Vivitar's Series 1 28-300mm AF zoom lens is made to work with your Canon autofocus single-lens reflex camera. This lens has an aperture range of f/4.0 to f/16 and a minimum focusing distance of 6.2 feet. Its macro ratio is 1:12x at 35mm, and it has a 77mm thread diameter.
1 Overall Lens
This lens is great for outdoor and travel photography, when you don't have space to bring a lot of gear. The zoom works, sliding the outer barrel forward and back, and the autofocus works well in outdoors, at day, with enough light, and I can assure that works very well at Tv mode shooting dolphins in motion, the pictures were very sharp. It has a little problem with low light situations, but it possibly be a camera concern (Rebel 2000) and not a lens trouble. So it's a very good option for a cheap lens. If you are an amateur you will not notice any difference between a picture taken with this lens and another taken with lenses over the $300 Range.
