1 Great Value!
You can't go wrong buying this camera kit. The camera bag is the perfect size for a small camcorder or a SLR camera and all the accoutrements. It is easy to carry- shoulder strap and handle included. It is very well padded to protect your equipment. And it looks good, too! The tripod has three telescoping legs that are sturdy and easy to extend and retract. It does not wobble or tilt and holds the camera or camcorder well. The middle bar is plastic but that piece bears no weight so I doubt it will be a problem. The tripod is light weight and easy to carry. This can be invaluable as camcorders are difficult to steady by hand for any length of time. The cleaning kit (tissue paper, fluid, and air brush) is fine for quickly clearing lenses, eye pieces and screens of dust or light smudges. At the current price this is a steal.
2 Lightweight
This is a very lightweight, standard still camera tripod. The carrying case isn't big enough for much else then a still camera. Take it for a back up if someone gives it to you for free.
3 Decent kit for beginners
I received this kit free with my digital camcorder and find the bag adequate, the tripod quite good. The lens cleaner is also OK.
It is easily worth paying up to $$$$$ for this kit.
4 The Camcorder stand is horrible.!!! Very fragile.
I hardly used the Camcorder stand thrice and one of the legs came off.!!! The Camcorder stand is really no good. I suggest that you should not see the stand as it would have a BAD amazon site loyalty for the customers.
The SCL 770 - Samsung Camcorder is great and the bag is also good.
5 Not that bad
It has tripod (ok not great) and bag just good enough to carry some MiniDV & Song Camcorder TVR25 plus Canon Digital camera S30. Cleaning kit is ok. Overall it ok & Bag is good. It was free with my order.
6 Perfect for Taking Slides!
I needed to take some slides and I was searching and searching for an affordable tripod for my camera - yes, my CAMERA. I wanted a good, inexpensive, simple tripod for taking slides and this tripod is all of the above. It's not the fanciest thing out there but it is sturdy and flexible enough to get the job done. The tripod comes with the standard screw attachment that will work with most every film camera and some digital cameras (check the bottom of your camera - if there is screw hole, this tripod should work for you). Did I mention this tripod is affordable? It is - and is pretty high quality .... I got exactly what I wanted PLUS a camera bag that shall double as a holiday gift for my mother. I have yet to use the cleaning kit, but I am sure it will be handy in the future.
This is a good camera tripod - as it is lightweight/portable and will have no problem holding a camera still for short slide exposures. But I don't think it would be ideal for outdoor stationary video on a windy day. This is not a heavy duty tripod.
As for the bag? It's cute and padded well. Inside there is a padded velcro part that can be adjusted to form two inner compartments. The shoulder strap is not all that attractive, but is detachable.
7 It was free, so hey...
It fits my camera fine and it was free, so no complaints here!
8 How to attach it ?
Simple question: How to attach to a camera? What's the function of the key behind the platform ? What they call quick release platform ?
9 It does the job!
The bag holds the Panasonic camcorder well. It's a bit bulky, but does the job. It has pockets inside to store extra batteries, etc.
10 Junk
The bag is the only good thing. The tripod is ... The only reason that I got this is that it came free with the camera that I bought. If you are looking for a tripod, get an expensive one, you won't be sorry. If you can't afford or justify buying an expensive tripod, borrow or rent one.
11 not worth the money at all!
OK, I was stupid enough to not read the reviews and buy this product. I returned it the day I received it. if you are taller then 3 feet it's not worthy. or maybe you like wobblely images? DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! even if you can get it for free... it will annoy you more than anything.
12 They should pay you to take this item
I got it for free after buying a camcorder. It simple terms it is a real piece of garbage. The bag can't fit a small lunch let alone a camcorder, and if you vaule your equipment don't use the tripod it is flimsy. Good thing I didn't pay for this.
13 Camcorder kit
BR>Never pricing the items in a store I thought it would be a good deal. Found out it wasn't. The bag was too small, the tripod to flimsy. Went to a local department store and bought a leather bag, twice the size and a very sturdy tripod with more options for the same price. In my opinion this product was over priced.
14 3 stars for the price
the thing was free, if i had paid for it i would have returned it... the tripod is too flimsy to be of any real use and the bag is too small to hold anything but a stil camera...
15 Okay for free
Would not be worth the money to me.
16 Starter kit
I get this kit for free buying a camcorder. I am not too sure what the market price for this kit is and how it compares to other products in the market. However, I do find the kit to be very useful, particulaly the bag, and to a smaller extent the tripod. Quality is so so, but very acceptable for me since I only use it every once in a while.
17 good considering it was free
I'm happy with this kit. It came free with my camcorder order. The bag and lens kit was handy. The tripod I've found to be so-so. It works but still seems flimsy in some respects. All around this is a decent kit.
18 Hey, it was free
Bag: Best deal of the bunch. Reasonable quality. Not too big, but (just) big enough to hold the Sharp digital camcorder, battery, charger, cables, 2 tapes, and a smartmedia case.
Tripod: [Not very good]. Thin aluminum. Somewhat wobbly. Definitely not on par with even a low-end SLIK or other quality tripod.
Cleaning kit: Nice to have some cleaning solution, wipes, and a lens brush. Probably would cost a couple bucks at Wal-Mart, and this was free, but nothing to write home about.
Overall, no complaints because it was free with my camcorder. If the free deal runs out, here's what I'd recommend: Go to your local discount department store. Buy a bag (similar bags go for $10-15). Buy the lens stuff for a couple bucks. With your remaining cash (or for $5-10 more), buy a quality tripod. [Amazon.com] has an Ambico V-0566 57" for $29.99
I wouldn't buy the tripod for any amount of money (it will probably end up in a garage sale - maybe somebody else will pay a couple bucks). I was hoping that the quick release shoe would fit in my SLIK, but it doesn't.
But hey, it was free.
19 Only get it if it is free....
I got this free with the sharp video camera I bought. I honestly was expecting a little bit better quality. The tripod is pretty flimsly and I'm not sure how long it will hold up before something breaks. But it mounts the video camera and my digital camera just fine, though when I try to move (pan) with the video camera the tripod wobbles, which makes it almost more worthwhile to just hold it in my hand. But for taking still pictures I guess it would work better. The bag isn't as big as the picture makes it out to be either.
Like I said, if it is free, then you can't beat the price! :) But otherwise, buy a better tripod if you are looking for one.
20 Great for the price I paid
I got this tripod and bag for free when I bought a video camera. They work fine for the things I do.
The tripod, fully extended, is about 4 feet tall and collapses small enough to fit in an airline carryon. For occasional use it is good, but if you plan on using this every day, the camera attachment is a little flimsy. Also the design makes it slow to change between multiple cameras. Otherwise, the tripod works great.
My digital video camera fits into the bag with no problems. The small size of the bag limits what I can carry with the camera. Without crushing things in, I can carry the camera, a few blank tapes, the remote control for the camera, and a few other odds and ends. I could possibly get the AC adapter for the camera into the main compartment with the camera but am afraid I might scratch the camera if I did that. If you will use the camera and don't need to carry the AC adapter with it, this bag will be good because it is very compact.
Since this was free, it is hard for me to gauge if it is worth the list price or not. This totally fulfills all of the purposes I need it to (occasional use, take as an airline carryon).
21 Bad deal
Do yourself a favor and don't buy this junk. It is very flimsy.
22 Cheap, Low-Quality, Sucks
If you are not getting this free, don't even bother paying for the shipping on it. It SUCKS! Very low quality bag; after 1 week, it was falling apart! The tripod is like mounting your $500 camcorder on toothpicks.
There must be a reason why it is free with any camcorder purchase!
23 Worth the money!!!!!
Considering that it was free, it was well worth the money. I already have a few tripods, so this one is a good back-up. One thing I like about it is, although it is kind of flimsy, it's very lightweight and transports easily.
As for the bag, I was sure that I wouldnt use it. It turns out that I will probably use often for keeping all of the accessories in. The bag is the perfect size for keeping everything together.
This was my first experience with amazon.com and overall I was pleased. My only gripe is that they waited 3 days to ship an item that was in stock.
24 A nice starter kit for free!
It's free and it's decent quality. I wouldn't pay the recommended price for the kit, but it is a nice perk when you get it free.
25 Vititar Camcorder Kit
This value pack was free with purchase, otherwise I would of sent back. The tripod is not vary sturdy and the camera bag is a little small the lense cleaning kit is optional can be used with other this as well. If you are buying this item and are on a budget then it will work but other wise check out other items.
26 OK case and OK tripod
Not bad, if part of a free offer.
27 Good price for little extras for your camcorder
I love the storage bag that comes in this package! It is small, but holds the basics nicely and you are not lugging ten tons around with you. The tripod doesn't sit very high up(maybe waist high) but I say again for the price, it does the job. I am glad we invested a little more to start our camcorder ownership with these "extras".
28 convenient tripod!
This tripod is actually good. First of all, it's very light that you can carry it to whereever you want. Secondly, it can be extended to almost 4 feet high, and when it's fully folded, it only takes a few space. In other words, it fits almost every ranging from a petite size person to a tall person.
29 Good stuff
I like both the tripod and the bag. However, the tripod socket
of my camcorder Sharp VL-WD225U did not fit into the tripod.
I am trying to find out how I can correct this. Christopher Vu
30 This is more than a good deal.
(...) This is more than a good deal. The tripod is more than 4 feet tall. Fully extended and with the camera attached it is nearly six feet tall. People would buy this kit on their own so combined with the low camcorder price this is a steel.
31 This is a $10 Kit
This kit is something that you would find at a flea market for $10 bucks. I was very disappointed in the tripod. When I attempted to pull the legs out, on the legs actually popped out form the plastic top of the tripod. I noticed than that only two drops of glue had been applied to hold the cheap metal and plastic together. I would be afraid to leave my camera attached to it without a hand on it at all times. The tripod is so lightweight.
As for the bag. It isn't that bad. My camera fits in nicely, and it has a shoulder strap.
The cleaning kit is laughable at best. A brush like device, some cleaner and a few cleaning sheets.
No instructions were included, but it's all self-explanatory.
Overall: Don't buy this! I didn't..it came free with a camcorder I bought.
32 Whoo-Hoo! Free Stuff! :)
This Kit came FREE with my camera, and I'm pretty happy with it.
The Bag is fairly well padded, and has enough extra room for all the cables & stuff.
The Tripod is better than what I expected, although it is not super-sturdy. It would probably be shaky when used outside on a windy day, but otherwise it's fine.
33 Worth it.... if it's free!
I got this for free with my camcorder and it is definitely a good package for a beginner.
Decent tripod lifts high and steady, although I get the feeling it could break with extended use. The bag is great for starters, but the cleaning kit is just some alcohol and a little blow brush.
Wouldn`t buy it, but good for what it is.
34 No instructions
I searched the box thoroughly, but found no instructions. As a direct result, because of my lack of knowledge of tripods, I broke it. Oops.
35 Not bad for being free
(...) It's actually not 4 feet tall, it is if you dont extend the neck. I'm 5'9" and its just about the right size for me. The case isn't too bad, a little on the cheap end but what do you expect (...)?
36 Good free, not worth $
Got this kit free by buying a camcorder. It's okay free, but wouldn't spend $ for it. Tripod is very basic, no vertical gear mechanism, no plumb indicator, tendency to "stick" when panning horizontally. I don't feel secure transporting the camcorder in the bag; when closed there are openings on both sides of the bag where stuff can drop out, and the single zippered pocket is too small to carry much.
37 Fine kit if you get it for free...
I got this kit free with the purchase of a camcorder, but that's about all it's worth. I wouldn't use the bag, and the tripod is flimsy and short about 4' tall. But this is definately not for pro or semi-pro use. It's mainly for amateur usagae or really short people. I wouldn't buy it unless your family is filled with really short people... Otherwise you'll be looking up a lot of noses and giving unflattering images of their chins.

39 Good if you get as part of a package
The tripod is nice enough, same quality as any other tripod you might find in a package deal. Bag isn't what I would use to transport a camcorder. Cleaning kit is like any other cleaning kit as before. Not worth 39.95, but worth it if you get it as part of a package.
