1 Your Diet is Driving Me Crazy
I work as a nutrition counselor. Let me tell you, everything contained in Your Diet is Driving Me Crazy was right on target. The advice provided by Sass demonstrates she has years of experience working with food issues helping clients overcome them. Her expertise is useful for practitioners and for the layperson whose partner has wacky food issues. I highly recommend this book.
2 Finally!
Finally! A book that addresses the food fights that couples experience. This book is chocked full of great advice, funny scenarios and more!
3 A Practical Guide for Resolving Food Conflicts
A practical guide for resolving food conflicts and more. This easy to read book gave us a few good tips on how to deal with our different food preferences. However, many of the conflict resolution techniques are applicable to resolving other family issues. A must read for those who want to live happier lives.
4 At Long Last!
Finally! Here is a book that addresses one of the most important, but rarelly acknowledged, issues related to eating: relationships. I was thoroughly fascinated by this look at how inter-personal relationships can affect our eating habits. And I plan to give copies of this book to a number of my friends!
5 Excellent book for those who have "food fights"
For anyone who has ever argued about chips v. crudite with their husband, this is the book for you. Very insightful and realistic look at how we eat and how it affects those around us, including how someone ELSE eats effects our own eating habits (anyone remember dating that guy and gaining 10 lbs. on his diet of beer and wings?). Fun little vignettes and quizzes keep the book flowing. A must read for anyone struggling with their partners' eating habits.
6 We've been waiting for a book like this!
Finally! My husband and I have been wrestling with the food issues tackled in this book since we first moved in together more than three years ago. "Your Diet is Driving Me Crazy" gets it exactly right. My husband can eat anything he wants (and does!), while I have struggled with my weight for years. After reading this book, we are now armed with real, practical and sane solutions to the food problems that often threaten to overwhelm our relationship. Authors Sass and Maher clearly know their stuff and realize that food is, for many couples, a highly complex subject touching on family histories, self-esteem and other emotional issues.

Bravo to the authors of this book for creating a terrific guide for the millions of couples out there who are not in sync when it comes to their diets and who struggle to build a home where food issues don't sabotage their lives. Anyone in a relationship will benefit from the sound advice offered in this excellent guide.

7 A Different Kind of Food Fight
My wife gave me this book as a not so subtle hint about how we fight a lot about what we eat. She diets frequently and feels that I'm not much of a help in that department. Well, I have to say, I'm not much for these types of books, but it definitely helped me to understand what she goes through and how I can help her while not curbing my style too much at the dinner table.
It also talks about "food cops." Those are people that tell you what to eat and when to eat it. My wife used to do that a lot with me, but since reading the book she understands why it upsets me.
The book gives a lot of tips on how you and your wife can compromise on the foods you eat to keep a happy relationship. I still wish my wife would have a pizza with me once in a while, but at least now I understand why it's not a good idea to just bring one home without asking her.
8 Help for longtime married couples
At my last book club meeting i brought a copy of this book for all to see. we are a group of older women all over 55 and most married for a long time. it was so interesting to hear of all the different problems people have regarding food issues and even more interesting to know there are solutions for the problems. Like the book, most people presented their problems in an amusing way but admitted to the fact that there were serious consequences to their problems and very happy to look to the book for answers. They all thought it would be a valuable tool.
9 a must read!!!
A fun and informative book! I would recommend for newlyweds and any couple living together for the first time.
10 a must read!!!!!!
Fun and informative at the same time! I learned so much about how my habits affect my husband. This book is a must for newlyweds or any couple living together and cooking together!
11 Excellent advice
An excellent read - they have captured any argument over food you have ever had in a relationship! Not only that, but they provide great ideas and suggestions on how to work through them. I especially enjoyed the chapter about how an adventurous eater and picky eaters.
