I ve done that before. Anthony Anderson basically makes this movie though. This man is too funny. He emphasizes the important words in the sentence to get his point across and his voice makes it hilarious. This is his best acting performance. Vivica Fox gives women a few unnecessary pointers ( from a man's perspective at least ) but she does keep it real. Morris Chestnut does excellent as well. The movie is fast paced as Vivica Fox and Anderson each play their cards at the situation they are given. They play it like a chess game and the 'rules' are funny at times. The girlfriends (Tamala Jones, Wendy Racquel Robinson and MoNique )really act like real friends and they have good chemistry together. The movie wasn't too long and didn't bore me to death as most love stories do.

When I first saw it I couldn't really understand why Morris Chestnut was moping around. 'I'm not gonna call, I already called twice, can't be desperate" lol. I was like man if you don't quit b!tchin...But then I remembered that Vivica Fox is finer than a mutha. I'm surprised he didn't cry. Shante takes him through a grueling three day process where she hardly even speaks to him and breaks up with him. The only useless day was day six. There was no purpose for it. The funniest part is at the end when she expects him to be at her house waiting on her with flowers. I could have told her beyotch please that aint gonna happen. And then when he didn't show it was just hilarious. I was like "ahhh that shhh didn't work" and then five seconds later she's like "I know what ya thinking...the shhh didn't work" By then I was on the flo rolling. It was so funny.

The good thing about this movie is that actors really seemed like they enjoyed playing the roles. The movie is fast, fun, lighthearted, and entertaining. A nice classic chill out movie. The narrating didn't bother me at all. I recommend seeing this film

11 Shante KNOWS how to keep it reeeal!
Though there are no such thing as perfect movies, this one is as FUNNY and as ORGANIZED as they get. I have watched it like 20 times, and still enjoy it from beginning to end.
12 boring
This movie is so predictable and boring. I seen this movie so many times before, couldn't they have gotten an original plot! And then the picture quality was bad. It felt like I was watching an 80's movie.
13 Ever have a significant other play with your emotions?
Have you ever screwed up unintentionally in a relationship? Why won't they answer the phone when you want to apologise? Are you still hung up on someone who acts like they don't care for you any more? Could it all be just a mind game? Watch as two masters of the mind menagerie duke it out in this twisted head game called a relationship.
14 Just Fabulous!! x]
I LOVED this movie! The characters played it well, they did GREAT! It is always fun when movies about the battles of the sexes come on [not to be sexist or anything] but you DO have to agree with me that it is FUNNY and HILARIOUS as hell!! :] You DEFINITELY should watch it!!
15 Too much talking to the audience for me.
And what was up with those rules? Anyone operating like that is bound to get dissed. The ten rules was a bit much for me. This movie was no different from the laundry list of black predictable films. We want to be taken seriously in Hollywood, but movies like this are the best we can do?

I dare any black director, producer, or writer, to take this movie, the likes of Brown Sugar, Baby Boy, Kingdom Come (what the Heezy?), Deliver Us From Eva, and ALL of the movies that follow this pattern to the Academy.

16 it was just stupid
to me and many others this movie has no point it didnt even deserve the 2 stars the worse movie vivicas been in and the worse movie morris has been in since the brothers just BAD
17 just okay
The movie has the characters that you liked and scenes that are funny. But I didn't like the story. I am not a game player when it comes to relationships so I had lost interest.
18 And when they play, it's awfully fun!
The first time I seen this movie, it was at three o'clock in the mourning at one of htose hotels with those ... beds that you can't sleep on and it was on our free HBO television. See the movie is about this woman who tries to control her boyfriend with her stupid rules. She talks to the camera as if she is talking to you and she is giving you advice with your man. However, it turns out that you shouldn't be playing the game the way she turns out to be playing it. But unfortantely, you get to see the outcome before you take her advice, her friends couldn't and they suffered from her advice. But you see when she finds out that her own boyrfiend is "cheating" on her. You may wonder what the ""'s mean. See he told her that he was working late- which he was, it was just after he had finished he went out with a friend to a club. But you see this friend of his was actually his girlfriend's arch rival. And she catches him there in the club when she is with her female friends. She doesn't sweat it though. She has her plan that will get him back in line IMMEDIATLY. However, her plan doesn't work when her boyfriend starts listening to his best friend. They both sit desperately and try to make each other jealous by hanging all over other guys and girls. Eventually the games end and the two get together- now was that predicatable? LOL. But it doesn't matter. Trust me this is a really good movie that you should be ordering immedaitly. Well that's all and I am so out. HOLLA!
19 cute and funny
If you want to laugh and smile, then this is a good movie for that. Ms. Fox and Mr. Chesnut are not the stars, Mr. Chesnut's buddy is the star if you ask me. He is worth the rental..he's funny...
20 Great movie!
I really enjoy this movie. I laugh every time I see it. The only complaint that I really have about this DVD is the special features...meaning that...their aren't that many! What's the point of having a DVD if you're not going to have at least SOME GOOD (good is the keyword) special features? I don't know...I just thought the special features were kind of a disappointment! No deleted scenes or alternate endings...just whack interviews.
21 Two Can Play That Game
I liked this Film~ I thought it was full of fun and I found myself very amused with this Woman vs.Man thinking! I had to laugh during some of the 10 step's in this film~ Why? Because some of it I've played the Game that way myself~ and it worked, well to a degree~

If you are looking for a "Fun Film"~ buy this one ~ The whole Cast was nothing but perfection~ It was IMO a good Film~
Buy it yourself and "Enjoy"~

22 Above Par
This would be standard middle-brow entertainment were it not for three factors that I'll discuss in a little bit. The concept, that women can be as deft "players" of the field as men, is certainly not new to most. It may be new to A level films, and it probably is new to director/producer Mark Brown, the creator of HOW TO BE A PLAYER. But it is not a concept new to almost any B level direct-to-video thriller, anything on Cinemax after 11pm, or to any newspaper. Women have almost always been better players (see Anna Nicole Smith, Leona Helmsley, that maid that married the Johnson & Johnson fortune, and almost all of the guests on either Jerry Springer, Jenny Jones, or Ricki Lake). But, this movie does have an easy going pace and sound track that combine to make it as smooth as a ride in Shante's convertible Jaguar. What makes the film stay slightly above average is the presence of the three lead thespians. First of all, let it be said that Anthony Anderson does in fact walk away with this film. He simply owns every second that he is on screen (including the out takes at the end). His natural and easy manner combined with impeccable comic timing simply makes him the de facto owner of the material, the screen, and the film as a whole. Next, Morris Chestnut, whether given a lot or a little (like here) to do simply comes off as likable. And in the main role, few actresses - good looking or not - could carry off the part that Vivica A. Fox plays. The film would not be believable were it not for this particular actresses commanding presence and astonishing good looks. She, like her character, is someone who has worked her looks and her intelligence to get exactly what she wants out of life, and she is not afraid to show it. So, if you go in not expecting too much, you will come out pleasantly surprised. A 7 out of 10.
23 Can and do play that game!
I thought it was a cute movie! If you're looking for some endearing drama and Oscar nominees, skip it! But if you're after some laughs and a feel good ending, it's worth the money. Vivica and Morris take the corporate thing perhaps a tad too far, but they look great doing it. The movie really plays to what really goes on inside a sista's head when she thinks she's in control. I loved her dialog to the camera! Hey, she's talking to you! To all of us who've been in that situation at some point in time. It's a real relief from the gansta, thug, and poor black folks in the ghetto movies.
24 Good Movie
Two Can Play That Game features the oh so sexy Morris Chestnut and Vivica A. Fox. This film is a comedy about the games men and women play in a relationship and the rules each sex believes they are supposed to abide by in a relationship. Two Can Play That Game reflects the real-life drama of how to react in situations that develop in a relationship and whether or not one should get advice from one's know-it-all friends, (Tamala Jones, Wendy Racquel, Monique, and Anthony Anderson). The characters are all intelligent and professional African Americans, which is a change from what Hollywood usually displays. This movie will keep you laughing and will have you saying, "ain't that the truth" and have you thinking "damn, that's good." This is a great purchase.
25 GREAT MOVIE
This was a movie that made you think about the games that women and men play against one another.
26 The Battle of the Sexes
My sister begged me to see this film and I said, "why not"? Well, despite my serious misgivings the film turned out to be very funny and also for me a little educational. The film like my title suggests is a battle between the sexes and the rules they use on each other. The tactics and strategies are also funny. Vivica Fox is very funny and cool too. She has great chemistry with Chestnutt.
The supporting cast is also funny and at times steal the show. The film goes by quickly almost no part is boring or slow. Anyone that has had a relationship will enjoy the "problems" this couple faced.
27 It was pretty funny
I enjoyed this movie. I Thought Viveca played her part well. Although, I do like Viveca. She's really convincing. Morris Chestnut, is soooooooooooo fine. I really enjoyed looking at him. But overall, i liked this movie. go get it.
28 In Order To grasp this concept you got to think like them!
Two Can Play At That Game is a very interesting movie. Whoever says this movie isn't funny hasn't been in a relationship before. Point Blank. Through each characters strategic tactics I see myself. 29 Two Can Play This Game
This story is great. It will make you laugh out loud and it can make you cry. Morris Chestnut and Vivica A. Fox are wonderful together in this movie. It's one you'll watch over again. It's packed with action, love, great music. The story tells of problems you can have in any relationship. It's how you choose to deal with then that counts.
30 Yawwwwnnnn .... zzzz ... snore ... cough ... etc.
I am part of an African-American book and media club. We try to support all A-A entertainment. I was told be another member to go watch this as a movie. Boy was I sorry. DVD is no better.

I like Vivica Foxx. But she plays in some lame movies, starting with Booty Call. In this movie, her character kept talking to us (narrating) by looking directly into the camera. This was annoying but was sorely needed for a poorly scripted movie. Also, the upclose camera shots of Foxx showed her as an AGING actress, perhaps too old to be Morris Chestnutt's lover. When will Vivica be a producer/director of films instead of an actress/employee?

This movie was supposed to be funny. But what was funny about Morris Chestnutt receiving [bad] advice from his thuggy friends? Also, I never felt that Foxx/Chestnutt are "successful" in this movie. All Chestnutt did was sit behind a desk during "working hours" gossipping with his "homies" about Foxx. Good example for young Blacks hoping to make it in the corporate world, right? Oh, and Foxx? She's wealthy for no reason. During one of her so-called corporate office scenes, she has to "sneer" into the camera again to TELL you she is an executive -- evidence that the script and acting and even background setups were all faulty in this movie.

In a leading African American magazine with Fox and Chestnut featured on the cover, Fox mentions her attempt to "turn out" Hollywood by being the leading lady of this film. (Translation: Oh, please, please, Black moviegoers, I need a job so come see my otherwise stupid, little movie!) Well, with a poor script, overdone stage setting and Foxx's swearing, Vivica honey you will continue to be an aging actress. Please grow up professionally.

31 A Must See Comedy Drama!
This movie is an excellent way to tell how relationships really are. I like the way the "ten step process" was carried out because the way it was displayed is exactly what we do.
32 ONE OF THE BEST
THIS WAS A GREAT MOVIE. THE KIND OF MOVIE YOU WOULD WANT TO SEE WITH YOUR GIRLS. ITS ABOUT THE GAME OF THE RELATIONSHIP. IT WAS A NICE COMEDY, NOTHING TO SERIOUS. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF SAYING "I DID THAT BEFORE." YOU WOULDN'T KNOW THAT IT WAS ONE OF THE RULES IN THE MOVIE. THIS MOVIE WILL LEAVE YOU SMILING WHEN ITS TIME FOR THE CREDITS TO ROLL.
33 3.5 stars...
Granted I wasn't expecting the setup. Fox moreorless narrates the movie. Men and Women playing games when they think MOTOS is playing out of the field that they are allowed to. "Shante" (Fox) finds her supposed to be well respected man on the dancefloor with another women when he said he was going to be at work late. From there Shante plays the waiting game, let's him call and moreorless begs to communicate with her, she leaves him hanging to make him keep calling back.

Sooner or later, he gets tired and starts to really play the field-though it looks like only to get back at her. It turns out that he is just playing the game that she is. Do they meet up again in the end? Well that's something you will have to watch the movie for.

Funny in some parts but overall just basic fact on what happens when men and women's emotions get involved when they think the member of the opposite sex is playing around. Or when they really are playing around. I give it a 3.5 stars out of 5. I, like many others, felt that there would have been deeper roles than this, given the actors and actresses playing the parts. But anyways-it's a relationship chick flick. It wouldn't hurt to rent it, if it interest you!

34 Ok but I expected more
First of all, I just could not picture Vivica Fox as a "Shante". For the most part, I'm not really one for THE RULES, but I expected a fun, more in depth movie given the cast. There were some (okay...just a few) funny scenes; esp. those featuring Bobby Brown.........Maaannn, what a transformation!!
Morris Chestnut did a great job as the boyfriend (Keith) trying to stay one up w/Shante. Anthony Anderson did a good job as supporting actor playing Chestnut's good friend and "relationship coach".

It was interesting to see the "game" played in the form of a Tennis Match so to speak. She does this then he does that. But as is evident, too much game playing proves to be childish, unwarrented and ultimately hurtful. Save your time and your heart...be real and be true...

Communicate to one another. Either the relationship was meant to be or it wasn't.....PERIOD!

Overall, no matter what, it's a pleasure to see movies where our peers are successful and competing in Corporate America. That part at least sends out a positive message to the viewing audience.

35 Liked it but.....
See, that's the problem with the sexes today. Everybody wants to control the other. Now, here you have a woman who saw her man and another woman in the club dancing(after He said he would be working late), and this girl got this brother alternating from calling her often to going out his mind. What happened to sitting down and setting it straight?? I liked this movie, but between all these head games that Vivica A. Fox and Anthony Anderson was doing, chile, you would have thought they were corporate merger headhunters, not playing in the delicate game of
love, and what did she accomplish?? Almost loosing ol' boy to a high class skeezer. This is too,too much. Folks need to come correct here. Now, what is the benefit of all those rules when you don't have no one to be with at the end of those 10 days???? Where was your purpose then? Now, I don't date, and maybe that may one of the reasons, but we put ourselves under too much darn stress over each other. Get real and get straight. Life is too darn short.
36 Cute and Funny
I didn't think I'd like this movie. As it takes real genius to pull off a "narrative" or the story teller aspect, which this director was obviously lacking the talent to do... However, putting that aside, I thought the over-all movie was funny, the acting was ok, the concept was great... and was well worth buying.
37 The TRUTH
The truth shall set you free. I kept hearing mixed reviews. Some said they liked it, others said they didn't. I liked it. It was better than I thought it would be as a matter of fact. If you are having doubts...get the movie. I AM!!! It is good!
38 VERY LOUSY
Is this what African-American films have to come to these days?
This piece of junk has to be one of the lamest Black films to come out in a minute. It's not really funny and Vivica Fox & Co. seem like they want their check-and that's it!
I don't blame them 'cause if I was in this dumb movie,I'd just show up for the check too!
39 flat out funny
ok so im a guy but i enjoyed the male bashing. i think its true.
i also liked this because of the hotties vivica a fox and gabrielle union.its just way cool. rent this for laughs.
40 This "Game" of love and war just isn't very fun.
"Two Can Play That Game" operates under the notion that relationships in distress call for a set of rules used to keep the opposite sex under control, only to relinquish this concept by concluding with a shot of our two main characters embracing after ninety minutes of cloyed storytelling and little to no comedic relief. But it's perfectly okay for the movie to end on a note of heavenly bliss; after all, when it comes to love, their are no rules. So why have a game? Better yet, why have this movie?

The story is carried by a narration from its main character, Shante (Vivica A. Fox), an advertising executive who believes basically that all men are scum. It would appear that she has every right to hold such a belief: each of her three best friends have lousy men in their lives, while she thrives in a trusting, affectionate relationship with wealthy lawyer Keith Fenton (Morris Chestnut).

Minutes after her lesson in excuses to cover up cheating ways, Shante notices her knight in shining armor out with another woman when he was supposedly "working late," and so she begins her so-called "10-Day Plan" of games and trickery to bring him to his knees, begging her to take him back. They await phone calls from one another, make unexpected visits to each other's dwellings, avoid appearing somber in front of friends, and resort to drastic measures such as flirting and dating other people in their desperate attempts to win the other back without being the loser of the game.

The movie hits a speed bump from the start with its characters, who lack any sort of charm or sparkle to keep us interested in what they have to say. Fox does her best in trying to keep a smooth flow to the cumbersome and cloyed script, but her character's narration is bothersome and intrusive, providing for long periods of dialogue that is mean-spirited when it should be funny. The sole humorous moments of the film come from the four women, who, when in one another's company, generate the kind of laughs and smiles that the film is badly in need of.

Another question comes to mind when looking back on the movie: why should we care about whether or not these two people will end up together when we have no reason to embrace them as individuals? As they spend most of their time driving around in expensive cars, with Shante incessantly sneering at the camera and Keith getting his groove on with various women in a pathetic attempt to get over his lost love, we have no reason to suspect that their emotion runs deeper than their vanity. They spend so much time keeping each other at bay with their tactics, that when it comes time for them to reconcile, it's not so much a happy ending as it is just an ending, period.

There are small glimpses of a better movie in "Two Can Play That Game," such as the wit of the supporting female cast members and Anthony Anderson as Keith's friend and mentor, but they are buried under a massive heap of battle-of-the-sexes clichˇ, moronic plotting, misguided narration and unlikable characters. Sure, their lives are nice to look at on the outside, and the actors are easy on the eyes with their suave looks, but when you get right down to it, this game of love just isn't very fun, and lacks the sense of humor needed to justify the movie's near-pointless plot.

41 Enough Truth In This Movie
This movie is pretty much on point concerning relationships and the games we play to see how far we can go and to see how much a person cares. Two Can Play That game is a tasteful movie with a lot of Humor. Vivica Fox as Shante does a good job narrating this movie. She acctually gives good advice about how to conduct yourself in some areas of relationship problems. Morris Chestnut, Mr. Fine Himself, also did a good job, potraying how men really feel, it's not always I dont Give a Care about her. Men have feelings too. I can appreciate a movie like this, It's nothing extrodinary, but a movie you wouldn't mind discussing with friends and family. Also, Good Performances by Gabriel Union and Anthony Anderson. Check it Out.
42 Hilarious !!
To be honest with you, I was getting a bit tired of the african american films based on relationships but I was pleasantly surprised with this film. The beginning reminded me of "The Brothers" with views of the city and the rest of the film reminded me somewhat of "Boomerang". The content however, was very funny. I liked the way Morris Chestnut was able to exploit his ability as a comedian. The scene after Day 5 (breezing through his office building full of confidence because he had scored an extra point) had me on the floor crying with laughter. I was glad that the film finished with no one getting the upper edge. The problem is that grown adults do play childish games on each other and it is such a terrible waste of life. Let that be a lesson to us all.

Other funny scenes:
Michaels teeth, I would not have wasted good money on those fangs. Keith's friend always having the last say. Tracy and her man arguing. And who could forget Tyrone - where did Shante find him???? Must have been desperate times !!

43 Charming and light
Smarmy little comedy about a sassy advertising executive (Viveca A. Fox) who thinks she knows everything about men but is one day thrown for a loop when her seemingly perfect, trustworthy boyfriend (Morris Chestnut) is caught on a date with another woman. Fox decides to implement her 10-day punishment program, designed to get the guy down on his knees begging for forgiveness and reinstatement in the relationship. Told in intimate narration style with Fox directing her comments straight at the camera, the film never reaches its full comedic potential, but is extremely enjoyable and amply examples both the male and female side of the conundrum it is exploiting. None of the characters ever become cloying (except for David Krumholtz's annoyingly heartless stereotype of a gay male secretary), though one would wish for more scenes involving Fox's girlfriends, as they provide some real gems for the story (especially comedienne Mo'nique as the self-proclaimed "Ghetto Glamour" girl). No real disappointments here, though.
44 off the heezy for sheezy
this movie was so good. as fine as Morris Chestnut is I got to give it to him and the rest of the crew for playing this movie. it was funny and it kept you in your seat about whats happening next. yall better go catch it. i cant wait till it come out on dvd.
45 Give me a break
This movie had too many production issues. Even though I love to watch Vivica Fox, her narration in this movie annoyed the heck out of me. She talked to the camera WAY too much for the movie's own good. Anthony Anderson was the only character that I truly liked in the movie. His attitude and playful posturings was a refreshing change of pace to the (numerous) annoying crying and whining scenes. I have to ask one question to Morris: Why did you do this movie? Are you that desperate for money? Are time really that bad? It started off really bad, but got interesting towards the middle, then it ended predictably. Hands down one of the worst of the new "blackploitative" films of our era. Do yourself a favor, see this movie when it's in the $1.99, 5 day rental section of Blockbuster. You'll still have overpaid though.
46 Two Can Play This Game
This movie was great. Most people wouldn't think this action actually goes on but men and women both play these "I'm not going to let my true feelings show yet I don't want to be hurt" games. This movie wasn't offensive the way some African American cast movies are. It was very sophisticated and depicted careers we now have.
The cast was superb and very funny, especially the insecure women in their relationships. Vivica and Morris created their characters unfolding from beign uptight and unsure to "we are for real."

I want to know the type and make of car Vivica Fox drove in the movie. Thanks Mark Brown for being REAL. May God continue to inspire you and increase your worth and talent as an all around artist. Yvonne

47 Fantastic Cast!
I was reluctant to go plop down money to see this movie, having heard that is was exactly like the numerous African American movies that have hit theaters over the past several years. After all too much of a good thing can be a turn off. However, after deciding that it was easier to just go see it instead of continuing to wonder about it, I took in a Sunday matinee.

For the duration of the film, I was grinning, shaking my head, and sometimes ever laughing out loud. Vivica Fox has never been a favorite of mine but I have to give it to her: she played the role of Chante extremely well. The supporting cast (the main reason I finally went to see it) were outstanding as well.

Doug McHenry has made a career out of producing and directing witty, entertaining films. Great job once again.

48 G-R-E-A-T MOVIE!
Vivica A. Fox did a wonderful performance in this movie. She is a highly successful marketing agent named Shante. Shante has all the right answers to any and every man problem except her own. She has a fine, handsome boyfriend played by Morris Chestnut. Shante plays these mind (playa-mack) rule games in hopes that she will "straighten-out" her man. Shante has a 10 day rule that she follows to the "T", but it backfires on her. The only rule Shante should have been playing was the game of LOVE. This is a good movie for those that put themselves in a situation of being too controlling in their relationship; they should listen to their mate and follow their heart.
49 PositivelyFuny
This movie was an excellent expression of the rat race relationships fall into when the trust factor has been violated. I think that this is a must see for any couple, together. This will let them both realize that in any relationship, only integrity, and "LOVE", can conquer all obstacles!! True love that is!! Games are out, but true love will win everytime.
50 These Actors provided a Great Movie
Two of the HOTEST!!!! African American actors in Hollywood today star in this romantic comedy. Vivca A Fox and Morris Chestnut do a great job of making us believe that they are in committed couple trying to find their way through the maze of the battle of the sexes game. It's a light treat with minimum heavy drama. Another good slice of American pie about upper middle class African Americans dealing with love and life relationships. A Anderson gets excellent screen time as Chetnuts' friend, which he works. The supporting friends of the Fox character (Shante Smith) are lead by Monique with W Robinson and T Jones used as background filler. Gabrielle Union has a bit part as the arch enemy of Fox and as usual she can lights up the screen as an original diva would when entering a room, this girl is bad. Chestnut as (Keith Fenton) allows us to take a glimpse into his comedic talent which compliments his so well defined dramatic acting. Fox carries the movie just as she was expected to and she does it with out flaws. This movie is an improvement on M Brown's first movie "How to be a Player", but has a similar feel with the main character talking to the audience. It is definitely worth at least the matinee price to see the actor strut their stuff in this new scene.
51 Two Can Play That Game
I thought that the movie was pretty funny. It was much better than How to be a Player, same writer. Anthony Anderson and Mo'Nique kept me in stitches. I didn't like that Viveca narrated the whole movie, that got on my nerves. This movie is definately worth checking out and not just a rental! This was a well acted movie. Bobbie Brown could've had a larger role I thought. If you're depressed, this will sure bring you a couple of laughs to take your mind off your worries
52 Great Acting
The acting in this movie was great. Vivica A. Fox plays Shante, a woman who catches her boyfriend Keith (Morris Chestnut) cheating with her rival Conny (Gabrielle Union). This movie is funny and the stars do great jobs, especcially Union. If you liked "How To Be A Player", "The Brothers", "The Wood", and movies like that you will love this.
