Good news animal lovers! Microsoft's
Zoo Tycoon gets another expansion pack, this time it's all wet with
Marine Mania. First it was zoo animals, then dinosaurs (the
Dinosaur Digs expansion pack, which is also included in this package), and now it's marine life.
Marine Mania lets you build a water park like SeaWorld, complete with dancing penguins, bottle-nosed dolphins, or your own version of Shamu the Killer Whale.
The expansion pack fits right into the existing core gameplay of Zoo Tycoon. You manage your park, listen to your customers, plan the layout, listen to your "specialists" (zoo keepers) for the right mix of exhibit size and food for your various critters, and watch everyone enjoy the park. Add an amphitheater to any pen and you've got ample seating for a show. There are 20 marine animals (from jellyfish and sperm whales to orcas and great white sharks) and some animals (dolphins, orcas, etc.) double as terrific entertainers. Once again, you can always mix animals, and of course the only violence comes from mixing carnivores with the gentler fishes. But Marine Mania is as kid friendly as ever, so the best you get is some thrashing during a great-white feeding frenzy, rather than red-tinted waters. Drop a human in the pool and they simply swim out. Darn. Keeping with the kid-friendly theme, the game also features an encyclopedia entry on each critter, which makes the gameplay almost as educational as a trip to a real water park.
The only problems are the game engine and graphics. Microsoft targeted low-end computers, which is fine, but as time goes on each expansion pack looks more and more behind the times. The animation in Marine Mania is simple and quickly becomes boring, and that's something that should never be said about a shark feeding frenzy or trick-performing dolphins. Still, the expansion pack is an absolute must for fans of the original game, particularly those who skipped Dinosaur Digs since Marine Mania generously includes that earlier expansion pack. Parents should strongly consider this series a fun learning tool as well. And naturally, fans of water parks, marine life, and the Zoo Tycoon series can't go wrong here. --Andrew S. Bub

1 Educational...Exciting...Everything you'd ever need!
This is great for all ages, all types of people. You don't need to be a teenage computer geek to love this game, or a child future vet to love this game.
The graphics are really good, and the animals are so real. It's more detailed than RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 2, but it doesn't have quite as many options.
We recently went to Animal Kingdom at Disney World, and I knew all about every animal we saw on the safari: okapi, Thompson's gazelle, clouded leopard...when we were passing the okapi, I even said to my mom, "Man, those animals are high maitenance. They're never happy, and always have to live by themselves!" Of course, she was wondering WHY IN THE WORLD I would know about an animal she had never heard of until then. After passing the Thompson's gazelles I said, "Oh, I love those things. They are so easy to take care of, and I can even add other animals in there with them! They love to be with zebras, and even giraffes! They mostly just need savannah terrain, so it's pretty simple." Yet another awkward stare at my astounding knowledge.
Who would've ever guessed that it could be this educational? You can even see what different animals eat, and what their poop looks like!
Now let's talk about the shows. You can get some dolphins or killer whales, or some other animals, to come out and do a show for you! It's quite simple. You just have to conduct a show with the already-purchased toys, buy stadiums for the audience, and sit back and enjoy the show! It's really cool seeing the dolphins swimming around and performing tricks.
The Dinosaur Digs part isn't that great. I personally don't really enjoy the dinosaur part, unless I'm freeing them to kill everyone. Sometimes I block the exit so the guests won't leave, fire all of the workers so they can't stun-gun the animals, and free everyone: the lions, bears, tyrannosaurus rex's...it's so fun to see all the people running away and screaming...

3 A MUST!
I have always loved the Ocean and marine life, especially killer whales. My first sim game was Zoo Tycoon [must have to play Marine Mania]. I loved it. But it wasn't quite what I was lookig for. I wanted marine animals. This was the perfect game! It is so much fun. You can't stop playing it. You get to customize shows, create tanks, buy animals such as Killer whales, Dolphins, sea turtles, Humpback whales, and way more. Plus you get all of the animals from zoo Tycoon ,too. You do everything the way you want. You even learn a thing ot two. By Marine Mania and you'll be happy for the rest of your life.
4 Must have game!
This game is so much fun. When I first played it I loved it from right then and there. It taught me how zookeepers take care of the animals and how it is a place of buisness. If you love sea world animals and dinosaurs this is the right game for you!
5 VERY Entertaining
This game was very fun and very entertaining. I still play it and I have had it for some time now. The animals are very cute--but at the same time are very needy. It is fun to be able to run your own zoo. Although there is some cons to the idea...when the animals aren't happy they get tooken away, the guests may tend to get angry and your zoo may be a total stinker! But if you follow the instructions and do the best you can then your zoo will be the best it can be! :)

Marine Mania is a great computer game. Not only can you build zoo animals but you can build water animals too!!!!! With some water animals you can even do shows!!!!!! Marine Mania is a great game for all ages!!!!!!!

I love the Zoo tycoon pack of Marine Mania. With so many fun animals to work with it is the best! I love the dolphins the best because they can do really cool tricks. But this is a complicated game, so if I was a beginner to the Zoo Tycoon's I would start out with the Zoo tycoon then the Dinosaur Digs then the Marine Mania. Have Fun!

If you got zoo tycoon you will love this game. Have you ever seen a white shark? If you don'n in this game you will. The white shark is my favorite animal of the game. I love this game too because I can pick up the guest and you can put the guests in the exhibits and is fun when the animals attack them. This game also includes The Dinosaur Digs Exapansion Pack and You don'n have to buy the dinosaur digs game is'n that true. It incluedes more than 20 new animals and 10 new terrains. 10 I love this game!
This game is the best! It comes with the Dinosaur Digs expansion pack to! I love taking mean geusts and locking them up with, hhhmm, how about T-Rex? That brings in a new thing, in this expansion pack you can now pick up guests, I love puting geusts with a Orca, when you do this the Orca might play with the geust! On the back ESERB says "Mild Violence", don't think of that. The only thing that some people would call "Mild Violence" in this game is the animals getting out, and beleve me there is no blood or anything just some poeple runing and SOME TIMES (but not much) some one getting shaken up by the animal, but most of the animals wont even think of it, this Animals Escaping thing is really entertaining and they made it G rated so don't worry. The animal noises are so life like to! If you hear some one say that the graphics are bad just throw that person in with the Loins or may be some Hamer Head Sharks, just kidden! But I had a point, I don't know why people say that this game is 2D. Oops, sorry, I didn't mean to be the king of gossip there :-O . You can make animal shows, the goal here is to entertain geusts and more importently keep the animals happy. 11 Great game!
This is a great game if you like animals. It does get a little annoying when across the screen it says " zookeeper 11 is having trouble getting into girafe gardens". Zookeeper 11 just isn't smart enough. Eventully he will get in the exibit. It is fun to make the exibits right for the animals, although the animals usally have complaints. It is also annoying because if the guests are thirsty and put him in front of a drink stand he walks away without bying a drink. He does`nt see the machine. He isn't smart enough. The game is fun and has okay graphics. I would recomend it to someone who has the time and patient to work with the animals. (and guests.)
12 Zoo-Tycoon: Marine MANIA
If you have the original Zoo Tycoon computer game, this is a fun addition, complete with great marine creatures. I would suggest it for boys and girls, ages 9+. You can create animal parks with both traditional Zoo animals as well as marine organisms. Very addictive! The only down side to having it, is that your zoos from Zoo Tycoon get erased, and you have to rebuild them. Overall, a great game!

This CD rocks. I love it and play it constenly. It is so fun. You make your own zoo and have shows. You also get to put up resturaunts, food stands, and entertainment. They're are tons of animals to choose from too. Well anyway Get up and buy it now!
14 Fun!
I really enjoyed the first Zoo Tycoon, and for people who want to create the ultimate animal park, this is the expansion pack to get. There is a wealth of detail in this game and quite a lot of new features. I love the listening to the people cheer at my dolphin shows, and the creepy calls of a full dinosaur park in action is something to behold! There is a wonderful range of animals to choose from, as well as food stalls and decorate accents.
However, I find this version a little more difficult to use. Setting up your aquatic tanks, keeping them clean, and creating a show tank take a little persistance and concentration. There also seems to be a new feature of the dinosaur park in that even if you use the strongest fences and keep them meticulously maintained, the carniverous dinos can still bash through and cause a little havok on your park. I get the impression though that this might have been intentionally built into the design, and that perhaps dinos are supposed to be more of a challenge to keep. (Hence also the requirment to keep a helocopter pad in your park to capture stray dinos.) I like to keep a well ordered park myself, but there is some fun also in watching a huge raving dino rage about your pathways, flinging guests and causing screaming and pandemonium!
This is a good game, but more suited to adults or children with high attention spans and a lot of patience. I did have a few minor problems with my dino park crashing, but it seems to be a relatively rare occurance. Overall, I recommend this game for any one that loves detailed simulation games that allow you to get into the nitty gritty of creating.
15 relly cool!
Zoo tycoon was fun but after a few months i got a little tierd of it. so i went on E-bay and picked up a copy of Marine Mania (Includes Dinosaur Digs!) and this is a cool Expansion pack you get buld cool exebits!! and shows!! with new senarios!! that are relly cool! buy it now!
16 Fun game for the entire family!
The Zoo Tycoon series is one of the greatest thing to happen to RTS (Real Time Strategy) since the invention of the optical mouse! Marine Mania offers a new twist with the introduction of animals that must have aquatic habitats.
This game also comes with the "Dinosaur Digs" expansion, which is frustrating if you have already purchased it, and great if you haven't The combination of the games gives you a ton of challenging scenerios and batch of animals to keep in your zoo.
I only wish you could pick up unhappy guests and throw those whiners in the lake like you can in Roller Coaster Tycoon!
Overall, this is a fabulous game with tons of replay value. It is a good, non-violent game to add to your collection.

This is a great add-on to the Zoo Tycoon series. The animals and the buildings are really slick and can add a lot to your zoo. However, I can't think of anything else they can do for this series to keep it running....

When I first perchased the original Zoo Tycoon I was a little bit disapointed. The graphics wern't bad but there were no sea creatures or barely any aquatic animals beside the crocodile, polar bear, sea lion, hippo, and penguin. Yet when I purchased Marine Mania my troubles were solved. ( I have always had an enterest in marine biology. )You get new buildings, objects and animals such as the great white shark, sperm whale, and atlantic sword fish. Along with regular marine exibits you can build a marine mammal/fish show. But only the killer whale, bottlenose dolphin, California Sea Lion, Southern sea Otter and Great White Shark will preform in tanks.But when you create your marie habitat be sure to buy a tank filter or a marine specialize the maintenece of your tank. When you get marine Mania you also get Dino digs. With dino digs you create a Prehistoric and Ice Age feeling to your super zoo. You get new stuff and of course Dinosaurs and prehistoric beasts such as the Wooly Mammoth, Velocioraptor and of course Tyrannosaurus Rex. But tou don't just get them full grown you purchase them as eggs and assign scientists to help it hatch. So you get Sea World and Jurassic Park in one Box! Be warned the sharks, sperm whales and Tyrannosaurus will eat guests that you put in their exibits !!Its fun to watch a gust get devoured by The rex. But these animals will only eat grown men not women,or children. The creators must have been sexist. A few codes: put a mermaid stachue in a tank and a living mermaid will burst from it. To get all the dinosaurs at the begining of the freeform game Name a guest Dinoman and all dinos shall become avalible whith out any consevation funding. If you want to have unlimited money hold down Shift and 4 and your money will rise rapidly, just make sure you do it at the begining befor you create any exibits for the fences shall decay and the tank water will turn brown. For the Dinosucus Crocodile name an exibit Supercroc and you shall be able to adopt this animal. Name an Exibit Cretaceous Corral and the Tricerotops shall become avalible, make sure you leave the exibit name as Exibit 1, 2, 3 , ect. then rename it. If you do not do it in this order the game WILL CRASH. Bottom Line: Good game,should keep gamers on ther computers for days strait.

I love this game 'cause I love animals (especially dolphins). I think it's cool that you can build marina shows and everything!! I hate that you have to pay to get more animals, though, but if you're bored at home, don't watch TV, get ZOO TYCOON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zoo Tycoon:marine Mania is the best PC game that I own. The graphics are good and it is easy to play.The best part about it is making your own marine show for your guests to watch.Their is a variety of animals and buildings to choose from.I spend hours and hours plaing it.It is a great game and is fun for the whole family.

I play zoo tycoon about 2 hours per day when I can. I downloaded about 50 new items, and want more! Zoo Tycoon is fun, and I share my zoos with my friends.

24 This game is addictive!!
I bought this game for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it! I got so involed in helping her set her zoo up that I decided to start my own zoo. If you're in to landscape design this game is for you. They have just about every type of tree, bush and terrain god makes. They also have flower beds and topiary. Our expansion pack included Dino Digs too, so there are lots of fossil rocks,lava and mud pits as well. I think the best part is designing the zoo.
The aquariums are easy to build. There are lots of sharks and whales, but not many fish. The game includes several tutorials to make game play easier. It even has a kids map, with pre-built exibits. Excellent game, very educational. It's pretty complex though. I would recommend it for ages 10 and up
25 One of the best games ever!!
This game is great! I am 13 years old and my three brothers, who are 10,7 and 4, love it too. My 4 year old brother needs a little bit of help when he plays it, and my 7 year old brother just needed a little bit of help the first time he played it.
And my 10 year old brother is really good at it(except on his first try, six walruses climbed out of their tank and scared the pants off of all the people), and of course, so am I.
We have just the trial version and it's really good but it will be even better with the real Zoo Tycoon(it needs it to run completly).
The animals are SOOOOOO cute! Especially the orcas and polar bears. You can even name all of them, too. Its like you're running your own zoo! You have to keep all the guests happy by supplying hamburger stands, drink stands and restrooms.
You can even make your own orca show and you can put which tricks you want to be performed in the order that you want them to be in.
It's a little tricky to keep the Allosauruses and the Velociraptors happy, but you'll soon find out that they like half of one kind of terrain and half of another.
Get this game! It's GREAT!
P.S: Whatever you do, DON'T use concrete walls for an Allosaurus! It'll break right through them. :)
26 Don't Tell Your Kids, But It's Educational!
Educational because they'll learn (1) all about animals and their environments and (2) how to run a business. So, whether your a fervent animal person or a raging capitalist, this game has something for everyone!
The graphics are great, especially the actions of the animals. You can create your own aquatic animal shows, and those are really fun to watch, especially if your customers enjoy it (they stand up and applaud).
This expansion pack also includes Dinosaur Digs, so it's a great deal. And the possibilities of running a zoo with land animals, dinosaurs, and aquatic animals are fun, fun, fun.
All in all, it provides hours of fun!
27 This game rocks!
I got this for Christmas from Santa and this game really rocks. It won't work alone, you have to have the original Zoo Tycoon. I really wanted this game and I was really excited when I saw it also had Dinosaur Digs on the disk! It's a lot of fun to play and I could play on my computer for hours, but my mom won't let me she said it's bad for your hands and wrists and eyes. But this game is still a lot of fun. I really like trying to make the animals happy! I don't really care about making the people happy but if they are not happy then the zoo will have no money coming in so I guess I have to keep everyone happy.
I am 9 years old and really, really like this game! You should get it!!
28 A great expansion!
Lets see.......hmmmmm, San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal park meets Jurassic Park and Sea World. What is not to love about this game? It is also very educating. Also they have some nice and fun easter eggs and cheats. One secret I can tell you is if you put a mermaid statue in a tank of water than it transforms into a real mermaid. The only con that I have about this game and I hope that they make one more expansion with this in it is that there are not any "real" birds. They need to have eagles, falcons, hawks, etc. I think this would make it complete. But other than that this game is awesome.
29 Makes Zoo Tycoon worth having!
Again, this was purchased for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas. It was to go along with the original Zoo Tycoon that she received for Christmas. She wanted Dinosaur Digs as well but I wasn't about to buy all 3 at one time and since she is so into dolphins I figured this expansion pack would be worth it. And boy was it! I was pleasantly surprised when I received my shipment and it said it was a "double" expansion kit and included Dinosaur Digs as well! That alone was worth the price! When you put this double expansion kit together with the original Zoo Tycoon you can't go wrong! It made the whole "building your own zoo" come alive! The sounds, the people, the animals, everything is just thrilling about these games! And it is very educational for children as they have to keep the animals and zoo visitors happy at all times, whether it's with feeding the animals, feeding the visitors, lowering the price on the food and gift stands, putting up more restrooms, adding more foliage or animals to an animal cage, sending maintence workers to clean up an area, etc. Children will learn about money, responsibility, and so much more with this game without even realizing it!
This is a wonderful expansion pack to add to your original Zoo Tycoon!
30 Wasn't too impressed with original...this is great!
Like i said in my title, the original Zoo Tycoon did not thrill me. Just when I thought I had wasted ...Marine Mania came to the rescue. It took me a while to finally decide: what the heck, I'll get it. I was not dissapointed. I mean, great whites and T. Rex's, who could possibly pass it up? With almost 80 new animals, this game is vastly expanded. You can build tanks that actually have depth (unlike the previous water terrain tool), and house animals such as orca whales, giant squids, and many different kinds of sharks. Plus, certain animals can put on shows! You can impress your guests by having your orcas of dolphins do amazing jumps and breaches, play with balls, and many more amazing tricks! THe great white shark can even perform in shows; you can have your sharks do breaches and feeding frenzies! You can hire marine specialists to train, feed, and doctor your marine animals. You can even put marie plantlife and sunked ships into your tanks to make your animals feel right at home. Many new scenarios and freeform zoos are also available, includinga Kids Zoo, in which everything is unlocked! Plus, this expansion includes the Dinosaur digs expansion as well! Finally, we can turn our zoos into Jurrasic park! You can house dinosaurs such as fast and lethal velociraptors, the huge Apatosaurus, and of course, a T. Rex! This is definitely everything I hoped for in an expansion, even though the original was pretty unsatisfactory. Also, here is a little cheat:
Hold down Shift, then 4 too get lots of money, but be careful, it could delete some or your fences, so do it early in the game!
31 Not really for kids?
I bought this game for my 2 kids age 6 and 8. The game is a little bit too complicated for them. I had to sit down and try and learn it to allow them to play. The game ran way too slow for my patience and required a lot of learning. I would only recommend it for older kids or adults who have alot of time to invest and already have a pretty powerful computer system.
32 Great Double Expansion Pack to have!
I was quick to get the first expansion pack (Dinosaur Digs) being a fan of Jurassic Park...how could I resist building my own Dino adventure. After playing with Dinosaurs....how could I see feeding fishes in this 2nd expansion any fun? Well, I'm happy to say it is...and this pack adds a LOT!
I admit, I only got this game because it was on sale....and I am glad I did! First, if you don't have Dino Digs...do not worry, because this pack comes with it included! That's right you get Marine Mania and Dino Digs both at the same time! For those previous owners of Dino Digs, there was a rebate available for buying this reduntantly. (check with Microsoft for current availbility and details).
So, the Dino Digs part....ya, its cool. You get dinosaurs to add in (which are violent and expensive as you can imagine) along with other ancient ice-age friends and some great prehistoric theming elements!
The Marine mania adds a lot to the gameplay. First, you are able to now think on another plane of building as your tank displays can be tall and deep opposed to the just the X & Y layouts of your other creatures. Second, some of these animals like to perform...not only do you custom build their show tank and arena for guests (unlike the other 1 click drop and place bear insta-shows in the game)...but you also customize the show "script" (ie: what tricks they do and what order) A neat little income aspect to control. Thirdly, there is of course a great variety of new animals ranging from dolphins to eels to squid along with a few amphibic animals...and of course the great marine life themed shops, statues, and attractions.
Everything else I've said about Zoo Tycoon in another review stays the same...the game is a bit challenging of a sim. There are tons of factors to control while building and caring for your park. If you enjoy Zoo Tycoon, you will absolutely love what this expansion pack opens your game to become. This adds so much that it'll make the game playable countless times (did I mention the wonderful "freeform" sandbox modes!?) All I have else to say that if Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 and this Expanded Zoo Tycoon were all one game...I would never have to open my CD tray!

I think this game is a great game because the animals need accual things to servive and u get to pick from 150 different types of animals whith all the expantions and you get to try to make the visiters happy.
I recumend zoo tycoon and its expantions to all and me and my dad play and my dad doesnt like to menny games on computers to this should tell you that every one likes to play this reality game.

34 Move Over Maxis..... Here Comes Microsoft
Zoo Tycoon is loved by me. It is a very fun game. I hope to own it this christmas. I own both the original and Zoo Tycoon Dino Digs and they both caught my attention. If i could meet the creators of the game I would say thanks because it is amazing how an animal reacts. Sometimes it even gets funny when you lets dinosaurs out. They eat up the people! Here are a few pros and cons of Zoo Tycoon

After 5 hours of playtime it gets more boring, but it will always be a beloved game.

I have been a huge fan of sim type games for literally yeras. I mean I have loved these type of games since the very first sim city on Super Nintendo. I picked up the first Zoo Tycoon on it's release date and loved every aspect of the game. Knowing, pretty much what I was getting into before I even played it, this game absolutely did not disappoint.
I also picked up Dinosaur digs on release date and got everything that I expected out of it. Although a bit smaller than I had hoped. This did not surprise me however because I have bought many expansions and many of them have been smaller than necessary.
Marine Mania is as good as expansion packs can get. Not only does the expansion pack include Marine Mania, but it also includes Dinosaur Digs, which kind of made me upset me because I just purchased it a couple of months ago. Anyways, I don't care too much for reviews that ramble on, but Marine mania is well worth the purchase, because not only do you get the one expansion, you get a full two expansion packs. So for those of you whoo liked the first Zoo Tycoon and have not picked up Dinosaur Digs yet (or even have picked it up) I suggest that you buy this expansion, it is seriously much fun. Pick it up and enjoy!

37 Marine Mania - addicting
Excellent game for my 7 yr old daughter. This really captures her attention. Our whole family loves it! My husband even plays it. Highly recommend.

The reason I gave Marine Mania a 4 is due to lack of information.Just like Dino Digs you are on own knowing what keeps the fish happy.Microsoft/Blue Fang need to take a lesson from Maxis and come out with a manual everytime you release a expansion.I guess when your Bill Gates you don't care about us average hard working people as long he gets our money.
40 A Great Zoo Just Got Better
The Marine Mania expansion pack of Zoo Tycoon is great. While adding marine wildlife and shows to your zoo increases the level of challenge, I have personally enjoyed Marine Mania more in the past week that the past several months of Dinosaur Digs. But don't get me wrong, I still want my Dinosaurs.
The increase in features such as new marine animals, tanks instead of exhibits, new buildings for making $$$ and very decorative foliage all add a whole new look to any zoo, making a great zoo even better.
41 zoo tycoon is fun but buggy
Marine mani is a fun addition, however there are some bugs in it and the worst is where it crashes the game (did not start until I had built a lot.) Don't know, but the system can send an error report to Microsoft. Nothing worse than building a great exhibit only to lose everything since your last save. Wait until the bug fixes are in to buy!
42 Zoo Tycoon Marine Mania Expansion Pack
This is a great addition to the Zoo Tycoon game. You can assign jobs to the maintenance workers. It's worth the price for that feature!

if this game is as good as the other ones(which i know it will be) it will be awesome. I can't wait till till it comes out. It has a mermaid for the secret animal.

I have bought all of the zoo tycoons in the set. I have orded marine mania. When I bought the first one I was disapointed because they had no dolphins or whales. I told all my friends that it was a bummer but now that marine mania is out I can own my favorite animals!
47 Can't Wait 'til it comes out!
About 2 months ago, I got the original zoo tycoon, and dino digs. My friend(who also has the games) told me about downloads for them on the internet. So, i began searching for some until I came to one site. I saw the words 'marine mania,' so I read a few sentences about this. I thought it looked pretty cool, but wasn't really thinking because I was tire. A few weeks leter, I was with my friend and we were looking for downloads at her house. We came to the same site I had been on and I saw something new there. There were about 5 screenshots, and we were in awe when we saw them! We looked at the dolphins, and all we could saw was "Awwwww!" Ever since then, we have been waiting and counting the days! We both plan to buy it on the 17th! This game looks awesome! The graphics are great, and so are the new features! I saved every screenshot I found for it, and use them as my desktop background! I can't wait!

Ok, if you liked Zoo Tycoon and Dinosaur Digs then you will love Marine Mania.I am told that there will be ton's of new items and 10 new terrains. There will also be 20 new marine animals:

You could also make dolphin and whale shows.

49 Zoo Tycoon et al.....
I love Zoo Tycoon (not Dino Digs so much) and I'm sure Marina Mania will be awesome - judging by webshots and the buzz at various fansites. I can't wait to incorporate "3D" water into exhibits. But I do have a word of warning for those who are not familiar with the Zoo Tycoon games. This game is not for people who like fast-paced action games. No explosions or monsters to kill, - no gore (unless an amimal escapes, or you let one loose). So this might bore some to tears. But, that being said, it's still a great game. It's very challenging trying to keep animals and visitors happy and have a cool looking zoo. If you ever wanted to be a zoo keeper when you were a kid, you NEED this game!
50 A dream come true
I love Zoo Tycoon but have been disappointed by Dinosaur Digs, mainly because the animals are really hard to keep happy and I'm not that big on dinosaurs. I have told people that aquarium animals would be the perfect expansion pack and now it's coming! I have a degree in marine biology but have never worked in my field. At least now I can play in it!

54 Splash out on Marine Mania and you won't be disappointed
Zoo Tycoon: Marine Mania is a very cool expansion pack for Zoo Tycoon.
Although it was very good, I actually prefer this to the first expansion pack Dinosaur Digs. There are a lot more new features. You must put your marine animals in tanks instead of exhibits, adjusting the height and choosing the right foliage.
You can hire marine specialists to look after the creatures, which include orca whales, seals, rays, squids, otters, great white sharks and many more - over 20 in total.
There are loads of new shops and attractions to please your guests with.
You can also put on shows with some of the animals. You can choose exactly what the animals do in the shows, in which order, and schedule it as to how often you want the show to happen.
There are several new scenarios for those players who like the challenges.
You also now get the ability to pick up guests and put them wherever you want...including in exhibits and tanks!
I think this is a great expansion pack for Zoo Tycoon. It really makes the original Zoo Tycoon game a lot more interesting and also included Dinosaur Digs, so it'll keep you playing the game for much longer than before!
