1 How many pictures will it store?
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
The Viking 64MB SmartMedia Card, like most 64MB cards, will store on average 71 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 53 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 32 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 25 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 20 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.
I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.
2 Apprehensive about buying at first. But now I'm glad I did!
I needed a bigger card for my FujiFilm 2600z camera, which I also got off amazon.com almost two years ago. It came with a 16mb card but I needed something bigger, especially with my wedding coming up.
I was looking at the 128mb Memorex SmartMedia Card, but I discovered my camera was not on Memorex's compatibility list. My next choice was the 64mb card from Viking. I was a little skeptical at first because I had never heard of them before. However, after reading some great reviews from other amazon.com shoppers I decided to give it a shot (especially because it was priced lower then most of the others).
I could not be happier! First off I went from only being able to hold 20 photos (at max quality), to around 82! I have been using the card for months, taking photos, deleting them, transferring them to my PC, and so far it has been working great. The card also came with a plastic protective case, which is now where my 16mb card resides.
If I ever decide to go with the larger 128mb card, or if I get a new camera, I will definitely consider another Viking memory card, and would recommend their product to any of my friends.
3 Heavy EBAY auction lister gives "Two Thumbs Up" to this card
Between listing items at home and at a high-volume bookstore, we probably list about 300 items a week. And for that, I take sometimes 1,000s of pictures - each week! This card has been continually used for some two years now, working five days a week - with not a single problem.
Each of our images is under 350k for EBAY aauctions and I can save 292 high quality images at a time - and they always turn out well. I highly recommend this card. For our day-to-day jobs - we will only use this Viking card. It has never failed us. I use it at home. It's taken in and out of the camera many, many times, and it just keeps on working. It really is our workhorse.
4 BE AWARE
I went on vacation, made 81 photos with my 3020 Olympus camera and then when I wanted to transfer my photos, the card gave me a formating error. So now all my pictures are lost. Will not buy this product again!
5 Skeptical at first, but...a definite value!
I purchased my 64MB Viking SmartMedia card along w/my (2MP) Olympus D-510 Zoom digital camera. For the past year, I've used both products w/out problem. While I was initially skeptical of the Viking product (due to the comparably low price), I've been extremely satisfied. I've never lost pictures (or video) or had any trouble w/data transfer. It does its job. In fact, I'm so satisfied w/my experience that I've just ordered an additional 128MB Viking SmartMedia card (for additional storage on an upcoming photo-intensive vacation). While experiences w/different cameras may vary, I definitely recommend this product.
Note: For most 2MP digital photographers, I think the 64MB card is probably plenty; however, at the low prices Viking offers, I'm choosing to get an additional card as a "failsafe" (in the event that I run out of space) so that I don't ever have to lug my laptop w/me on vacation. If you're using something beyond 2MP you'd probably be better off just considering the 128MB card, though.
6 Excellent Memory Card at the right price
This card works well with my Olympus D380 Digital camera. Olympus only gives 8mb with their camera which would be about the equivalent of one roll of standard film. This memory card can hold 128 photos at high resolution and probably twice that at lower resolution. This would be the equivalent of 5 1/3 rolls of film undeveloped. And there is no compromise of image quality by buying this card. I'm 100% pleased with this
7 So Far So Good
Hmm...this product fulfills its advertised function. Holds memory quiet well, without umm, leaking it.
8 DOA, almost
I managed to get one set of photos stored and downloaded before the card died.
9 Great for taking more photos without running out of space.
Using this with my Canon A50 allows me to take approximately 280 photos before I have to change cards. Have used it for almost a year without any problems. Great value!
10 Great Price - Great Card
This is our most recent Smart Media card and we have had no compatibility issues with it. We've been using the card for a year now with no problems in the following devices: Toshiba PDR-M60 digital cam, Lexar card reader, Dazzle card reader. The 64MB card holds something like 200 pictures at the highest quality in our 2 megapixel camera, so we have been more than satisified. If you've got a 3 megapixel or higher digital camera or you're using it to store tunes, I recommend jumping up to the 128MB Viking card. These are great cards at very reasonable prices.
11 Great bang for the buck
It has slowed down my camera significantly from the 2 MB card that was included with it, but I don't think that is a fault of the card, but rather a limitation of the media type. I believe that is why people are going to compact flash type memory cards now.
12 Very pleased
This is a low-priced, high-quality card. It works perfectly with my Olympus C-2000 Zoom. I am very pleased. Viking makes very nice products.
13 Nice balance price/storage.
For the price this is the perfect size storage medium. More storage costs a tad more than double, and less storage is, well, LESS. For what I do 64mb is a good size. I can take short videos in good qualty, or tons (what I call tons)of hi-res pics. Most of what I do is for meager little web sites I have, so the low res is fine, and dozens upon dozens of 640x480 pics can be taken. Don't forget. It's not just usable for digital camera pics. In a Smartport you can use it just like any hard drive. Keep files on it and carry them around, not like the 100 floppies it would replace. MP3s are another great use. Smart Media is the Perfect Media, and right now 64mb is the perfect size.
14 Works Great.
I bought the Viking 64 MB Smart Media card to add more data storage to my Olympus C-3020 digital camera. The Viking card worked perfectly without any format or setup. The price is much lower than other cards of similar size without any trade-off in performance. The extra memory this card provides allows for 82 pictures at the default setting in the Olympus Camera. If you have been trying to budget you shots with the small card that comes with the Olympus camera, I highly recomend this upgrade. It allows for more picture-taking fun without having to worry about running out of memory. ...
15 Good product.
This storage device is easy to use and is pretty durable. I have a couple of them, and have not had any trouble what-so-ever.
16 Works just fine
This is a fun little device to put in my mp3 player, a Samsung YP-700H. It also works in PDA's perfectly, because a friend of mine has one with this exact same memory card. I can only assume it works fine with digital cam's. As far as mp3 players go, this is sure to work. If you have a low memory mp3 player, get this if it can expand. It works wonders.
17 Great memory at a low cost
Reliable. Fast. Cheap. Great for a digital camera or mp3 player. I use it for my Olympus D490Z and it works great. Beats the stock memory card that Olympus provides. I use the stock for panaromic shots only (which I never do anyway). I went on a long vacation last year and still wasn't able to fill up the card. Great purchase at a low price.
18 Buy this one!!!
Other memory cards are higher priced because of the brand name, but chose this card because amazon offered a low price of [money]. I inserted the card right out-of-the-package into my Olympus camera and didn't have any problems. Why pay more money for some other brand, when you can achieve the same results with "Viking products"? If you are looking for a memory card for your digital camera, consider Viking products. I think "Viking" puts out a superior product in comparison to their competitors.
19 NOT BAD BUT ONE PROBLEM
Ok so far so good I have had no problems. But one thing that I do not like is that,it comes with 5 songs on there already and you cant seem to delete them off the card and it takes up 2mb of space. I am paying for 64mb not 62 so I am pretty annoyed at this. But other then that it works great.
20 Great with the Olympus 3040
The media card is working great with the Olympus 3000. No problems, no issues, just some great photos. With my 12 year old son, he likes to take the digital photos and if it doesn't turn out right (he is getting better), the photo gets deleted. The media card has shown no ill effect to the massive amount of deletes and adds that the media card had put up with.
A great way to let a young future photographer to practice and learn by the mistakes made WITHOUT having to wait for the photo (and COST) to get developed to get feedback.
21 Works flawlessly in my Olympus D-510 camera
Works flawlessly in my Olympus D-510 camera
22 Works like a charm!
I have a Rio 500, and it's so nice to be able to double the memory in less than 6 minutes. It's hard to find the link to upgrade the firmware on Rio's site so just get the FTP link from this one. It's quick and easy. You just hook up your Rio to you computer, run the firmware upgrade program (before installing the memory). Once that's done, plug your memory in according to the shadow line up on the machine and open up your file transfer program.
Just remember that you now have two memory locations. You didn't just double the original. So you need to format the extra memory seperately. Once you do that, your good to go.
23 works
Works fine, just put it in & you're all set. Not much to say about it. You can use a PNY smartcard usb reader (...) to transfer photos faster to your computer & mine works well with this.
24 Great deal.....
.... perfect expansion card for my Nomad IIc mp player and also fits my Fuji FinePix 4700 digital camera. 64MB for this price and quality is a great deal.

26 What can you say about a smartmedia card?
it works...
it's big...
when I bought it it was cheap..
never loses data..
ummm...
oh! nifty clear plastic case! oh wait, that's normal. good card, that's it.
27 Can't ask for more...
Except for a 128mb SmartMedia card. But the 64mb works fine. It holds 101 pictures in the 'Fine' setting on my Fuji A101 Digi-Cam. Its amazing how many pictures this thing holds. The nice little accessory that the Viking card comes with is a hard plastic case--so that it does not get damaged while carrying it in your case or pocket. Its nice to have the ability to store the equivalent of about 4 rolls of 24 exp. film in 1 tiny little card. I believe this is the maximum that most SM readers can register conistantly. I recommend it to anyone with a Digicam and likes taking lots of pictures. My only gripe(this applies to all SM cards)is that I wish the cards were more sturdy. I feel like I'm going to break the little card with my hands everytime I remove it from the camera. But other than that, its a great product. Get one!
28 Almost as good as Olympus Media
Nearly the same as Olympus Media, except the panorama feature. Definatley a good buy!
29 Very nice add on.
I bought this as an accessery for my husband's new digital camera. He is a serious, amateur photographer, and he is still raving about having the extra picture storage space. This disc has enough room for a full day's shooting, whether for fun or work. At 2 megapixel resolution it holds about 80 photos.
30 Beware: Does NOT work with RIO 500
I downloaded the firmware upgrade 2.15 and installed it on my Rio 500, however the RIO does not detect the RAM. I read somewhere on Diamond's website that some SmartMedia comes preformatted with the file structure for the typical camera and that I should reformat the card back to its blank state. Now just HOW am I suppose to do this? Remember: the RIO software cant recognize that the card exists. I have downloaded every update or patch I could find for the RIO, but I am at least for now stuck with two of these 64 MB paperweights. One of them was going to be a Christmas gift - glad I had the sense to test it beforehand.
31 Excellent Product - Price a little high
This gadget with the FlashPath adapter is awesome. I would suggest it for anyone who needs reliable data storage transfer. You simply load the driver to a computer and bang, the FlashPath adapter immediately gives you a 32/64/128 MB "Floppy"[depending on the flash chip you buy]. (...)
32 Excellent card
I have been using this card for almost one year and have not had any problems with it. The chinsey 16mb card that came with my olympus C-3030 camera broke, however. I do not know how this happened, since I always take good care of it. I would reccomend any quality card like this, and a large card can make your picture taking a lot more fun. It is a pain to run out of picture space when you are in the field and do not have a access to a computer.
33 Great quality at a great price!
I used the 64 MB SmartMedia Card by Viking on our trip to Europe this past September and was very much impressed with the quality of the pictures I had printed. This is an excellent item for a great price. The Olympus equivalent costs at least $40 to $50 more! This is a great deal.
34 Thank god this card is out there!
I tried (and reviewed) the memory card that Palm puts out for its Palm m500 & m505. This card FAR surpassed it. I am so glad that I tried it. I have not had a single problem with this item. It installed easily and it has run EVERY kind of application that I have put on it, even ones that are in multiple files. This is in stark contrast to the memory cards sold by Palm. Also this one is much less expensive by the MB compared to other flash cards I have seen.
I heartily recommend this card to anyone who has a Palm m500 or m505.
35 Max Mem, Min Price
I needed a memory card for my Rio 500. After searching around I found the VIking 64MB smart media card. Its great. Its 64MB and its smart. It went out and passed my finals while I overslept. Just kidding. But seriously, it works so great! I don't know how I lived with the puny 64MB that the Rio came with. This memory card is just so absolutely awesome that I went and bought another one two weeks later so now I can carry a ton of tunes and a bunch of audiobooks from Audible.
36 Viking and Olympus Digital
The Viking 64MB SmartMedia card works flawlessly in my Olympus C3030 digital camera. True, it cannot process panoramas like the Olympus brand card, but that's why I keep the original 16MB card that came with the camera.
This is altogether a great piece of equipment at a very good price, and I recommend it highly.
37 This is what you need for your Rio 500.
I bought one of these cards to double my Rio 500 song capacity. With the new firmware posted by Rio at their site (which allows Rio 500 units to accept 64 MB SmartMedia cards), it worked perfectly. I had to format the card a few times (like 5!) before it accepted songs. However, I was using the utilities included in the MusicMatch Jukebox, so it may have been a defect on the software rather than the hardware. The card itself comes with an individual clear-plastic case, and once formatted, worked (and keeps working) without a hitch . I think this is a fantastic product and the price is the lowest one around (even at auctions, it is extremely hard to find a price this low. Believe me, I tried)
38 Not Reliable
I purchased two of these prior to a two week trip to Europe. I tested them prior to my trip on my Olympus D450z camera, and they worked find before and during the trip. However after returning home one of the cards had failed. I even sent the card to a data recovery service, but they were unable to recover any of the photos. I lost three days (about 150 pictures) worth of photos.
39 Viking vs Olympus
I purchased the Viking 64MB SmartMedia over the Olympus.... I am glad I did. My Olympus C-2040 came with an 8MB card. It allows the use of the panorama feature. This is a fun feature, but not worth the extra cost unless you do a lot of panorama shooting. The Viking card works perfectly for everything else. My 64MB card initially stores 128 HQ (1600x1200) pictures; in practice I have had 150 HQ pictures on board. I usually shoot at 1024x768, and have never maxed out the card.
40 Do the math.
I have been buying Viking in both SmartMedia and CompactFlash itinerations for the last 2 years. I've never had a problem and I find they are priced more competitively than the other leading brand. However, I always buy by the dollar-per-meg calculation, and currently this number should always be less than 1. Also, if you're looking to save $, shop the same card for a week or two and you might see some serious price fluctuations.
41 WHY BUY ANY OTHER BRAND?
i've bought two of these recently to go with my olympus3030zoom. they work perfectly. why pay more for another brand?
42 Great product from Viking! 64 MB
I purchased a 64MB smartmedia April/2001 and just went to Yellowstone last week (Aug/2001) and took over 180 pictures. My camera is an Olympus 3000 zoom. Get the rechargeable batteries. You'll be thankful later. Great product!
43 It works perfect everytime!!
The price is right and it works perfect everytime! What more can be said. I have several smart media cards from different manufacuters and have never had a problem with any of them, BUY THE CHEAPEST ONE! If you want to spend more money buy a better camera thats where your money will make a difference.
44 Great product, just not for rio 300...
I found this by searching for "rio 300" I thought WOW! I can put some of my favorite cds on my Rio special edition (I would then have a total of 128 mbs on there...) but when I went to run it... whammo... rio 300 only supports upto 32 exrta mbs! Ouch. Luckily I had considered this, and only bought one - reverting to plan b and using this for my Digital Camera. As a product, it works GREAT ... basicly unlimited pictures.. With my currently set quality settings (medium size pictures, medium quality) I can fit over 1,100 pictures. MORE than Ill ever need at a time (unless I take it to Europe... ;) ) A nice little ditty... buy it!
~ Andy
45 Quite simply: It works exactly like it is supposed to
I use this Viking 64 MB Smartmedia Card in my Olympus C-2040 digital camera. I did not have to format the card the first time I used it. It works just like it is supposed to and does the job correctly. Quite frankly, Smartmedia is Smartmedia so it is the low price that sets Viking's products apart from its competitors.
Note: this card will not support the panaramic function of Olympus digital cameras. Only Olympus' Smartmedia cards will support this feature. But,if that is not an issue, this card will work fine in your Olympus camera.
46 Gotta have it
Bought this for my new Fuji Coolpix 1400. Took the camera to Europe with this card, and took over 125 pictures. I would have been able to take only about 1/5 of that number with the card that came with the camera. It works, the price is right... what more is there to say?
47 Used with a Rio 500 player
I use this with a Rio 500 player with great success. Two things that are important though: 1. You much get the firm-ware upgrade from Diamond Multimedia for the Rio 500 (at least the older models) to recognize 64mb cards.
2. Once you have formatted the card for use with a Rio 500, you cannot use it with other SmartMeadia devices.
That said, the card has worked flawlessly over the year I have owned it. I highly recommend it to bring your Rio 500 up to 2 hours of cd-quality music (I record at 128bits).
48 vacation memories
I received the Viking 64 MB Smart Media card just before going on vacation. The price was better than I had found anywhere and as it turned out I took most of our vacation pictures on one card. All came through flawlessly. Shopping with Amazon was as simple as one click and the card arrived just a few days later.
49 Viking Smart media card 64 MB
I use the card in connection with a Olympus C 3000. I get 86 images in 2048 *1536 standard JPEG compression. The card worked right away, when I installed it in the camera.
50 Who could ask for more?
I have the fuji 40i digital camera with mp3 player built in and movie camera with sound feature also. What a super camera, so small. But I found after loading my mp3's and taking my movies, I had no memory left for pics. (fuji comes with a 16meg card) So I read the reviews on Amazon and noticed people said the Viking cards worked on the fuji cameras. (fuji needs a special ID memory smartcard for audio) So I purchased my Viking 64 meg smartcard from Amazon and I'm thrilled. According to what I have read , this is the maximum card you can use with this camera. Everything works. I can now take 51 pics in the 2400x1800 mode while holding my favorite mp3's and movie in the camera. Life is beautiful! Super price (can you believe the drop in smart card pricing?) Thank you ,Amazon and Viking!
51 Incompatibility without software upgrade
I purchased a Viking 64 Meg Smart Media card for use in my Olympus D-150 camera. It worked fine in the camera but when I went to transfer the photos to my computer via my FlashPoint Floppy Disk Adapter, the Smart Media card was not even recognized. Hence, I could not transfer the photos into my computer. My other Smart Media cards (Olympus and SanDisk) did not have this problem. I subsequently learned the Floppy Disk Adapter from SanDisk had upgraded software available for download which enabled 64 and 128 Meg cards to be read. The Viking card now works like a charm!!!
52 Want to know how much smart media cards can hold?
Here is general guidline of about how many pictures a smart media card can hold. This list was made up using a 2.1 mega pixel camera at 1600x1200 resolution. (The Fuji Finepix 2300). So if you have a higher mega pixel camera the amount of pictures it can hold will decrease and you will be able to hold a few more pictures with a lower mega pixel model. But these numbers will give you a basic idea so you will know what capacity of smart media card is for you. (1600x1200 resolution) Example: Listed is the card capacity with the amount of photos it can hold in the camera's Fine (best mode), Normal, and Basic photo modes. (Fine,Normal,Basic)
8 MB (9,19,39) 16 MB (19,39,75) 32 MB (40,82,155) 64 MB (82,170,330) 128 MB (168,350,700)
*Most camera's normal mode takes pictures of good enough quality for most photos you will take, unless the camera is under 1.3 mega pixels.
*Many cameras come with a 8MB memory card. But that usually isn't enough memory for most people, here is what I would suggest purchasing:
My suggestions:
1-1.9 mega pixel camera - 8MB or 16 MB
2-2.9 mega pixel camera - 32 MB
3 mega pixels and up - 64 MB
53 Excellent value!
I bought an MP3 player and found the internal 64 MB was just not enough. This Viking SmartMedia card was the least expensive I found when I shopped around. It comes in its own little plastic holder, was a snap to install in the Rio, and works as it should.
54 reliable brand..
I loaded it to my Fuji FinePix1400 Digital Camera.
It works great. I doesn't require formatting.
Now, my camera holds up to 1000 pictures..
+64mb :)
+good brand
+cheap
+comes with a safety box
55 Don't worry
I was a little nervous that the 64 meg smartmedia would work in my Diamond Rio 500. The firmwear upgrade from Rio works perfectly although the installation instructions didn't exactly match the install procedure. It was simple enough to figure out and now I enjoy almost 2 hours of music. Well worth the price.
56 Works Great In Olympus Cameras!!!
When I slapped this card into my Olympus C-2100 Ultra Zoom camera I expected to have to go through a crazy formatting process (as per my Olympus manual), but it worked as soon as I threw it in there. The only thing (which I expected) is that the Olympus Panoramic function cannot be used, but doesn't matter that much because that function isn't that great to begin with. But for the price, this card is definitely worth the price!!!
57 Worked Right Out of the Box
I have an Olympus D490 digital camera. I bought this Viking Smart Media card because it was the best price that I found for a 64MB card. The Olympus manual said that I probably would have to format non-Olympus brand cards. But this one worked right out of the box, with no formatting necessary. I am able to store over 600 SQ quality or about 128 HQ quality pictures on this card at one time.
58 it works perfectly
a killing combination with my Fuji FinePix 40i. now my camera can take 200+ 1024x960 pics, great for travelling around. when i go to a trip, i usually load it up with mp3 songs and then delete them when i need to take more photos. i am thinking of getting another one for my trip to europe. it is much more convenient than carrying a lot of 35mm films (although i usually still bring my 35mm camera for non-casual shooting). not to mention the fact that i don't need to spend money to develop films. i highly recommend it.
59 I Can't Believe It!
64 MB on something not much larger than a commemorative postage stamp! Science fiction--right here, right now! I still remember when a 5 MB Winchester (hard disk) cost $5,000 and more people used cassette drives with their 6800's than had diskette drives (with a whopping 160K of storage).
This card works just fine with my Creative Labs Nomad II MG. It holds about an hour of music, depending on how well the MP3s compressed. No complaints, except cost. And I can't really believe that I'm grousing about $1/MB for a flash disk!
Get one for your MP3 player. Get one for your camera. Get a bunch! Now, if I could just find a good storage case for these--I'd hate to lose the little guys ...
60 Viking 64 MB 3.3 Volt SmartMedia Card
The only reason that I can rate this a 4 is the customer service that provided. I had purchased this card, taken on 6 pictures on it, placed it a Lexmar Card reader to pull the pictures off, the pictures got scrambled. Placed the card back into my Olympus 3000 and it wanted to reformat the card, but when it tried it gave a Card Error. I contacted the provider, via e-mail, explaned what had happened and they immediately shipped me a new one, without requesting the old one first at no cost to you. This was unlike the Viking, who requires you to send it back to them "certified" at your expense, before shipping you a new one.
61 Quality ID Smartmedia card
I bought this card for my Fuji FinePix 40i Camera/MP3 player. The Fuji's MP3 player requires ID SmartMedia card. As it downloads the MP3 file, it locks the mp3 file down to that specific card so that you can't give it to your friends. From what I understand most new SmartMedia cards are ID Compatible.
This card works fine. No speed differences from the original card that shipped with the camera. No compatibility problems at all. The camera says I can take 77 high res pictures with this (at 2400 x 1800 Normal).
62 Excellent Product
Got a FujiFilm MX1200 Digital Camera recently. It came with 4MB smartmedia card. Highest recomended value of card from the Owners manual was 32MB, got the 64MB and tried it out. It works a treat. Where before I could store 9 images at normal res I can now store 180. Format takes a blink of an eye. I have to get some sort of reader for it as a serial connection downloading 180 images will take an age. I will buy a 2nd one for when I go on vacation.
63 Cheap and works with my Fujifilm FinePix 40i
The price is REALLY good! And it works like a charm with my Finepix 40i which needed a smartmedia with ID for storing of mp3 files besides the digital photos.
64 GOOD PRODUCT FOR DIGITAL CAMERA
Well, here's my two cents. I just got an Olympus C-2100 10X zoom lens camera for Christmas. Before getting the card, the best I could get at 2.1 megapixel resolution was about 15 frames or a 23 second video. After getting the 64 MB card, I can now get 128 frames or a 3 minute video. The cards are worth it, especially if you want to roam freely without having to go back to your laptop or PC to download all the time, and if you have the money and the inclination, 64 MB is better than 32 MB or 16 MB.
65 Excellent SmartMedia Card for the money !
There is not much to this review - It came in the mail (sooner than I thought), installed it - and worked as promised ! ! The best deal for a SmarMedia card of this capacity. Flawless compatibility with my digital camara. Highly recommended !
66 Viking 64MB SmartMedia Card for my Olympus D490Z
Just got my Memory in today, and what a Deal ! I recommend it for anyone who wants to save money for there Olympus Camera. I can store 266 SQ-HIGH Pictures, and I also have the Viking PCMCIA Reader/Writer on order so I don't have to download so much.
67 Why Not
It works, and isn't that all that really matters? It's way cheaper, and works great. I can now hold up to 650 pictures on my Olympus D460, and I'm very happy about that! If you're going to buy SmartMedia, buy this!
68 At this price, you can't beat it!
At $99.99, you can't go wrong. This will work in my Nomad mp3 player, and Fugi digital camera. I've been waiting for a great deal on SmartMedia, and this is it!
69 It is what it is.
It is what it is, and it does what it does. 64 meg add-in for my Rio 500. More songs, no hassles. Plug in, format, go. 'nuff said!
70 Great for MP3 Players
Although another card was listed as the accessory, it was back ordered. I did some looking around and found out that this card is actually a lot better price per megabyte compared to the 32MB version.
This card allows me to have an extra one full hour of CD Quality music for my RIO MP3 player. It is very dependable and the price is well worth the extra half hour of music.
Until they come out with a 128MB smart media card (still months down the road), this is the best one on the market.
71 1000 PICS in a match book that is as thin as a dime !
This card enables me to take about 1000 pictures (at the lowest resolution) with my Olympus 460. This is the largest smartmedia card you can currently buy and only has one minor draw back. The panorama feature is not available on Olympus cameras that have a panorama feature since this is not an Olympus brand card. Over all this is a great product. With such a high data capacity card as smartmedia USB reader is almost a must. I can download the 64 MB that are on this card in under 2 Minutes with a USB reader. Before with the serial connection that came with my camera it took (or felt like) hours! This is also the cheaper of the 2 64MB Smartmedia currently on amazon now.
